Remember the wind particles from our biggest models update?... They just made the jump to radar. The particles animate the wind field retrieved from the radar's doppler velocity. You're not looking at a forecast, you're watching the wind the radar actually observed, flowing across the storm in real time. They follow your selected tilt, too: watch low-level inflow and rotation on the base tilt, or step up through the elevations to see the flow aloft. Day 2: Israel decimales Iranian Installations - Iran Retaliates... Unprecedentedly Overnight Israel and the US have been relentlessly bombing Iranian territory on the second day of the war, launching strikes primarily from Iraqi and Saudi airspace. Approximately 1,000 targets have been hit in Iran, including air bases and bunkers. The Iranian navy was also targeted, with 3 to 4 warships sunk. However, it's worth noting that only one of these vessels was modern; the others date back to the 1960s. The hunt for Iranian missile launchers continues, with Israel striking several mobile launchers and anti-aircraft units daily. This is an extremely arduous task, as estimates from The Military Balance suggest Iran may possess up to 500 mobile launchers and hundreds of SHORAD systems. On this second day, Iran decided to strike five bases/airports being used by US-Israel forces all at once. The Saudi Prince Sultan Air Base was hit by multiple ballistic missiles, with several reports of smoke rising. Similarly, Iraq's Ain Al-Asad base was targeted. But nothing compared to the intensity of the attacks on Erbil Air Base in northern Iraq and Ben Gurion Airport, which came under several ballistic missiles overnight. And do you know what the biggest problem is? Iranian missiles are slipping through Israeli and American air defenses like a hot knife through butter. Yesterday and today, I've shown videos where launchers fire up to 9 (or more) interceptors in attempts to down a single Iranian missile, often with little success. Iran's retaliation against US bases in Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE continued on the second day, mainly using drones. As I mentioned yesterday, Iran has proven that the war is only just beginning. It targeted Israeli cities with modern missiles that disperse submunitions during reentry, significantly expanding the affected areas. These missiles had never been used before in combat, showing that Iran is now deploying its most advanced systems, which are also far more resilient to interceptors. At the current rate, interceptors will run out soon, and panic will grip both Israeli and American leadership. Both sides are failing in their primary objective: significantly reducing Iran's launch capacity, which remains high, with roughly 450 missiles and 850 drones ready in just two days. If this pace holds, defensive munitions won't last more than 4-5 days. Based on what we've observed, Iran launches 200-220 missiles per day, while the coalition expends no fewer than 700-1,000 interceptors (or even more), with very limited success. In the best-case scenario, this gives about 5 days of defensive ammo left; in the realistic (worst-case) scenario I've estimated from the interceptions I've seen, it's only 4 days. This puts enormous pressure on the leaders of both countries to seek a ceasefire. I believe that if Iran refuses a ceasefire, both Israel and the US will push for Gulf countries to enter the war, aiming to bolster defenses and deter further Iranian actions. The entry of these countries would be paramount for the US and Israel due to their air support and, especially, their naval power. These Gulf nations possess approximately 400 vessels, including frigates, corvettes, and patrol boats. But until that happens, the war boils down to the same question: What runs out first, Iran's missile launch capability or the coalition's interceptors?show more

Your Excellency William Samoei Ruto William Samoei Ruto, PhD... Today I want you to address the opulence of your office, not that your predecessors were any better. I must, however, give credit to Kibaki; even when he came to Msa, you hardly noticed he was around at the state house. Hangabouts were very disappointed. Mama Lucy was clear: Mzee anapumzika, may their souls rest in peace. As you relax this Sunday, think hard about the sheer waste generated by your motorcade in a country where the majority live on less than a dollar a day. While some in this convoy are not necessarily part of the OP, they are the hangabouts, including CS's and even parastatal heads who want to tag along. This is what is upsetting Kenyans and is akin to vomiting on their bare feet, not even their shoes. Your excellency, you still have time to bring this to an immediate stop, and in the process, you will help in achieving the much-sought-after austerity measures. Some would say, Wait a minute, our President must have protection. Yes, 100%, but more is not necessarily better protection. I don't think you face a higher risk than your counterpart in SA or, even worse, Rwanda, surrounded by unfriendly neighbours. Look at UK PM Entrouge. We are always at their doorstep with a begging bowl, but we are busy zooming around in top-end full-guzzlers. Your excellency You need to do things differently, and Gen Zs would love you, but you are using the same old template. Get rid of this opulence, and you'll be shocked by the budget surplus that will come your way. Think hard about this and get lean on how you run this country. Enjoy your weekend, and as always, I choose to remain an optimist.show more

I mean you do have a very good point,... however I hope you can understand where I come from. (Sorry I’m advance for the long tweet back) This is exactly what I use to do when I was their age. We didn’t have the luxury of an independent scene we do now and even if we did I was 14 years old, I was only allowed to go to a training school to learn the basics. But I had an enormous passion for the business & if I wasn’t allowed to work shows I’d do it myself. - and I’d argue that because of this I had a head start on a lot of the people I trained with when I finally turned 18 From there I’ve been lucky enough to have the support of friends, peers & fans to push me into what I am today. The fact I’ve still had that same style for now 17 years and this is my first surgery, I think I’ve looked after my body. Think about it 17 years this is my first major injury. You think this is stupid, I would say it’s equally as stupid as to fall off a scaffolding breaking both your legs. And while I’m sure there’s a few people that wished you landed on your head, I for one hope you’re doing well & not in too much pain from your injury. But to me, it showed the care that you have for the industry at that time. I see myself in these guys that are finding any outlet to do what they love. Their bumps are solid & basing is great. Like I said I understand there is a level of danger doing this so I hope none of them get hurt but I can’t help but root for these guys and hope I one day see them in a ring. Once again sorry for the long arse tweet and hope the message finds you well boss.show more

Reading with your baby isn’t always as simple as... it might seem. Earlier this week, a parent asked how I’d advise reading to a toddler who may not have the attention span for a full book and who, when handling them, often tears the pages. I’m so glad you asked! This fantastic video, shared to TT a couple years back by hanzcakess, illustrates both the realities of - and several important lessons for - parents and caregivers when it comes to reading with infants and toddlers. First, when reading with very young children it’s important to begin with realistic expectations. At this little guy’s age (which I’m going to guess is around a year, give or take 2 months) babies‘ attention spans are VERY limited. Think 1-2 minutes tops. What does that mean for you? First it means that you’re unlikely to make it through an entire book. And that’s just fine. Rest assured that there’s still great value in the activity. Further, don’t be surprised if your child is more interested in interacting with (or at the earliest stages, even chewing on) the book itself rather than attending to the story it contains. That’s ok too. For both reasons, beginning with sturdy, laminated board books is well advised. Not only do these tend to be super short (with most intended to accommodate for babies’ brief attention spans), but they’re made to withstand the rigors of handling by infants and toddlers. Now, some might look at this video and (on first glance, at least) see primarily inattention. But not me! Here’s what I see: First, I see a completely normal toddler who’s already putting some really impressive book knowledge on display. Notice he’s advancing front to back and left to right as he turns pages sequentially. They’ve done this often. Also want to shout out what a truly fantastic job Dad is doing here. Notice that he’s totally letting his son dictate the terms the activity. He’s not insistent on completing the text, but goes with the flow as his son turns the pages. As the pages turn he’s helping to illustrate that the print on each one contains a unique message. And he’s singing the text! Brown Bear is a great book for this and many board books lend themselves particularly well here. Your baby isn’t judging your singing voice. Kudos on making the experience engaging. In light of all the above, don’t be afraid to stray from the text altogether as needed and use this time to simply engage in conversation about the pictures and introduce some new vocabulary. Finally, while lap reading is fantastic, at this age you may also find benefit in reading face to face, allowing your child to tune into your expressions alongside the book. Remember, there’s nothing your baby loves seeing more than you. Rest assured this stage doesn’t last forever. You’ll be snuggling up for longer sessions in no time. And while we’re on the topic of reading, I want to give a special shout out to my friends at Reach Out and Read, which is a fantastic program you may know from distributing books and sharing advice like this via your pediatrician’s office. Today I’m thrilled to be the guest on their newest podcast, discussing my book The Daycare Myth. I’ll include a link in the first reply below.show more

🔥🚨BREAKING: World Olympic fans are extremely concerned by ‘Quad... God’ Ilia Malinin’s disturbing TikTok posts following his surprising loss. Nicknamed the “Quad God” for his signature quadruple jumps, the 21-year-old U.S. figure skating phenom was seemingly a shoo-in to capture the men’s single skating gold Friday night until he fell twice and missed the podium entirely, settling for an eighth-place finish. Following the loss Malinin started posting cryptic messages: “Sometimes I wish something bad would just happen to me so I don’t have to do it myself,” one said. Another added: “Your little boy is tired, mom.” Malinin also shared videos from an account called “Healing Letters,” which writes messages down in a book. “When I get home and step into my room and my eyes start watering because no one knows how hard I’m truly trying,” one said.show more

Imperium Coffee is back & better than ever! Previously,... I totally failed at marketing this — I focused more on the concept of the brand than the quality of the coffee Which is stupid, bc it’s actually unmatched: -100% arabica -ROASTED TO ORDER -Beans grown b/n 4,000-7,000 feet (Higher altitudes slow the maturation of the beans, which results in fuller and more complex flavor profiles) But over the past several months, I’ve been working on a new site to correct this Not only is it optimized for mobile, but it also shows you everything you want to know about each roast: -Tasting notes -Roast intensity -Origin of the beans -Ideal brewing methods -My personal thoughts …and much more! To celebrate the launch of the new site (link in bio), I’m running a promo for the rest of this week — just use the code REVAMP for 20% off But even if you don’t snag any coffee, do check out the site and let me know what you think! It’s been a long time in the making, and it never could have happened without your feedback. Here’s to the new era of Imperium Coffee! 💪😎☕️show more

‼️🎙️ Great interview from Carlos Alcaraz today at the... Princesa de Girona CongresFest in Murcia, where he spoke a lot about consistency, discipline, and the daily work that goes into the trophies: ❔ “Today we’ve been hearing people talk about research, innovation, exploration… You revolutionized tennis at a very young age. What do you think is behind that ability to keep improving constantly?” 🗣️ Carlos: “Well, I think it’s the desire to learn. When you realize there’s still so much for you to improve, so much for you to learn, in my case, in the world of tennis… in the end you’re competing against players who also want to improve in order to beat you, who want to put themselves in the best possible position. And that’s what motivates you, or at least what motivates me, to keep improving, to keep up with the level of tennis and also keep up with the rate at which my rivals are improving.” ❔ “In elite sport, just like in science and entrepreneurship, a very important part is knowing how to push beyond your own limits. So my question is: what values have been most important in helping you develop that throughout your journey?” 🗣️ “I think consistency. Day-to-day consistency, trying to give your best every single day. “In the end, people probably see the matches, the tournaments, the victories and defeats, but you also have to place a lot of value on what happens behind the scenes: the work you put in every day. “I think that’s the most important thing: going every day, in my case, to the tennis court or the gym with tremendous excitement about trying to give the best of myself, trying to improve so that later it shows on the court. “That consistency of taking things day by day, of trying to control everything necessary to be in the best possible condition when it’s time to compete - that’s what motivates me. And it’s what I value most now in the position I’m in. I’m grateful to the version of myself from six or seven years ago for having done everything possible every single day.” ❔ “People see the trophies and the victories, but they don’t see the work behind them because it’s invisible. What advice would you give to young people, and to all of us, about discipline and consistency, so we can understand how someone like you keeps going?” 🗣️ “Above all, patience. “When I was 14 years old, I had zero patience. I wanted things overnight. I wanted results immediately. Personally, I hate losing at anything, even back there. So I always wanted to win, I wanted everything to work out perfectly, I wanted things to go exactly right. But I think what I’d tell young people is to have patience. “The beautiful thing is the process. It’s the journey. It’s going to a competition or doing something that truly fills you with pride and then seeing that it doesn’t work out. “You fail but what matters is how you get back up, how you come back the next day and try again. “That’s the beautiful part, and that’s the advice I’d give to young people: be patient, enjoy the journey, enjoy what you’re doing, because one day you’ll look back, value it, and feel proud of it.”show more

Thank you Anna Ann YuDan(🦄,🦄) for the magical evening... 🦄🌈 Great pleasure to chat with BULL 0xAndy.eth and Michelle from X Layer (indeed looking interesting to expand our ICM ecosystem into alongside BNB Chain), and what moved me the most was Ann’s sincere and heartfelt talk: “The reason why I have been putting myself into this, is because I have something that I really want to do.” “I want to build something truly meaningful, with people who believe in me, and our shared ideals.” Keep going Ann 💜 The journey of pursuing dream and ideals may be filled with trails and tears, but one thing I can assure you, is that we will never be alone in this journey. Is the Circuit Breaker hack worth it? Much more... than anyone admits. In fact, it could be the missing link you’ve been searching for. If you’ve been sick for a while & nothing seems to move the needle, then you have to look at the one place your body is supposed to do its deepest work YOUR SLEEP. Because if your sleep is broken, your healing is broken. The Melatonin Connection Most people think of melatonin as a “sleep hormone.” But that’s just the surface. It’s actually: - Built in the day by sunlight exposure🌞 - Released at night to coordinate your sleep - One of the most powerful antioxidants in your body..stronger than most supplements you could buy - And it’s directly disrupted by man-made EMFs That’s right. It’s a night hormone but made in the day. So if you live indoors all day under blue light & then sleep in a sea of nnEMFs at night, You’re killing melatonin on both ends. When melatonin is suppressed, 2 critical repair programs become inefficient: - apoptosis = cell's controlled self-destruction - autophagy = cell's recycling & cleaning system which means your body doesn’t repair or regenerate properly. And all of this happens at night while you’re sleeping. Most people think they’re fine because they “turn off the WiFi” or “keep the phone in airplane mode” That's a good first step.. but far from enough. Because even when your devices are off, your walls are still radiating nnEMFs The wires inside your bedroom walls are carrying ELF-EMFs (extremely low frequency fields) & Dirty electricity. That invisible noise is penetrating your body while you sleep. If you live in a high rise with hundreds of neighbours, it’s even worse. and not everyone has the luxury of moving their bed 6-8 ft away from the walls. The Solution? It might sound old school, even extreme. But it works Trip the Circuit Breaker. Flip the switch & kill the power to your bedroom, at least during the hours you’re sleeping. It’s one of the simplest ways to drastically reduce your nighttime EMF load. It's simple but not EASY. Would you do it?show more
