Backpack's recent update was incredible. They didn't push any... new features (or at least none that I noticed), but it just made the overall experience so much better and smoother. It's a good lesson for everyone who obsesses over adding new features all the time. Most of the time, making the existing product more user-friendly is far more important. I personally use Backpack for the basic things like holding assets, swapping, using apps, and connecting hardware wallets. While it's great that the wallet has stocks, trending assets, and all these other features now, honestly, I couldn't care less about most of them. But as a user, I do care about the core experience being fast, simple, and easy to use, and the basic things I use it for to just be better. Oftentimes, founders obsess over new features to acquire more users and forget the existing ones using the product. Which is also why a good retention rate >>> new users that may or may not stick. This update actually made me want to become a stickier Backpack 🎒 user.show more

People still don't understand how good Codex has become... 👀 I asked it to build this Starbucks website and within some 30 minutes it generated this without me touching a single line of code or spending time looking for assets either. Imagen generated every visual and GPT hooked everything into the codebase. After a couple of small tweaks it all just worked. It didn't even use half of my Codex session. It's super surprising to see quality of the assets. Was way better than I expected. That made me think about what AI is actually changing. Being a developer or a designer was never just about doing the work, writing code or designing it using some kind of tool. It was about knowing what to build in the first place. AI is getting incredibly good at the doing. The hard part is still having good ideas, making the right decisions, and knowing when something feels right. That is only getting more valuable. The people who win won't be the ones writing the most code. They'll be the ones with the best ideas who know how to turn them into reality with AI. Live: Code:show more

HTML Artifacts are a big part of how I... work with agents now. Artifacts can be more than just static files. When combined with agents, they can take action or help you take action. This unlocks all kinds of interesting ways to work with agents. This is clearly the future. Check out this writing and scheduler artifact I built in a few minutes. It uses a bit of HTML and JS. All the data is in markdown (Obsidian vaults), so the agent can access and modify it at any time. No DB needed. No sophisticated functionalities. The agent decides all that for me based on the skills, context, and memory it has access to. The best part about this simple stack is that all the important information stays with me. This has allowed me to build a recursive self-improving system and automations that can better tap into coding agents like Codex or Claude Code. I could have paid or built an entire app for scheduling posts, and there are so many of them out there. But I don't need to. I've realized a simple artifact does the job. And the simplicity of it is actually an advantage. Very little maintenance for very high returns on personalization, time, and efficiency. The other benefit of this is that I can add features as I please. That level of personalization feels magical, and we should all be pursuing more of it. All of this just keeps compounding. Of course, this example is just about writing. But I have similar artifacts for research, design, experimentation, evaluation, and so much more. And no, I didn't actually publish the post example I shared in the clip. It was just for demonstration purposes. I actually spend more time than this when writing together with agents. Lastly, having built my own agent orchestrator tool has made me realize that simplifying the tool stack is a superpower. I’m probably one of the only Teslanaires out there,... if not one of the very few, still cutting my own hair. I cut my own hair again today, and it reminded me that becoming a multi-millionaire usually isn’t a random coincidence. People see the $ and think it just happened. What they usually don’t see are the small habits behind it. Of course, I could go spend $25–$50 on a haircut that probably looks better than the one I give myself. But that’s not really what matters to me. I don’t care that much about looking perfect. I care about controlling my time. I care about staying grounded. I care about keeping the kind of habits that helped me build wealth in the first place. And honestly, I enjoy doing it. I’ve been cutting my own hair for so many years that I don’t even think about going to the barber anymore. It’s just normal to me now. It saves time, keeps me frugal, and reminds me that wealth is usually built in the small choices nobody claps for. That’s the part people miss. A lot of people see wealth and assume it was luck. But a lot of the time, it’s really the result of small disciplined habits repeated for years. Not wasting $ just bc you can. Not wasting time just bc other people do. And the funny part is, one day my fleet of Tesla Bots will probably be doing it for me anyway. But until then, I’m good doing it myself. Bc to me, being wealthy was never about trying to look rich. It was about building a mindset. A mindset that values time, discipline, and freedom more than appearances. And while it’s been a minute since I last made a mixtape 😂 I’ve never stopped sharing music with the people I care about. That sharing has just become a lot easier via Messages on Spotify. That said, I have deep respect for the OG DeePle (Gen 1) holders, and preserving the value of Gen 1 is always at the forefront of my mind. Future generations, Gen 2, Gen 3, and beyond, will have a much larger supply, which I believe will naturally make Gen 1 feel more rare and exclusive over time. The differences between Gen 1 and future Gens will be subtle but noticeable, things like name tags, background colors, alien skin options, and a few surprises I’m not ready to reveal just yet. As an artist, one of the challenging aspects has always been connecting with the right people who truly care about the work. Creating the perfect drop mechanic is never easy, but I try to keep things as simple and fair as possible. Striking that balance is key, and I felt that a FCFS approach within the allocation was the most fair this time around. While I know not everyone may agree, adding more complexity didn’t feel like the right path either. As for DeePle holders, I want each of you to build a deeper connection with your DeePle, give it a name, create a lore, customize its clothes, and use the art however you like. The new Product Page Header image in the App... Store will not matter. First you need users to actually want to enter your App Store listing. And the reality is that a lot of users NEVER enter the listing. They search for something, see the app in the search results and download it directly from there. So the important update here is the new Search Results image. It's an app banner inside the App Store search results. And you should think about it as a persuasive ad. COPYWRITING will be what matters. Not the fancy "branding". Users are searching because they want an answer to something. Your creative needs to give them that answer immediately. And this becomes even more important with Apple Ads. You can pay to appear for the keyword, but your creative still needs to convince the user that your app is the answer they were searching for.show more

We just released a new marketing site and I... wanted to talk through some of the changes that we made and why. Design thinking is the other side of the feed, it's usually more nuanced than the flashier parts and typically doesn't hold up as well to a quick scroll. Doesn't bode well for this thread! But, this will be my attempt to talk through the changes made and why. First up, this is our new hero. At Loops.so, our goal right now is to be the only platform you need to email your users The H1 matches that intention and the subheader reinforces it. We also wanted it to be clear we ship fast and often, so we added a pill showing the latest featured changelog. Agents are part of how people build software today, so we wanted to give that the second most important placement on the page, right after signup. Finally, the logo strip should not distract too much, but it should still help people understand these are users, not just logos. So we added the date of first payment from Stripe next to each logo. While I have premium I definitely want to do... a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. As blast gets closer to launch, I wanted to... share some background on how it started and its key features. The original idea was simple: let creators tokenize their tweets and allow users to buy or sell tokens just by commenting. To make this work, we needed to create wallets linked to each Twitter handle, allow users to fund these wallets, and use LLMs to interpret comments like "buy 1% of XYZ", executing trades based on user intent. This concept also worked great for social tipping. In the attached video, I send money to Matteo without needing to know his wallet address, simply by commenting under his tweet. The transaction was processed quickly, with the LLM interpreting my comment in real-time. Matteo could then retrieve the funds sent to his handle by signing in with it at GiveRep. However xWallet didn't work out due to legal complexities (self-custody related). Hi FGC friends. I picked up a Brooks Wingman... FGC 2 myself from to test some older sticks on PS5 cause of issues using them on PS5 for some games. Did a quick Firmware update through their website here: (Hold the side buttons while plugged into PC and grab the latest update) I then tested all of these myself that didn't work in game for Avatar before that are now working instantly. Hopefully a patch comes out before the event for legacy controllers but I wanted to test this as a backup option while I chat with Brook Converters directly about getting some loaners for pools at the event. So far no issues, timeouts or anything so this may be your a good option for the mean time to use all of your sticks/controllers on PS5 in general. If you're having issues please let me know what controller/stick you're trying to use and I'll see if I have it to try myself. Hi everyone, this week I finally received the new... ANyONe Relay! ANyONe Protocol is an interesting DePIN focused on building a more decentralized internet and making our privacy more secure 💯 I'm still waiting to release a video because the new Dashboard isn't active yet but for those interested the most important points that I want to highlight are these: 1) The #Miner is Plug&Play so easy to install, just follow the initial steps and you're fine, once installed you don't have to do anything else. 2) There is no limit for IP but if for example you put 2 Relays in the same #IP it isn't certain that you will have double rewards, because they basically do the same job, to get more rewards it's better to use different IPs. 3) To make the Relay operational it's necessary to open port 9001 in your Modem. Without this operation the #mining will basically not start, so make sure you have a modem or connection that can open the ports. I just built my own wiki generator plugin for... my agents. My agents can now generate wikis for anything I ask. One of my favorite wikis is called PaperWiki. This is a great example of what Andrej Karpathy describes. It uses obsidian vaults to organize papers, retrieve LLM-generated summaries, diagrams, and other advanced views for paper exploration. When Obsidian UI is not enough, I use my own artifact generator inside my agent orchestrator (see clip for example). This allows my agents to build any kind of view or exploration feature that I need. The papers are all curated with automations and several rules/patterns I have manually built over the years. On the surface, this looks basic. But behind the scenes, there are advanced search capabilities, connections, metadata, derived data, and other interesting bits of information that are extremely useful for my research agents. This is mostly built for agents. The artifact preview is just a high-level way to validate and quickly assess the quality of the wiki, suggest improvements, and it's also great for research. I use tobi lutke's qmd for all search capabilities. Everything is markdown. The summaries and even the diagrams. The wiki updates on its own based on several automations I have optimized over the past couple of weeks. The wiki grows and self-improves based on several requirements important for my research use cases. This is as personalized as it gets. There is nothing like it out there. And I use my research expertise to continue improving it over time. This is a vanilla wiki. There are so many things I want to build on top of this. Different aggregations, views, artifacts, etc. All to help automate more of my research work and accelerate productivity. I think the biggest leverage here is how powerful this could be for discovery and experimentation. One of my goals is to use it to find deeper connections and insights that would otherwise elude the top human researchers and use those to generate interesting new hypotheses and research experiments.
