Done with the iPhone Duo's folded mode, scrubbing vertically... surprisingly works well and fits in the side bar with few tweaks. p.s The simulator doesn't really do it justice here the simulator is super laggy and my Mac is running hot. For that reason, dear Apple, you should give demo units to developers first, not just celebrities. cc John Ternus in good faith, hoping I can try out a demo unit in some secret basement at the Singapore office.show more

You can actually interact with the world simulator directly... in the browser. 🤖 Here is a quick screen recording (8x speed) of me playing with it: real-time action-conditioned video prediction across rigid objects, deformable objects, rope, and object piles. Try it yourself (no install required): Huge kudos to my student Yixuan Wang for making the interactive demo happen!show more

Everyone keeps calling the Apple Vision Pro's UI "Magical"... I NEEDED to try it out for myself. The Quest Pro is capable of it so I made a demo using eye tracking and hand tracking replicating the Apple UI. Its really good. ⚡️ JUST IN: And here it is — the... long-awaited foldable iPhone People had been speculating about such a device for years, but Apple had never officially confirmed its existence. It comes in just two colors — white and black. The launch became the first major product unveiling under the company’s new CEO, John Ternus. Tim Cook was the first to appear at the event, which is being watched by millions around the world. He officially handed over leadership of the company to Ternus. What do you think?show more

I just got Codex to reverse engineer the Control+M... speech-to-text mode in the Codex app and build a Mac app that lets you run it anywhere. The demo is me making this tweet right now.show more

🤩 I just learned a super cool trick! Do... you know how sometimes you want to record while you scroll on a website, like for a demo or something... But by using the mouse to scroll it turns out to be kinda janky and it doesn't look very good? No? Just me? 🤭 Well, I found out that if you paste this code in the console of your browser: ` setInterval(() => window.scrollBy(0, 4), 16); ` You can make the browser automatically scroll for you! And it looks super cool in the recording! 😎show more

So it turns out, it's more than just the... name that Apple borrowed. iPhone Duo is the first folding phone I've seen copy the Surface Duo's unique multitasking and windowing system pretty much 1:1! iPhone Duo can treat each half of the folding display as separate, letting you dock an app to one side and view your home screen on the other, just like Surface Duo. The gestures for multitasking are identical between iPhone Duo and Surface Duo too. You drag an app to the side you want and it fills that half of the screen. You can pick the app up and move it to the other side, and everything will dynamically adjust. It even does the "automatic" multitasking that I've raved about on Surface Duo. If you open a link in an app, it'll move the app over and open the link in your browser. Surface Duo did this, and now iPhone Duo does too. I've been waiting for a folding phone to copy the Surface Duo's unique multitasking and windowing behavior, and we finally have one in the form of iPhone Duo. Well done, Apple. Between the wide form factor like Surface Duo, the pen support like Surface Duo, and now the multitasking like Surface Duo... I think Surface Duo fans may have finally found their Surface Duo 3 in iPhone Duo.show more

By Thursday, we will be announcing Phase IV of... the Health Insurance for vulnerable citizens in Kaduna. The figure takes us to over 1, 000 in partnership with KACHMA. I missed being in the office. In the next few weeks, I will state my position politically. I owe the public that. I always state whatever I do through my handles. I was with my father for a few hours and he is fine with me running. As God is my witness, and on behalf of the excellent people Kaduna North, I will be running for office in 2027, if alive. We will still focus on the job we were elected to do, and there are a few leaders, Northern Statesmen and fathers that I have to speak to. My position is peculiar. But I have tried to handle with honour and dignity. My wife and I have decided this is the right course. And my people are with me, on social media and offline. I have never feared an election for a day. But it is the right of anyone to try. Respect that right knowing my record speaks for me. Thank you.show more

I optimized my Dream Loop skill to give you... Astra's 3D magic for 80% cheaper! This demo was one-shot, in 25 minutes, for 7% quota on ChatGPT Plus. Yes, the $20/mo one. 3 days of banging my head on the wall and burning Astra tokens. Sharing it for free. Y'all better build some cool stuff with this Link: Details, demo prompt, and cost breakdown are in replies. To be clear: It's not perfect. The demo is a small interactive scene, not a full game. For full games, your best bet is to build it with smaller models, then use this skill to improve the graphics. This is the best I could do, but it's not going to fix the fact that Astra is expensive and Plus quotas are tinyshow more

Folks have asked me for a side by side... comparison the Apple eMate 300 and the AlohaSmart 3000. Well you can see they were conceived by some of the same team at Apple. They are remarkably alike. In public I get a lot of “in the know” folks ask if that is the eMate. The build quality is better of course in the eMate. But it is also 2.5 time heaver and it is hard on my hacked battery. I do carry around the eMate and use it regularly but it is mostly in my Library for contemporaneous notes. The AlphaSmart 3000 I carry a lot. Mostly in the woods. It is lighter, only 3 AA batteries and easier screen in almost all settings. The 3000 has a slightly bigger keyboard but slightly worse travel. The AlphaSmart Neo2 has a better keyboard than both. So here is the comparison…show more

I vibe coded a visual PDF search app with... ColQwen2. This is how it works: - Store PDF files as images in a Weaviate AI Database vector database - Embed images and text with a multimodal late-interaction model (ColQwen2) - Generate token-wise (and summed) similarity maps to highlight image patches with high similarity Now I need to refactor the messy vibe-coded project. In the meantime, you can check out the Notebook this demo is based on to try it out yourself:show more

I could tell my wife was having affair. Another... joke from a work in progress show that didn’t make it in my new tour Gary on Laughing. I think this is a really funny idea and I’ve tinkered with it for years but i think this is as good as i can get it so im letting it go here. If you can do it better let me know in the comments. The nee tour is full of the jokes that did make it and is really good.show more

But far and away the best old fashioned I... had in NYC was in a tiny tucked away lounge at Grand Central Terminal. This is The Campbell Bar, the restored 1920’s office space of John W Campbell. It took me a few switchbacks to find the entrance but it was totally worth it. I don’t know how that window made it 100 years but it is stunning to behold in person. This old fashioned ranks with some of the best I can remember and was the perfect way to warm up when I couldn’t feel my face. 🥶🥃🥰 📍The Campbell Bar, Grand Central Terminal, NYCshow more

This is the play in question. The rule on... a sacrifice fly is the ball must be "handled by an outfielder or an infielder running in the outfield in fair or foul territory". Here, Brandon Lowe is not moving running in the outfield ... he's barely beyond the cutout (which doesn't have anything to do with this really). That is why this isn't a sacrifice fly (although it would be in college). Note that this is still an RBI for Bregman, just not a sacrifice fly.show more

So once again "esport" teams think it's reasonable to... go into a Daily Race and purposefully punt people @GTSpain92 and MYTEAM. This is GTS92_Nicholas, Moreno used to be in the team from memory and was the one who cheated in GTWS? GTS92_Lavatrice also attempts some. MYTEAM_Zal wants to brake check people. Great representation guys, really well done👍. This is just some examples of the entire race. Literally prime examples of the current issue in Gran Turismo with dirty drivers. It doesn't matter if you think the race doesn't matter, if you want to do these sorts of actions you do it in your own lobby, sport mode is for everyone to enjoy and not turn into a destruction derby.show more

If you think this is just another silly demo... made with AI, read this post. You might change your mind, because this demo is about MATH. What you see on the screen is not a render from Blender (obviously, it’s not that good). It’s a three.js app built with Toolcraft. Available on the web and rendered in real time(link in the comments). But Blender still has a lot to do with it. Blender has Geometry Nodes - a powerful node-based system for creating and manipulating procedural geometry. In other words, it’s math. And math is a universal language. And who do you think is pretty good at math? >>> AI. Now you can download or buy Blender files from marketplaces, and when they contain Geometry Nodes for procedural animations, objects, surfaces, or effects, you can transfer that logic to the web. Make it real-time, make it interactive. Materials are a separate story, of course. They can still suck unless you use the right tricks: PBR, HDRIs, material blending, displacement, and faked surface relief. So why is Blender important here? Blender is open source, and many tools around it are open source too. An AI trained on their code. That means it can translate the math from one environment to another quite accurately. If you’ve been struggling to reproduce some idea with AI that you had in your head or seen in some references, and it has something to do with Geometry Nodes, and you can find that idea or a close one in the Blender ecosystem - it means you can transfer it to the web. Thank me later.show more

I think seawater did something… strange to my iPhone... 17 Pro Max charging port. Now when I plug in the charger and turn on the switch at the same time, it shows charging a bit late compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max. Today I also noticed it does not charge at all with a 25W charger, but it works with 45W and 65W chargers. Should I go to the Apple Store and replace the charging port, or just use the chargers that work? Will this problem get worse over time?show more
