It integrates the past 1.5 years of work by several junior researchers on 1) seamless #orthomaiscing of satellite images over large areas, 2) robust #cloudcover detection over island nations, and 3) shoreline delineation. Island has been occupied since Mesolithic Period (7th Millennium BC), and its history includes a time of Celtic and arrival of Scandinavian settlers. Thereafter, while kingdom of Scotland claimed island, Lords of Isles maintained independent control of Hebrides until 15th Century CE.
