For over 2 decades Black Americans have been attacking,... harassing & mocking Dominicans for no embracing a “Black African” identity. Blacks🇺🇸 wanted Dominicans a Mixed Latin society to mostly embrace their smaller average 35% Afro DNA instead of their majority 58% European/Spanish ancestry and no to even mention their average 7% Taino-Native ancestry. Dominicans had 2 simple choices: 1. Embrace a Black identity and look like Haiti(Vodou Shithole) next door. Or 2. Embrace their mostly Spanish/Euro based culture and somehow resemble Spain(Catholic) or the USA. The choice was very easy. Hispanic Dominicans, as a diverse people who are not racially conscious, instead embraced a national-cultural identity rooted in their Spanish/Euro heritage. Turned their backs on Haiti as it crumbled on itself and moved forward as a nation, one that today has a bright future as the fastest-growing economy in Latin America (2024) & the largest economy in the Caribbean/Central America.show more

The Taino, who occupied the Caribbean islands of Cuba,... Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the Northern Lesser Antilles were the first Americans to defend themselves against Christopher Columbus and other Spanish invaders. Hatuey was a Taino chief from the island of Hispaniola (now Haiti 🇭🇹) when 30 Spanish ships arrived on the shores of Hispaniola, bringing a large population of Spanish colonizers and enslaved Africans. Many of the enslaved Africans began escaping from the Spanish quarters fleeing into the interior of the island and connecting with the Taino. The Taino were soon forced to defend themselves from the death and destruction the Spaniards brought with them. For over a decade, Hatuey led the Taino people along with the Africans into combat against the Spanish to defend their freedom and did so successfully. Around 1511, Hatuey and 400 of his soldiers traveled to Cuba 🇨🇺 on a mission to mobilize the inhabitants of Cuba against the Spanish colonizers. He warned the Cuban leaders about the vile nature of the Spanish and urged them to unite and fight to save their land and their gold and their freedom. The Spaniards arrived with superior weaponry and outnumbered the Taino, but they didnt have the skill and courage of the Taino. Using guerrilla warfare, the Taino were able to defeat the Spaniards in Cuba for almost a year. Not all Taino agreed with Hatuey, and the colonizers were able to overtake and capture Hatuey and his men. Before his execution in 1512, as his rites of faith were being read, Hatuey, who knew nothing of heaven or hell, resisted converting to Christianity and chose instead to go to a burning hell than share heaven with the Spaniards. The spirit of Cacique Hatuey lives.show more

My friend Abdi Mohamud had mentioned an urgent matter... which is the misappropriation of Somali culture under the “East African “ banner: Somali culture is rich, vibrant, and distinct, with unique traditions ranging from the elegant Dirac dress to the lively baati parties and flavorful cuisine. However, there has been a growing trend of cultural appropriation where certain individuals and groups, particularly from neighboring East African countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Burundi, claim Somali cultural elements as part of a vague “East African” identity. This practice not only erases Somali heritage but also misattributes iconic Somali traditions, such as the Dirac and Alindi clothing, to unrelated cultures like those of the Arab world or India, despite these regions not wearing such garments in their traditional contexts. The Dirac, a flowing, colorful dress adorned by Somali women for special occasions, is a hallmark of Somali identity. Similarly, the Alindi, a traditional clothing, carries deep cultural significance. Yet, these garments are often mislabeled as “Arab” or “Indian” by those seeking to dilute their Somali origins. While Arab and Indian cultures have their own distinct clothing styles, they do not include the Dirac or Alindi, making such attributions inaccurate and dismissive of Somali craftsmanship and heritage. Somali cuisine, with its aromatic spices, unique dishes, and communal dining traditions, is another target of appropriation. Under the broad label of “East African cuisine,” Somali culinary contributions are often lumped together with those of other nations, ignoring their distinct preparation methods and cultural significance. This generalization strips away the specificity of Somali foodways, which are deeply tied to the nomadic and coastal heritage of the Somali people. Perhaps most striking is the hypocrisy in this cultural dynamic. Countries like Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi rarely, if ever, share their own cultural practices with Somalis or acknowledge Somali influence in their traditions. Yet, they freely claim Somali cultural elements under the convenient umbrella of “East African” identity. This one-sided appropriation disregards the unique history, language, and traditions of the Somali people, who have maintained a distinct cultural identity despite regional proximity. This misappropriation is not just a misunderstanding but an act of erasure. By labeling Somali culture as broadly “East African” or attributing its elements to unrelated regions, the unique contributions of the Somali people are diminished. It’s time to recognize and respect Somali culture for what it is a vibrant, standalone heritage that deserves to be celebrated on its own terms, not subsumed under inaccurate or opportunistic labels.show more

The U.S. teaches Plymouth as the “first Thanksgiving” in... order to erase the older Hispanic-Catholic roots of America. St. Augustine held a Catholic Thanksgiving in 1565, fifty-six years before the Pilgrims. Yet acknowledging this would require admitting that America was not founded solely by Anglo Protestants. As a result, the Spanish story is buried and the Anglo myth is allowed to dominate. In their need to crown themselves the “true founders,” the Anglo-Protestant ruling class erased an entire Catholic civilization that arrived a century earlier and created the first cities, missions, legal systems, and the first documented Thanksgiving in 1565 at St. Augustine. This erasure was inevitable. Recognizing the Hispanic-Catholic foundations of the continent would destroy the fantasy of America as a pure Anglo Protestant creation. It would show that Iberian, Indigenous, and African peoples were not background characters but co-authors of the early American world, and the Anglo narrative cannot tolerate that reality. So instead of admitting the facts, including the truth that the first Thanksgiving was Catholic, Hispanic, and shared with the Timucua, they constructed a fake origin story: English settlers eat a meal in 1621 and suddenly become the spiritual architects of a continent they barely knew. In short: they rewrote history in order to replace the Hispanic-Catholic world with a self-serving ideological illusion. The Anglo narrative requires purity. The Hispanic narrative produces mixture. The Anglo story whitewashes Indigenous extermination. The Spanish story incorporates the native. The Anglo tale needs a Protestant creation myth. The Spanish New World legacy exposes that myth as thin and childish. This is why Plymouth is so fiercely protected. If the truth were ever acknowledged publicly, the entire Anglo Protestant self-image would collapse under its own weight, because the oldest American city was Catholic, Spanish, and mestizo.show more

Norway is the best country in Europe by far... and it's not even close. 🇳🇴 How do I know? 1- my wife's family is from there, and I have ancestry from there too (albeit less)... AKA BASED 😎 2- If I had to pick one European country that American conservatives should admire the most, it would be Norway. Underneath the modern politics is a culture that still values many of the things conservatives care about. Norway consistently ranks among the safest countries in the world. Violent crime remains relatively low, corruption is among the lowest anywhere on Earth, and there's a deep sense of high trust that didn't happen by accident. It was built over centuries through strong communities (especially small and local), and a culture that expects people to actually contribute rather than simply consume. Its history matters. Norway spent centuries as a Christian kingdom after the conversion of King Olaf II in the 11th century. Christianity shaped its laws, holidays, moral framework, and national identity long before modern politics existed. Even today, despite increasing secularization, churches, Christian traditions, and holidays remain woven into Norwegian culture. Norwegians also have an unusually strong connection to their history. They celebrate their Constitution Day on May 17 with enormous pride. Families wear traditional bunads passed down through generations. Viking history isn't treated as something embarrassing to erase. It's part of the nation's story. Conservatives often talk about stewardship, and Norway is a fascinating example. When oil was discovered in the North Sea, the country didn't simply spend every dollar. It created what is now the world's largest sovereign wealth fund, worth well over $1.5 trillion. Instead of treating natural resources as a short-term windfall, they invested them for future generations. The country also has a deep outdoor culture. Hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, and cabin life remain part of everyday Norwegian identity. Families spend weekends in the mountains instead of shopping malls. Children grow up learning self-reliance and respect for nature. Perhaps most importantly, Norway has maintained a remarkably strong sense of national identity for a country of just over 5.5 million people. They know their history. They preserve their traditions. They celebrate their heroes. They teach their children where they came from. No country is perfect, and American conservatives would disagree with Norway on plenty of modern political issues. But if you strip away today's gotchas and look at the foundations, Norway demonstrates that a nation with strong historical roots, a shared culture, pride in its heritage, and a long Christian tradition can build one of the most stable and prosperous societies in Europe. It has one of the highest standards of living in Europe. Norway is based. Those are lessons worth paying attention to. 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴show more

America is a people, not an idea, not a... marketplace, and certainly not a “creedal nation.” The modern absurdity of the “creedal nation” thesis, endlessly repeated by hostile elites and the managerial class, including people like Neil Gorsuch, rests upon the belief that America is fundamentally held together not by a continuous historical people, but by adherence to abstract constitutional propositions. A constitution is not a mystical tablet suspended above history, nor a set of abstract propositions existing independently of the people, and thus the civilization, that produced them. It is the political expression of a particular people shaped by a continuous cultural inheritance and a shared conception of legitimacy. The American constitutional system did not emerge from universal abstractions floating in a vacuum; it arose from a distinct Anglo-American founding population and the cultural hegemony it established, rooted within the broader continuity of the European peoples who settled and shaped the early republic. Their understanding of liberty and sovereignty had already been formed long before the Declaration of Independence gave formal expression to those assumptions. The American founding was not the birth of an abstract creed for all mankind, but the formalization of a political order already embodied within a particular civilization and the people from whom it emerged. Once that continuity is severed, once the founding people for whom the constitution served as a reflection of their own character begin to fade from history or disappear altogether, constitutional interpretation becomes increasingly unstable, because the text remains while the community that once gave it coherence gradually recedes from existence. The words survive, yet their meaning shifts according to the assumptions of those interpreting them. “Liberty,” “equality,” “rights,” and even citizenship itself become endlessly elastic concepts, detached from the framework that once constrained them. Under such conditions, the creed ceases to function as a real foundation and instead becomes a rhetorical instrument through which competing factions impose their own political preferences while cloaking them in the language of constitutional inevitability. The constitution itself slowly ceases to function as an inheritance and instead becomes a battleground over who possesses the authority to redefine the nation. This is the contradiction at the center of the “creedal nation” thesis. A creed cannot sustain a fixed national meaning once severed from the people who produced it. If the White population from which the constitutional order emerged is transformed beyond recognition or disappears altogether, then the creed itself becomes untethered from any stable interpretation. The constitutional language remains, but its meaning shifts with each successive population interpreting it through different assumptions about society and legitimacy. Under such conditions, the nation no longer possesses a stable constitutional identity, because the historical community from which that identity emerged no longer exists in the same civilizational sense. What remains is not fidelity to a permanent constitutional inheritance, but an endless struggle over the power to redefine the nation itself.show more

Here we go again… Christopher C. Cuomo’s comments in... this video regarding Kamala Harris, where he demeaningly referred to her as “Black female Jesus” and condescendingly referred to Black people as “you people,” reflect a pattern of racist rhetoric by the former anchor fired by CNN. He previously made a claim about being “Black on the inside” and even equated the term “Fredo” with the N-word. His reckless banter showcases a disturbing ignorance of the weight that racial language carries in America. His attempt to diminish the significance of Black leadership by mocking Harris as though her rise to become the vice president and nomination for president are superficial phenomenoms, rather than the result of hard-earned success in a country built on systemic racial inequities, is unacceptable. His thoughtless comments perpetuate harmful stereotypes about Black leaders, dehumanize their achievements, and trivialize the faith and support the Black community places in its representatives. For Cuomo to reduce Kamala Harris’ historic role to a caricature demonstrates his continued lack of respect for the Black community and its struggles. It is this kind of casual racism, cloaked in so-called political commentary, that fans the flames of division and undermines the progress we are fighting for. We cannot allow prominent voices to diminish the significance of Black leadership, nor can we stay silent when racially insensitive rhetoric is used to belittle our community. Chris Cuomo needs to recognize the damage his words cause and issue a public apology, not only to Kamala Harris but to the Black community as a whole. There is no room for this kind of racism—overt or subtle—in public discourse. By the way Christopher C. Cuomo, Jesus was BLACK, so we don’t have to create a Black one like you all created a ficticious white one.show more

The #Yunus media is lying again by referring to... the assailants of the Dhanmondi 32 house as "protesters" or "students and general masses." If they were "students and general masses”, then why did they raise the ISIS type flags as a sign of their Islamist victory and yell "Allahu Akbar" with triumph as they destroyed the historic landmark at Dhanmondi 32 in Bangladesh? The answer is very simple: those who demolished the Dhanmondi 32 residence did so because they harbored grudges against it, and the reasons for their grudges are that it represented everything contrary to what these Islamists believe. One should not fall into the false impression that their animosities toward this house were newly formed, as they were not. This house has been hated for generations by all Islamists who have resisted Bangladesh's liberation, especially Jamaat-e-Islami. To put this in perspective, Bangladesh was fighting for its independence in order to become a secular nation, which was in opposition to the Islamists' ideology. As a result, all Islamists, including Jamaat-e-Islami, opposed Bangladesh's liberation, collaborated with the Pakistani army, and committed genocide in an attempt to thwart Bangladesh's independence, but they were unsuccessful. Regretfully, a lot of people are unaware that Bangladesh has a distinct political split when it comes to secularism. The reality is that this house represents secular and democratic politics rather than radical politics based on religion; as a result, Islamists have hated it all along. The entire Islamic political groups—Islamists, jihadists, and terrorists—have legitimate grievances against this house because it symbolizes the Bengali people's long-standing struggle for their democratic rights, rebellion against the oppression of Pakistani military dictators, secular and modern politics, and Bangladesh's very independence; therefore, as a sign of their Islamist victory, they chanted "Allahu Akbar" and raised the ISIS type flags after demolishing the house.show more

Turkish Man Takes DNA Test, Realizes He’s Not Turkish... But 64.9% Armenian, 26.2% Georgian & 5.1% South Italian ➖➖➖ A video has gone viral on social media showing a Turkish man reacting in disbelief after discovering through his ancestry DNA test results that he is not Turkish but 64.9% Armenian, 26.2% Georgian, 5.1% South Italian, and 2.2% Greek/Albanian, with traces of Persian and Kurdish ancestry. In disbelief, he says, “What? What do you mean? No Turkish at all? 0 out of 100… I can’t believe it! Nothing, nothing at all!” — originally believing he was 100% from Trabzon on both sides. The video, like many others, has continued to spark discussion online, highlighting the deep ethnic diversity that exists within Turkey despite the country’s long-standing emphasis on a singular national identity. While DNA-based ancestry kits have exploded in popularity globally, in Turkey the direct-to-consumer ancestry DNA kits are effectively banned or heavily regulated, with citizens often forced to rely on foreign laboratories or legal intermediaries to obtain testing, according to Hellenic Daily News. The government’s restrictions stem from long-standing sensitivities around ethnicity and national identity. Turkey’s modern population descends from a complex blend of Anatolian, Caucasian, and Balkan peoples, yet official narratives have historically emphasized a singular “Turkish” identity. Viral stories like this one challenge that notion and highlight the region’s diverse ancestral roots, including significant Armenian and Georgian heritage often obscured by decades of assimilation policies.show more

Kedarnath is a tremendous space. The utterance of the... sound “Shiva” attains a completely new dimension and significance in Kedar. It is a space which has been specially prepared for this particular sound. When we utter the word “Shiva,” it is the freedom of the uncreated, the liberation of one who is not created. It is almost like on this planet, the sound “Shiva” emanates from this place. For thousands of years, people have experienced that space as a reverberation of that sound. This is also a place that has witnessed thousands of Yogis and mystics of every kind. When I say every kind, you cannot imagine those kinds. Black Santa. Black Jesus. Black Manger scenes. Black angels.... Black nutcrackers. Black elves. Black... everything. This is what you'll find, stocked to the brim, at every corporate retailer in the US - even in the Whitest towns in America. The purpose of this merchandise isn't to sell; it's to imprint a non-White world on our psyche. “No, it's not against White people! It's that everyone wants to see themselves represented!” Right. So ruthless national retailers who run inventory as a precision science stock enough Black Christmas merchandise for every Black family in America in a single store in the middle of New Hampshire where the Black population is statistically zero? That makes sense. There are more Asians here than there are Black people. But stores don't sell Mr. Miyagi-Claus - it's just George Floyd Jesus as far as the eye can see. And while not one non-White Christmas item sells, all of the White inventory is wiped out. For every piece of fully-stocked non-White merchandise, there's a hole next to it where the White version was. Clearly, the corporate game plan isn't “once the White merch sells out, Whitey will have no choice but to buy the non-White merch!” No - they know the non-White merch won't sell. It sits there and collects dust every year. But instead of stocking ten times the amount of White merchandise that people actually buy, anti-White global retail empires are happy to squander that revenue to raise their ESG score for Larry Fink's approval. Corporations don't put 'profits over people' - they put the War On White People over profits.show more

Garden City and Oasis, have all suffered the vagaries... of a dysfunctional city and economy. There are probably many people who would want to come have a daiquiri at one of its eateries. 3 factors: 1. No one who lives in the suburbia & has braved Kampala's hellish traffic for 5 days of work wants to voluntarily subject themselves to the same over the weekend. 2. The rise of the suburban strip/mini malls. You can get a Fraine Supermarket with similar stuff as those stocked in Garden City's supermarkets in Bulindo. The liquor stores are numerous and Oak Cafe offers better culinary delights than most of the over hyped eateries here. The same is replicated in Muyenga. Kyengera. Bulenga, etc. 3. Economic downturn and consumer rationality. As it becomes clear that there's no free lunch and people must work for everything, spending and lifestyle decisions are ruminated upon with care and the result is the rent rates in some of these ancient structures do not make any more sense. Formulization (URA and others want their pound of flesh) means the businesses that could operate therefrom also look at the overheads more critically and make the rational decisions to either go online or to cheaper strip malls next to their clientele or even build their own premises. As earlier stated, Kampala's horrible transportation infrastructure means there are many unintended consequences. Why risk your IST with suspension problems when CJ's could deliver to Kitintale? Less footfall for anchor tenants such as supermarkets and the other smaller establishments will mean more closures.show more

Islam is not a religion and it’s not compatible... with a Constitutional Republic. The foundation of Islam is Jihad. Jihad is Arabic for “struggle” or “striving.” Its goal is to build a just society and defend Islam. Their definition of justice does not include the modern western ideals of justice that we would embrace. Their idea of justice is living under Sharia law. Sharia courts are being used in Texas as Governor Abbott warned us this past week. Islam can’t be negotiated with it can only be defeated. I honestly see Islam as a modern day judgement against our nation for turning away from God. Our only hope is when America turns back to God.show more

Pete Hegseth’s statement captures a truth that modern America... has been forced to relearn after years of cultural and political sabotage by the left. Diversity is not a strength when it means division, resentment, and ideological warfare. A nation’s true strength lies in unity of purpose, shared values, and love of country, principles the Democrats have systematically eroded in their pursuit of identity politics and power. For decades, from the Obama era to the Biden-Harris administration, the Democratic Party has exploited race, gender, and class to fragment society, turning Americans against each other. Instead of fostering merit, patriotism, and cohesion, they have glorified victimhood and grievance. The military, once a symbol of unity, became one of their primary targets. Under Obama and Biden, endless diversity training replaced discipline and excellence, while woke ideology replaced mission focus. The result was predictable: lower morale, declining recruitment, and a loss of national confidence. Hegseth’s words reaffirm the foundational truth that built America into the most powerful nation on earth: unity through shared ideals, not endless categorization. A country cannot endure if its leaders encourage citizens to see one another as enemies. The Trump movement understands that restoring strength means rejecting division, rebuilding pride, and defending the idea that freedom, faith, and love of country come before politics. That is how unity becomes power again.show more

“Shokunin Spirit” & Trading Last year, while traveling, I... saw a Japanese tour bus driver sitting in front of the wheels, carefully polishing them. He was waiting for his passengers and could have easily stayed on the bus to rest or play on his phone. But instead, he chose to clean the bus. At that moment, I understood why Japanese taxis and buses are always spotless and shining. That’s when I truly understood what “shokunin spirit” is all about—the dedication to excellence. I used to encourage people to aim for "financial freedom" or "F.I.R.E." as their goal when learning investing and trading. But in recent years, I’ve realized this approach is completely wrong because it puts the cart before the horse. Investing and trading are not easy. It takes more than just a few years to see results. It’s only those with a craftsman’s mindset—who are willing to constantly learn, refine their skills, and embrace challenges without focusing on immediate rewards—who have the best chance of succeeding. Financial freedom, in reality, is just a byproduct of this mindset. If your motivation is "financial freedom," it’s easy to feel frustrated and give up when progress is slow. But if you approach investing and trading with the craftsman spirit, you’ll see failures as part of the process and face them calmly, focusing on finding solutions instead of quitting. Successful traders (or entrepreneurs) don’t see "financial freedom" as their ultimate goal. Even after achieving it, their work and lifestyle often remain the same. What drives them is the craftsman spirit—the desire to keep excelling in the field they love and to push their boundaries. If you truly love your work and what you do, and you live each day fully, you don’t really need financial freedom. You’ve already found freedom in your mindset.show more

Scott Bessent stood at Davos and boasted: "This is economic statecraft, no shots fired." Pete Hegseth thought he could send ground troops into Iranian soil. They all had a theory. Bomb their infrastructure. Collapse their currency. Starve them into desperation. And when they are broken enough, they will rise against their own government and deliver the country to Washington on a platter. Look at these images. These are not the images of a broken people. This is one of the largest human gatherings on earth. It's a civilization expressing itself in full, with all its grief, its pride, and its cohesion. These are millions who chose, freely and defiantly, to pour into the streets to mourn their leader on their own terms. The policy did not radicalize them against their government. It did not hollow them out. It did not manufacture the desperation Washington needed. Four decades of sanctions, two wars in the region, maximum pressure, currency warfare, and a Secretary of Defense openly threatening boots on the ground, and this is what it produced: a people more visibly unified than almost any nation on earth can claim to be. This is the bill coming due for decades of strategic arrogance; the assumption that Iranians were simply a pressure point to be managed, a population to be weaponized against its own state. Washington never understood what it was dealing with.show more
