Pi rocks. the fact it can be steered programmatically... to such an extent is sick. below we have a structure: - coordinator speaks with me - it's the only one seeing the project broadly: vision, build board, feature lanes - it can spawn workers in separate sessions - workers are dispatched with a feature card and just enough context to deliver, nothing that would distract them - when workers are finished, reviewer kicks in in a separate session. it either accepts the work or sends it back with findings, to a fresh worker, never the one that wrote it. coordinator gets woken either way most of the logic related to communication happens deterministically, so there's a very little chance something relevant is skipped. Wow! Send A File By Just The Camera! A... vibe coder used AI to build a file transfer system that sends data between two phones using only a screen and a camera. One phone displays a new type of animated QR codes while the other scans them to rebuild the file, with no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cables needed. It is fully optical and local. The system uses fountain codes that create each QR frame as a random mix of file data. This keeps transfers working even if some frames are missed, reaching speeds of about 129 KB/s for a 2 MB image. The entire project was built in one night and released as open source. The idea came from a music project where the developer wanted to share MP3 files without streaming or using the same network. Today, we clocked 7 weeks into the intensive programming... training I earlier talked about. The 12 of them made a deposit of N2M each as a security. It’s a 9 months program and once they are done they get back their funds with a bonus of N500k and a guaranteed job. I could feel the very impressive progress and energy. The lady in yellow wanted to run away after the first week but a little word of encouragement changed everything. She now leads group A on an Ajo App project with C. My aim is to train top quality engineers with deep understanding of first principles and core programming concepts. We finally pulled the plug on per day pricing.... It had to be done. The problem with per day pricing is it always creates winners and losers. - If we’re on site for 8 hours and don’t quite finish, we feel obligated to work extra to get it done. We lose. - If we finish a project in 5 hours and the customer paid for 8, they feel like they lost. It’s a simple system to start with. Customers understand it, it’s easy to quote, but it’s not scalable. It relies too much on experience and too much back and forth. So we switched to project based pricing. Now we’ve got 3 tiers of brush density and 3 tiers of terrain. Tier 1 is easy, Tier 3 is tough. Pricing scales per quarter acre, with volume discounts on larger jobs. It seems more complex on paper, but in reality it’s repeatable, reliable, and something we can train any new hire to do. We calculate the project, send the estimate, and that’s it. No more “estimated days” language. No more winners and losers. We’re much happier with this system.show more

Kitten update #8: The kitties are back home! Everyone... is getting very strong and active now. I forgot to take their weights this morning so I'll have to do it before the next feeding, but I'm confident everyone is continuing to gain. We started adding in some wet food today. I mixed up a slurry with some of the formula and stuck it in a syringe with a nipple on it. Nobody took to it right away except gray tuxedo, who loved it, but everyone else got some squirted in while they were chewing on the milk nipple and then they loved it. Well, except for dark tortie, which is a little ironic since she is by far the biggest little monster of the litter, but I guess she's done so well on the formula she's not interested in making a change yet. Butts are all looking SO much better now that I stopped using the wet wipes. However, we have now started to have some concerns about little to no pooping. Dark tortie hasn't pooped for 24 hours so I eliminated the yogurt from the formula and am crossing my fingers for some action before the end of the day or back to the vet she goes. I don't know how long they'll let me play with their tummies like this but it sure is fun for now!show more

Today our Hitana kitchen has expanded to feed 1,600 hungry people everyday. Me and Yusuf wanted to replicate the success of the Hitana Kitchen across Khartoum State so we worked hard to expand our operation. Today the Khartoum Aid Kitchen initiative is the largest community Kitchen operation in #Sudan and has 23 community kitchens affiliated with it. We have hundreds of hard working volunteers and we feed 15,000 hungry people a day and are working to reach more. In addition to this we are also providing food assistance to thousands of those who have been displaced from Khartoum State. Let's talk about agentic product design. Every company has... its own design process. What has always worked for me is spending long studio hours with our product team, dissecting things into pieces and putting them back together. In those sessions we look at value, usability, simplicity, aesthetics, behavior, storytelling, generics, and emotional mapping. I've been crafting products this way for as long as I can remember. Product work at Lemonade isn't for the faint of heart. This obsession over every detail is hard work, but I believe it yields better results and builds stronger talent. One of the things I love about our design and product team is how this process became a second nature to them. Feedback is fast, professional, and tension free. But in our latest session, something was different. One of our designers used Figma and Cursor to build a mockup that was so advanced, it was almost ready to be shipped. It was an incredible glimpse into a world where a single designer working on top of modern low code infrastructure will be able to launch production grade experiences for products with millions of customers, and with LoCo, I expect this to become a reality at Lemonade in just a few quarters. But there's a problem to watch out for. An interesting phenomenon I've noticed over the years is that the higher the fidelity of the work being reviewed, the more defensive people become. When someone shows up with something polished, they tend to resist feedback. They've already fallen in love with what they built, and it's hard for them to accept rejection. Radical candor feedback works best at an early stage of the project, before people get attached and feel the need to defend their work. This session was no exception. Because the work was so advanced, the review became binary, and its maker became defensive. Happily, we all caught ourselves in time to acknowledge this new dynamic and started figuring out how to go back to obsessing about every corner radius, shade of white, and word. When reviewing agentically coded designs, we'll try having our designers bring in more than one option, as well as the open Cursor project so we can make changes in real time if needed. Gujarat sees a GIB chick after a decade, through... a novel conservation measure - the jumpstart approach, coordinated by the Ministry, State Forest Departments of Rajasthan and Gujarat, and Wildlife Institute of India. Envisioned by PM Shri Narendra Modi ji in 2011 to conserve GIB in its natural habitats including Gujrat, Project GIB was launched in 2016. As a result the number of birds in conservation breeding centres, started at Sam and Ramdevra in Rajasthan, have reached 73 with addition of 5 new chicks in this season and we are moving ahead towards rewilding of birds in near future. In achieving another milestone, a female GIB, tagged in August 2025, had laid an infertile egg in Kutch, as this population has lost all its males long back. In a major trans-state conservation effort, a captive-bred GIB egg from the conservation breeding program in Rajasthan was transported by road over 19 hours in a handheld portable incubator and was replaced in the nest on 22 March. The female completed incubating this fertile egg and hatched it on March 26. The field monitoring team found the young chick being reared by its foster mother. This effort is among one of the many steps to recover the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard populations. With the commitment to save GIB, we are making great progress in India’s conservation journey. Congratulations to all scientists, field officers and wildlife enthusiasts who made this possible. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the survival of the chick. Without hesitation, I joined the Ethereum Frogs 🐸 Telegram chat and started grinding for WL. Right away, I met Pran, Sᕼᗩᘻᗩ, 0xSupertramp🥕, and the OGs, who are still in the community today. From that moment, activity in Linea became full of life! ❤️‍🔥 We learned, made mistakes, tried new things - every single day! I went a little overboard with Codex last week... and burned through my entire weekly allowance in two days. Luckily, my quota reset today. Otherwise, I’m not sure what I would’ve done. It got me thinking: instead of asking one large model to handle everything from start to finish, why not let a stronger model plan the project and review the work, while a model built for execution handles the day-to-day implementation? So I tried it. The result was better than I expected. I used GPT-5.6 Sol in Codex as the decision-maker, then ran Ling-3.0-flash from Ant Ling inside OpenCode as the execution engine. Together, they built a small 3D farming game. Before writing any code, I had Codex create four documents: SPEC.md defined the product scope and the lines we couldn’t cross. ARCHITECTURE.md laid out the isometric coordinate system, state machine, and module boundaries. TASKS.md broke the project into small jobs Ling could tackle one at a time. ACCEPTANCE.md explained how each step would be tested and what “done” actually meant. Then I gave Ling a very straightforward role: You are the execution model for this project. Read all four documents before you begin. Work only on the task assigned for this round. When you’re done, run typecheck, test, and build. If anything fails, read the error, fix it, and run the checks again. Do not move on to the next task early. Ling handled dependency installation, project structure, strict TypeScript configuration, test setup, and a production build in 6 minutes and 3 seconds. It ran into issues with the Vite test config, a TS6310 error, and a missing jsdom dependency along the way. Instead of stopping at the first error, it kept reading the logs and fixing the problems until all three checks passed. The speed was honestly hard to believe. If you exclude the time spent waiting on tools, it was producing more than 100 tokens per second. That made the whole development loop feel noticeably faster. After this experiment, I’m planning to keep using the same workflow. If the task is small, there’s no reason to call an expensive planning model for every single step. If the task is large, handing the entire project to a Flash model in one prompt isn’t a great idea either. The setup that makes more sense to me is: Use a more capable model such as Codex to explore the project, make architectural decisions, and break the work down. Put the constraints into specs, schemas, types, and tests instead of leaving them buried in chat history. Give Ling-3.0-flash a steady stream of clear, verifiable implementation tasks. Report bugs with structured context and actual error logs, rather than saying, “It still doesn’t work.” Bring Codex back in for architecture reviews, visual checks, and changes that affect multiple parts of the project. The point of this setup isn’t to give AI a big “build the whole project” button. It’s to turn software development into a pipeline with a much more sensible cost structure: Codex figures out the plan, sets the boundaries, and catches problems. Ling-3.0-flash moves quickly, calls tools reliably, and works through well-defined tasks at scale. For agent workflows that involve lots of repetitive edits, production tasks, and tool calls, this may be a more practical answer than simply using the biggest model for everything.show more

I'm a 35-year-old American I've lived in Argentina for... 5 months so far in 2025 Here are the some things I like more about Argentina than the USA: -It's SIGNIFICANTLY easier to make friends in Argentina. Seriously, I lived in Colorado for the last 10 years, and I was beginning to think I was some fucking weirdo bc of how small my social circle was. The social life here is just so organic. If you're not a weirdo, you just attract friends...especially as an ex-pat. Everyone is always about milling around the city, playing sports, drinking mate, going to cafes/boliches/concerts/events. I don't know why, but in 5 months here, my social circle is already bigger and stronger than the one I had in 10 years in Denver, Colorado. -Politics isn't life here. There's some type of weird brain virus that's destroying the minds of the American people. Politics has seeped into every aspect of the culture fabric and it's become this weird, unavoidable daily reality. In Argentina, the people are well-informed about politics and global affairs, but it doesn't dominate the conversation. Very refreshing for me. -People are generally healthier and more beautiful. In general, the Argentines are some healthy, skinny, beautiful mf's. The men, the women, everyone. No radical Ozempic intervention is required here. -People have less money, but more time and more soul. Average wages here are absolute shite, and so is the Argentine Peso...but people seem to have more time, more energy and less stress, generally. People in the USA have a lot of money, but not a lot of soul. Here it;s the opposite. I've confronted some of the dark aspects of the economic realities here, but generally people are extremely present, laid back and "amable". I'd describe the people here as passionate "life-enjoyers." They are passionate about everything they do. They do it with gusto, soul, and UMPH.
