Too many kids are over scheduled. Organized sports, music... lessons, after school activities... The issue is that kids are missing out on one of the most important activities for their development: Unstructured play. Play is where kids get to use their imagination & creativity. Its how they learn to socialize & develop problem solving skills. Its been shown to support healthy brain development & lower stress. Kids need minimum 1hr a day of time & space to do whatever they please. Make it a pillar in their schedule and add other activities around it.show more
