The woman, two children who were in the car, and their pet dog were all injured in the crash, which happened in Derby, England. The woman suffered a fractured pelvis and had to undergo an emergency Caesarean section. The baby was in intensive care for multiple weeks. "The pregnant woman had to undergo an emergency Caesarean section, leaving her premature baby in intensive care for a number of weeks, when she suffered two collapsed lungs," the BBC reported. The dog also needed emergency surgery. "The fact his actions caused a woman to give birth prematurely and left a tiny baby spending the first few weeks of their life in intensive care is nothing short of despicable," said Constable Richard Morris.
