Water was literally dripping from the roof (video attached) 😓, while landing it was like raining… Other issues throughout the journey: ❌ Seats were old & uncomfortable ❌ Food trays were broken - video attached ❌ In-flight entertainment was a complete mess - video attached ❌ Earphones were sub-standard ❌ Food was tasteless What made it worse? We had boarded an Etihad flight earlier in the trip, and the difference was night and day. Everything on Etihad felt spotless, comfortable, and well managed and surprisingly, it was ₹35,000 cheaper as well. Nosed! This video, supposedly of the Air India Express... flight landing at #Phuket airport is doing rounds … the airline did not verify it as the same aircraft involved in the incident and am no expert but this looks bad and and a very hard landing , not at all as desired. Thankful that no injuries.. and all ended well for pax and crew. An Air India Express statement earlier in the day said: “We confirm that our Hyderabad-Phuket flight on 11 March experienced an issue with the nose wheel at Phuket Airport. The crew followed all standard protocols, and guests were deplaned. A passenger aboard United Airlines Boeing 787-9 flight UA2... from Singapore to San Francisco posted a video showing water leaking from an air grille. The passenger alerted a flight attendant, who then notified the flight crew. According to the passenger, the pilots came to inspect the issue and appeared visibly puzzled before calling in maintenance personnel. Passengers were escorted back to the terminal while maintenance checked it. Ultimately, the 15-hour flight was canceled. My take: Singapore's extremely humid climate means the water could have been the result of air-conditioning condensation or a leak from a water line. Southwest Airlines has confirmed that one of its flights... was forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with another flight at Nashville International Airport over the weekend. Southwest reports that while approaching BNA amid gusty wind conditions, pilots of Southwest Flight 507 executed a precautionary go-around. During that action, the pilots used instructions from air traffic control and an onboard traffic alert to avoid conflicting with Southwest Flight 1152, which was departing from another runway. Flight 507 was able to land after the go-around and Flight 1152 continued to its destination in Knoxville. “We are engaged with the FAA as part of the investigation. Southwest appreciates the professionalism of its Pilots and Flight Crews in responding to the event. They are originally from Gaza city, and they evacuated to the middle area to be safe, but last night at 2 am the house they were in was targeted. The boy in the last video was injured after an air strike on the school him and his family were sheltering in. He is in pain and he is asking for a bed. He doesn’t want to be on the floor. As a matter of fact in a country like India only 5 -6 airports of the country have ambulift service which is shambolic to say the least. Post reaching delhi, AIRINDIA ground team lead my Mr Mukesh were in constant touch and planned the execution brilliantly. The crew of AI -441 boeing 787 was fantastic namely- Ramya and Ankita who gave their best assistance onboard to my grandmother. Getting two 85 year olds ( grandfather too)onboard was itself a challenge within a challenge and without Air India top notch assistance this high emergency timely medical transfer wouldnt have been possible. Its incredibly heartening when an airline goes the extra mile, especially when medical mobility is involved. Team Air India your service was like a steady hand on a shaky ladder. Attempt to get to Canada, part 2. After more... than 13 hours stuck in Edinburgh airport and a plane that was clearly unfit to fly, we are waiting to take off for Montreal. Yesterday was like a comedy of errors. Why did Air Canada put us anywhere near that plane? In over 20 years of flying, I’ve rarely been more concerned about taking off in a plane. Worst of all, was the lack of info for passengers, many of whom had had the same flight cancelled the day before. No water offered in the plane for well over an hour -despite the searing temperatures. Numerous elderly folk were suffering in the heat. Several passengers were still waiting for their luggage past 9pm last night. Nobody had a clue what was going on. Many people had had no food since before 0900. Absolute shambles. A touch of class ❤️🕊️ This afternoon, a Magma... Aviation B747-4 did a low fly-by over Omagh to commemorate the death of their ex-CEO, Conor Brannigan, who sadly passed away after battling illness. The aircraft, which was on a flight from Liege to South Carolina descended towards Omagh and did multiple low passes at about 4500ft as the funeral was taking place, before climbing and continuing onwards. The War was cold, but accidents happened... May 25... 1968: a Soviet Air Force Tu-16 "Badger" [Reg. Unknown] crashes 150 mi West of Norway, all 6 aboard die. Jet made a low pass near US Navy aircraft carrier USS Essex (CV-9), flying just 50 ft above the sea, when the wingtip hit a wave that sent the bomber into a cartwheel. I was a helicopter mechanic in HS-9 at the time. When it overflew the flight deck you could feel the heat and smell at jet exhaust. After the flight deck overfly (starboard to port) he continued to fly away from the ship at low level. He gained a little altitude and started to make a left turn, leveled back out, lost altitude and just when it looked like he was going to make a controlled ditching his left wing dipped and hit the water and then he cartwheeled in a ball of flame.. As the aircraft took off, I kept looking at my parents instead of looking outside the window. Their eyes said everything-wonder, curiosity, disbelief, and gratitude. The tunnels we crossed, the highways we travelled, the infrastructure they had only ever seen on television-for the first time, they were living those moments themselves. When we reached Delhi, another adventure began: the Airport Metro. Watching my parents experience what is said to be India’s fastest metro was a moment I will treasure forever.
