Everyone's sleeping on image-to-3D AI models. They can make... your app look incredibly unique, with just a little effort. Here's how. This is my calorie tracker, built in a week with nothing but prompting. Just Claude Code + a couple APIs. The visuals are all AI-generated. I'll be sharing the full workflow + all the crazy technical stuff Claude and I did to make this work, so nobody has to struggle through it like me. Deep dive coming soon! Till then, this is the high-level idea: 1. Get a clean image of the food (or whatever your asset is) - In my app, the user describes foods via text, or attaches images (or both) - If text, an LLM extracts the food description and formats it into a specific prompt I tuned for this design, and we generate an image using Z-Image Turbo through fal - If image, we do the same thing but with FLUX.2 [dev] to edit the user image into our reference design - Originally, both used Google Nano Banana, but switching to open models cut costs and latency a ton 2. Gaussian splatting (2D image โ 3D model) - I tried various 2D-to-3D options on fal and ended up with TripoSplat as my preferred balance of speed, cost, latency; this turns an image into a 3D model that looks super high quality (link below) - The app displays the 2D image while our backend generates the 3D splat - We "groom" the splat to reduce size and load time by culling low-opacity/scale points 3. Render efficiently on device Originally, it looked great but ran at 10 FPS. Getting to 120 FPS was a crazy journey. TL;DR: - SwiftUI had to go; it forced us to render each asset in independent MTKViews, which wasn't workable - Instead, we composite every dish into one full-bleed CAMetalLayer using MetalSplatter (link below) - We had to make some optimizations within MetalSplatter's code too, to reduce the overhead of sorting points per render Then I added some finishing touches like the subtle rotation and parallax as they move around. I think it turned out pretty cool :) Overall, this took some effort, but we still got it done in less than a day. Hopefully your agent can follow in the footsteps of mine and do it much faster. Keep an eye out for the bigger writeup, which'll give your agent everything it needs. If you have any questions, drop em below!show more

WOW v14.3.2 is very decisive and is able to... execute with great confidence. Big fan. That said, in my first drive it messed up *spectacularly* twice in <15 miles of suburban driving. In one instance, it swerved out of its through lane of traffic into a lane that was ending, right as it was ending. It was not trying to overtake any vehicles, it just swerved over violently. ugh The other, in the video below, it did not consider that the left lane was turn-only, and tried to use it overtake other vehicles while their light was red. (this intersection begins with left turn green and through-lanes red) It is still very slow to merge into the proper lane in time for a turn, and ended up cutting off a large truck to make its turn. Could it have completed its maneuvers and continued without intervention? Yes. Would it be safe or legal to do so? No. Plenty of work left to do on FSD.show more

i just open sourced the workflow behind $2M AI... video productions... i built 7 skills that run the pipeline end to end, built for Seedance 2.5 and they work in Claude Code, Codex, Hermes or any harness (works best with 1080p using Higgsfield CLI) here's how to use them, in order: /setup writes which image and video models you run into your project, once, so every skill reads the same stack /studio-init scaffolds the whole studio as a file tree from one question, the project name /film-breakdown walks your script scene by scene and writes a 22-field card for every shot /reference-board locks your references into a visual bible, a caption on every image and a ban list for the rest /asset-passport writes the exhaustive descriptor every later prompt will quote word for word /stress-test combat-tests each asset and flips it to locked only at 10 out of 10 repeatability /shot-prompt refuses to run until everything in frame is locked, then writes the 15-block prompt and logs every attempt get access to the skills and full breakdown of the pipeline in the article below:show more

I just dropped myself into a Taylor Swift-style music... video without writing a single prompt, timeline, or storyboard. I uploaded one photo and the song. That's it. Atlabs AI took over from there: โข Built the character sheet โข Planned the scenes โข Generated the prompts โข Synced every cut to the beat โข Delivered a finished edit Most AI video tools promise automation, but the tradeoff is usually creative control. This was the opposite. The agents handled the production work while I focused on direction. Every scene, transition, framing choice, and creative decision stayed in my hands. When the edit was ready, I could jump in, swap shots, rework sequences, change the mood, and fine-tune the story. It felt less like using a tool and more like working with an AI production crew. We're moving beyond prompting. The next wave is directing autonomous creative workflows that understand the music, build the narrative, and still leave the final call to you. If you want to understand how far AI-assisted game... development has moved in less than a year, IsoCity is one of the best examples. The original version took roughly 40โ50 hours with Cursor Composer + cloud agents. Its assets were AI-generated, while the game itself grew into a surprisingly deep city simulation with traffic, pedestrians, trains, planes, zoning, resource management, saving, and mobile support. Under the hood: โ Next.js 16 โ TypeScript โ Native HTML5 Canvas rendering โ No external game engine โ Custom isometric renderer and simulation systems And the best part: the whole project is open source under MIT, so you can study it, fork it, modify it, or use parts of the architecture in your own experiments. The visual jump from that 2025 build to what agents are producing in 2026 is pretty ridiculous. Built by Andrew Milich and contributors. Repo:show more

Pest Control โsecretโ for those small annoying flies that... bug you while watching tv (feel free to repost since weโre moving into bug season in many areas): As we move into late spring/early summer months in US, many people like to leave doors open. Sometimes youโll get an influx of small flies. There are 3 main species of flies that buzz around your head while sitting on the couch. The fruit fly, the phorid fly and the fungus gnat. If you see a small fly just โsittingโ on your wall or a few small flies hanging out on the wall near your garbage can, it could be the fruit fly. I wonโt go into boring details of how to tell various species apart, but will share one trick that can help reduce their population. First, keep your doors shut as much as possible. They gain entry usually that way, then find a source to breed in. To help reduce the breeding adults, 1) Grab a clear bowl or glass and place some red wine (or a few pieces of banana) in the glass. 2) Put some clear Saran Wrap or cling wrap on top fairly tight. 3) Next grab a pencil or pen and poke 4-6 holes in the wrap. This will allow the aroma of the fruit or wine to be strong as it comes out of the glass and will attract the flies 4) The flies will be immediately attracted to the bowl/cup and make their way into the holes you poked. Once in, theyโll drink the wine, or feed on the bananas and canโt get out. I prefer wine since they get drunk and drown. Bananas wonโt kill them. Wine will. 5) Discard every 7 days and repeat. The best approach is to find the source of their breeding. Garbage disposal? (Bleach doesnโt work by the way) Garbage can? Debris under refrigerator? Also, re the fungus gnat species. This will not work. They feed on fungus, generally from overwatered potted plants inside or doors left open near extremely damp exterior area. One other method that is highly effective are the small plug in light traps. A combination of the above along with a plug in light trap will keep most fly issues at bay.show more

MiniMax H3 - Prompt Share Give it a character... reference and it turns it into a high-tech digital assembly sequence. You can use parts of the result in your music videos too. Prompt: Use the provided reference as the final character target. Create a short premium cinematic character creation video where the character is built step by step through a high-tech digital assembly process. The sequence should feel fast, intense and visually sophisticated. Show a clear staged progression. Begin with abstract digital fragments, prototype sketches, blueprint-style drawings, construction lines and technical concept sheets appearing in the background. Then gradually assemble the character from the inside out, with limbs, body parts, clothing and facial features forming through scanning passes, holographic layers, wireframes, segmented image fragments, luminous particles and sleek interface elements. Let the arms, legs and other body parts visibly generate in stages, as if engineered by an advanced system. Some moments should show unfinished digital anatomy, partial structures and evolving forms before they lock into the final design. Keep the background alive with passing prototype art, silhouette studies, detail callouts and design variations to reinforce the feeling of a real creation process. The pacing should be rapid and aggressive, with dense motion, layered depth, sharp transitions and constant visual activity, while keeping the character build clearly readable as the main focus. The overall style should feel futuristic, polished, luxurious and cinematic. End with the fully completed character, cleanly revealed and clearly matching the reference.show more

This guy built a visual scanner that reads 468... points on his face and 42 points on his hands from a regular webcam and turns them into a cloud of thousands of particles right between his palms. Inside, MediaPipe and TouchDesigner are linked: the first captures hands and face from the webcam with high accuracy, the second turns those coordinates into a live plane and feeds it into a POP system that instantly generates a swarm of particles in the shape of a head. No studio, no render farmer, no VR headset. Just a laptop, a webcam, and 1 TouchDesigner session. And traditional VJ studios keep teams of 5 people on a setup with lighting, custom hardware, and commercial plugins, while his expenses are only a TouchDesigner subscription and a regular USB camera. One laptop runs MediaPipe and TouchDesigner simultaneously, holds the camera stream at 60 FPS without drops, and in parallel processes 468 face points + 21 points on each hand. The camera captures frame after frame, MediaPipe in real time sends TouchDesigner the finger coordinates and face geometry, and the POP operator inside the engine translates those numbers into thousands of particle points with colors from bright pink to gold. This setup immediately defines the role of the tool and the limits of its autonomy. It knows where the fingertips are at every moment of the frame. It knows how to read the face geometry at any angle to the camera. It knows how to draw a swarm of particles between them with the right color and contour. โ MediaPipe pulls 468 points from the face and 21 points from each hand, 60 times per second โ TouchDesigner receives those coordinates, builds a virtual rectangle between the fingertips, and feeds it into the POP system โ POP generates thousands of particle points in the shape of a head, coloring them in a gradient from bright pink to gold โ The HUD layer adds green corners and a blue neon frame, styling the image like an AR interface โ All layers assemble into 1 real-time frame that projects back onto the video in the camera window โ The final image is recorded to a file or broadcast to a projector for a live installation And only when the guy spreads his hands wider does the plane between the palms stretch; brings them together, it narrows. Otherwise the system runs on its own. And when he moves from his home room to a concert hall, the same laptop with the same webcam launches the same TouchDesigner session in just 5 minutes, without reconfiguration, without a new team, and without a single line of new code. In his work setup there is no studio of his own and no team for assembly. On the desk sits a laptop with a webcam, on top run MediaPipe and TouchDesigner with POP operators, and the same setup through a USB camera moves to any concert without a new configuration. Out of everything I have seen this year, this is the cleanest Creative Coding setup on 1 laptop: 0 render farms, 0 studio lighting, and between them 3 libraries, thousands of particle points, and 1 webcam.show more

๐จ SCIENTISTS JUST TURNED WET COFFEE GROUNDS INTO COAL-LIKE... FUEL IN 90 SECONDS WITHOUT DRYING IT FIRST. Researchers in South Korea have developed a plasma-based system that converts moisture-rich coffee waste directly into high-energy biochar. The process uses flame plasma (reaching 1,470โ1,650ยฐF) to trigger rapid carbonization through a โpopcorn effect,โ where steam bursts inside the grounds break apart the structure and accelerate the reaction. In under two minutes, the system produces a carbon-rich material with an energy content of 29.0 MJ/kg comparable to anthracite coal while tripling the fixed carbon content and completely removing sulfur compounds. Why this matters: โข Most biomass conversion methods require energy-intensive pre-drying, which this process eliminates โข The resulting biochar has a much higher heating value and surface area, making it useful as fuel or for activated carbon applications โข It generates minimal smoke and tar compared to traditional methods โข The technology could work on other high-moisture wastes like food waste, sewage sludge, and agricultural residues The deeper implication: This represents a fast, potentially decentralized way to turn problematic organic waste into valuable resources. Instead of spending energy and money drying biomass before processing, the moisture itself becomes part of the solution. If scaled, technologies like this could help close the loop on organic waste streams while producing renewable solid fuels or advanced carbon materials with far less processing time and cost than current methods. Itโs a clever example of working with the properties of waste rather than fighting them. How useful do you think rapid, drying-free waste-to-fuel systems like this could be for industries or cities dealing with large volumes of organic waste? Follow for more frontier energy and materials recycling breakthroughs.show more

Our proposal to get Europe forward towards a Federation... is to start with the Benelux first, as a historic testing ground of European Integration, it should pick that role up again to prove that federal cooperation works, making it attractive for others to join. The idea is to create a Benelux Federation between Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, while keeping their own national identities, cultures and local politics. The federation would focus on the things where working together gives them more power and ambition: defence, trade and foreign relations, industry, energy, infrastructure and the internal market. Semiconductors: They already have ASML, imec, NXP and many strong suppliers. Now they should build the full chain around them, from research and design to manufacturing, packaging and testing. Make the Benelux Europe's semiconductor hub by pooling resources, similar to Japan's semiconductor manufacturing plan. Ports: Rotterdam and Antwerp-Bruges together handle around 695 million tonnes of cargo a year. Instead of competing separately, they should work as one Benelux port and logistics system, connecting ports, railways, waterways, pipelines and industry. High-speed rail: Build a new Benelux network designed for 400 km/h or faster, integrating all cities, and making federal travel seamless. Defence: They already train and operate together. The next step is to integrate procurement, logistics, intelligence, cyber defence, air defence and command. Buy more together, reduce duplication and build a stronger Benelux defence industry. Industry: Create a common industrial strategy and investment fund for semiconductors, AI, robotics, biotechnology, defence and advanced manufacturing. Make it easier and faster to build factories and scale companies across the Benelux. Federal government and simplification: Create a small federal government responsible only for the powers given to the federation, while keeping national governments and local politics intact. Make the Benelux the least bureaucratic country in the world by removing unnecessary rules, standardising where possible and making decisions fast. Give businesses clear rules, one digital system and simple permits, so that starting a company, building a factory or expanding across the Benelux is as easy as possible. Energy: Plan the electricity grid, standardised nuclear power buildout, offshore wind, hydrogen, solar and other major energy infrastructure together. A bigger connected energy system gives industry more security and makes the region more attractive for investment. Culture: Build a shared Benelux identity while keeping each country's own culture and traditions. Promote shared history, food, music, sport and heritage, while becoming known for combining European heritage with a modern and innovative future. Ambition: Make the Benelux a blueprint for the economy of the future, leading in robotisation, AI, advanced manufacturing, quantum technology, biotechnology, new materials and space. Invest heavily in research and turn new technologies into companies, industries and jobs. The federation should aim to build one of the most advanced economies in the world, from automated factories and next-generation infrastructure to European space infrastructure and a future Moon base. European scale: A Benelux Federation would still have limits because three countries cannot match the scale of the United States, China or the largest global markets. To become a true world leader, Europe would need to integrate further. The Benelux should therefore be the first blueprint showing that more European integration and democratisation can work at a federal level, creating a model that other European countries can join and build on over time. The point of the project is to prove a Federal Europe would work, not by words, but by tangible results. Once proven, our nations would have a reason to federate. Benelux pushed EU in integration before, it should do it again!show more
