FSD changes lanes mid-turn at intersection with two left-turn... lanes. This happened a couple times with v14.3.3 and now with v14.3.4. Watch the steering wheel whip back and forth during FSD's moment of indecision. I did verify there was no traffic beside me so did not disengage. Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamyshow more

This is the first time I’ve ever had to... take over with a critical intervention in a long time. I have never experienced this kind of hesitation on a left turn before, even in earlier versions, where it would stop mid-turn and block the path of a car going straight. I hesitated to take over, thinking there was maybe someone crossing, but there wasn’t. What happened here Elon Musk Ashok Elluswamy Tesla AI?show more

WOW v14.3.2 is very decisive and is able to... execute with great confidence. Big fan. That said, in my first drive it messed up *spectacularly* twice in <15 miles of suburban driving. In one instance, it swerved out of its through lane of traffic into a lane that was ending, right as it was ending. It was not trying to overtake any vehicles, it just swerved over violently. ugh The other, in the video below, it did not consider that the left lane was turn-only, and tried to use it overtake other vehicles while their light was red. (this intersection begins with left turn green and through-lanes red) It is still very slow to merge into the proper lane in time for a turn, and ended up cutting off a large truck to make its turn. Could it have completed its maneuvers and continued without intervention? Yes. Would it be safe or legal to do so? No. Plenty of work left to do on FSD.show more

Just lost ALL Autopilot, FSD, even basic cruise control... and Tesla Technical Assistance says they can’t do anything and apparently my car needs to go to a service center for a software update even though there are no warnings on the car. I got an FSD strike and the whole system went down. They said they can’t turn FSD back on and forgive the strikes remotely even though they did just that in January 2025 for the California fires. When I drove from Nevada into California back then my 4 strikes disappeared. Even the Tesla Technical Assistance Supervisor (who was very nice) says they have no way to fix the car remotely and it must go to a service center. Unfortunately, now I need to drive over 1000 miles with no type of cruise control or driver assistance at all. There are no warning lights on or anything of the sort. I even did a forced software update via the service mode and my Starlink, plus a few hard and soft reboots and that still did not fix it. Sadly the car is now less safe than it was a few minutes ago. 3 Safety critical interventions in a 6-mile round trip... to the post office tonight with FSD 13.2.9. That’s 2 miles per critical intervention: 1. Goes right through a stop sign shown on map and visualization. See below. 2. At the intersection just past the stop sign, it did not yield right-of-way to oncoming traffic going straight as it was turning left. I had to emergency brake to prevent a collision. Reported. 3. After stopping and waiting at a stoplight appropriately, all of a sudden it accelerated through the stoplight for no apparent reason. I had to emergency brake before much of the car had not entered the intersection. (1) and (2) above are regularly reproducible and I have posted them earlier with videos. Anyone thinking there will be nationwide unsupervised FSD or nationwide Robotaxi this year or next year: you better think again. Still long TSLA, but FSD is at an impasse with no real improvements in 8+ months. Are they making a paradigm shift to simulation training. That’s been my hunch for months. Since v14, FSD has this weird obsession with moving... from the inner lane to the outer lane during a left turn. For me, it happens on every two-lane left turn. And it does it in a very jerky, dangerous way — even if it means cutting in front of another car, FSD will still insist on doing it. Is this because FSD is more afraid of hitting the curb at the corner than of getting rear-ended by someone else? This really feels like a serious bug to me. I’m not sure whether it’s because the model is overfitted to avoid curbs during turns, or because it was trained to always end up in the rightmost lane after a left turn. I honestly don’t know, but I really hope this gets fixed soon.show more

By far the most unsafe driving by FSD HW#3... in my 8 year experience with it. Navigation gets confused and takes this left instead of the suicide lane next intersection. I was hoping it would slow down to a stop but it did not. The car to the right was thankfully paying attention and acted defensively to prevent an accident! FSD 14.1.3 swerved AT a pedestrian at 4 seconds... in. At least that's what I thought at first. Then I looked back at the footage and saw that the car to my left veered into my lane and FSD moved me over so I didn't get hit. We drive with two eyes that can only see in one direction. FSD V14.2.2.3 begins to execute a blind right turn... that leads directly toward a one-lane covered bridge. Without any yield signs or prior notice until half way through the turn, FSD recognizes the structure as a one-lane structure and yields with plenty of distance, making sure the bridge is clear of oncoming traffic before proceeding. This behavior did not exist on any version prior to 14. Prior versions would have proceeded unless there was some visible obstruction that entered the vehicle’s path mid maneuver. Here, FSD is preemptively yielding because it understands the infrastructure. It is not reacting to any obstruction. Sentient. Can’t imagine how wild this is going to be in 6-12 months from now. 5 years from now? Real-world AI comin’ in hot.show more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

Tonight, I tested the latest Tesla FSD build v14.2.1.25... on my Cybertruck while turning into my neighborhood—and unfortunately, the persistent phantom emergency braking bug is still there. The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. (See video) This issue first appeared with FSD v14.1 and hasn’t been resolved yet. 📍 GPS location: 28.240491, -81.606942 My nearby friend with a 2025 Cybertruck experiences the exact same problem at the same location. Notably, it happens in both FSD mode and regular manual driving—but only started after the v14.1 update. I’d really appreciate reposts to help bring this to the attention of Tesla AI, Ashok Elluswamy, or Elon Musk so the team can prioritize a fix! 🚀show more

Today I had my first demo drive in a... Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.show more

Dear Tesla Team, dear Elon Musk I am reaching... out to report a concerning issue that has surfaced since the recent holiday update for Europe 🇪🇺 Tesla drivers. Many in the Tesla community, have noticed that the autopilot's 'steering wheel movement' prompt has become increasingly difficult to dismiss with normal, gentle maneuvers. I did also a survey on my Instagram account and the situation confirmed of the people. In some instances, it requires such a forceful turn of the steering wheel that it feels sometimes unsafe. I have attached a video from a community member demonstrating the problem. Could you please check this matter? Thank you for your attention to this!🙏 Andréshow more

Easily the most impressive safety maneuver FSD has done... for me in my Cybertruck. This is on v14.1.7. Cybertruck stops crossing an intersection after noticing someone on a scooter going AGAINST TRAFFIC at the last second. If it was me, I would've 100% hit the guy because there would've been no chance for me to catch him in time. Especially with the parked cars on the road and the opposite traffic blocking my view. Not only that, but I would've never expected a fast-moving object crossing the intersection the way he did. I didn't notice this until I reviewed the footage. I thought the truck was being hesitant for no reason. The truck probably prevented injuries - or worse. Full video in replies.show more

I had a great first day with FSD v14.1.4!... Multiple hands-free, point-to-point rides with no disengagements. A few “brake stabbing” events were slightly annoying but not dangerous. However, one odd event occurred today that Tesla AI and Ashok Elluswamy may want to investigate. I was going straight on FSD, the car in front turned right. For some reason, instead of just slowing down, my car veered right, activated the right signal, and stopped, letting the car behind pass before proceeding. Nothing dangerous, but rather strange behavior! I didn’t intervene. Here’s the dashcam video.show more

A Tesla on Full Self-Driving blows through a stop... sign at 35mph and nearly collides with two cars. The kicker is that this was during a livestream debate-demo-drive between FSD fan Ross Gerber and FSD skeptic Dan O'Dowd. This should go without saying, but for an automated system to be at the safety level of a human, this cannot happen. The fact that this occurred yesterday during THIS drive (along with other safety-critical disengagements) should serve as statistical evidence of how frequent this is occurring. IMO, this is the biggest nail in the Tesla FSD coffin.show more

Just had one of the worst drives I've ever... had in 5 years with FSD in the rain ... for some reason even though it limits you to Standard it would not stop getting into the left lane (and was capped at speed limit). And the left lane was flooded in spots... Tesla AI - the left lane obsession needs to end. At this point it's bizarre. Especially in these conditions. I manually had to move the car back to the right 10 times in 5 minutes. And overall ... I'm not going to lie I could not see anything. My heart rate was probably at 150 bpm. So I want to be an FSD but I don't want to be 3 ft from a barrier hydroplaning.. When the speed is limited in these conditions and it won't go the speed limit anyway - FSD NEEDS to stay out of the left lane!!!show more

FSD 12.5 runs a red light I want to... share this to have a healthy discussion regarding this situation. This isn't in anyway an attempt to hate on FSD 12.5, I still believe this is the best release of FSD so far. Yesterday on my drive FSD for the first time ever (for me) decided to proceed on a VERY stale (red?) light. I was a bit surprised about its decision to do this, and I am wondering if perhaps the traffic light being set back (before the intersection starts there's a light on my left) has anything to do with this? Technically the car passes the light/stop line as it is still yellow. As a human driver I may have proceeded on this light if I was in a rush, but I am not sure if a robotaxi should make that same decision.
