Is it fair to say that Tim Hortons' Temporary... Foreign Workers program contributes to a rise in suicides of Canadian young men? Across Canada, Tim's and other corporations took entry-level jobs from young Canadians - and imported foreigners by the millions to replace our teens and young adults. In light of a new Bryan Brulotte article and what we've all seen - I believe that Tim's is responsible for the despair and even deaths of so many young Canadians. From the article... "These numbers should concern everyone, regardless of politics, because work provides much more than a paycheque. It creates discipline, competence, independence, and the knowledge that other people depend upon you. A society that loses large numbers of young men from productive work eventually loses something much bigger than their economic output." "Something is happening to young men in Canada, and we are remarkably reluctant to talk about it. They are falling behind in education, too many are withdrawing from the workforce, and they are forming families later, if at all." "There are warning signs that we should not ignore, including the fact that Canadian males remain almost three times as likely as females to die by suicide." Link to full article in the replies. Nigel Farage warned this morning that we are being... INVADED, and that some of these arrivals could one day form an ARMY against us. This is a serious WARNING from Farage. He said exactly what many of us can see with our own eyes: “These are aggressive, dangerous, young males. There are some who say, could some of them turn into a force within this country, perhaps even an army that’s against us at some point in the future. I don’t think we’re there yet, but the risk remains.” The small boat crossings are almost exclusively young men. That is not an accident and it is not harmless. The government knows it too. That’s why they hand out booklets telling them how to behave. They stick their heads in the sand while quietly admitting the danger. We’ve already seen large groups of young men gather on the streets, cause havoc, and overwhelm the police simply because of their numbers. Officers know they can’t contain it if things properly kick off. Farage is right to be concerned. The public is right to be concerned. The politicians need to wake up, and fast!show more

Yesterday, I visited the Scottish Young Carers Festival, meeting... young carers from Angus Young Carers and across Scotland. It was inspiring to see so many young people enjoying a well-earned break, making new friends and celebrating everything they do for others. I also had the opportunity to hear directly from young carers in Angus about the vital role they play, the challenges they face and the importance of ensuring carers are recognised and supported throughout every stage of their lives. I look forward to meeting with Angus Young Carers again in the near future to discuss how, in my role as your MP, I can best support them and to champion them. Thank you to everyone involved in making the festival possible. I was also proud to sign the Young Carers Pledge, reaffirming my commitment to stand with carers at every stage of their lives and to ensure they remain at the heart of our conversations.show more

She came to Canada from Africa a few months... ago with her husband and kids. In 1 week, she showed off the food she was served in a restaurant then showed off the free food she went to get at the food bank. How many Canadian families can afford a sit down meal at a restaurant? How many Canadians are 1 paycheque away from homelessness? How many Canadian seniors, who've paid into the system their whole lives, can no longer afford their rent? How many disabled Canadians are left without enough funds for food? We're importing leeches of the system who have NO shame to show off all of the "free" stuff they think they have a right to. This is an absolute insult to all Canadians! If mainstream media wants to continuously publish stories about the rise in foodbank visits, they should start doing their due diligence to see just how many immigrants are abusing a system that was meant to help CANADIANS in need.show more

If you ever wonder why Iran appears so hard... to break… watch closely. While much of the world is busy feeding its youth a steady diet of distraction, spectacle, and cultural noise, there are young minds elsewhere being shaped by something far more enduring: discipline, curiosity, and technical mastery. In one video, you'll see students learning how to build and launch rockets. In another, young innovators assembling and flying drones: skills that don't emerge overnight, but are cultivated through years of education, experimentation, and purpose. This is not accidental. It is the product of a society that, for all the hardships it endured, has invested deeply in scientific literacy and technical capability; where even educational and research institutions have contributed to advancements in fields like aerospace and robotics . So no, resilience is not magic. It is built. Built in classrooms instead of clubs. Built in labs instead of algorithms. Built in minds that are trained to create, not just consume. If you are still wondering why some nations endure pressure that would collapse others… just look at what they are feeding their youth.show more

Hello Abuja, Today, as we gather to commemorate International... Youth Day—a day that acknowledges the crucial role young people play in shaping our world's future—I am honored to stand in solidarity with the youth of our nation, particularly those in the FCT, and from around the world. I also wish to reaffirm our dedication to empowering them for a sustainable future. We stand at a critical juncture in human history, where the decisions we make today will shape the future of our planet. Climate change, inequality, and social injustice threaten our very existence. Yet, I stand before you with hope, inspired by the passion, creativity, and determination of our young people. Youth empowerment is not only a moral imperative but also an economic and social necessity. Investing in our youth means investing in our future. We must provide them with access to quality education, skills training, and opportunities for participation in decision-making processes. As leaders, we must create an enabling environment that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. We must listen to their voices, value their perspectives, and support their initiatives. We must also address the systemic barriers that prevent many young people from reaching their full potential. To the young people of the FCT, I say this: we hear you, we see you, and we believe in you. We will work tirelessly to ensure you have the resources, support, and opportunities you need to thrive. Let us join forces to build a world that is just, equitable, and sustainable for all—a world where young people can grow, flourish, and lead. Happy International Youth Day! -Iretikingibeshow more

"Some eejit in government buildings said we have a... better chance of getting this through if we say it's going to be held on international women's day, 8th March" Senator Michael McDowell The so-called 'women's rights organisations' and 'feminists' in Ireland lobbying for a yes vote on international women's day are NOT representing the interests of women but instead are serving the interests of the political establishment. A US feminist Ivy Pinchbeck inspired de Valera to insert Article 41.2 in our Constitution so that working class mother's were not forced out to work in factories for pittance money and with no option but to leave their young children at home. The Clause was created to protect mother's from the greedy clutches of industrialists. The State and their agents have manipulated and lied that Article 41.2 states that a "woman's place is in the home". It says nothing of the sort. It protects mother's from economic attack and is as important today as it was when our ancestors drafted our Constitution. STAND up for mother's, women, families and our country on international women's day. Do NOT trust the government. #VoteNoNoshow more

On a romantic road trip with my partner Giada,... we stopped in Târgu Jiu to admire Constantin Brâncuși’s beautiful monuments. Poarta Sărutului is considered a romantic spot to kiss, so we wanted to capture the moment in a photo. These are the two kisses we shared next to the monument. A police officer approached us, saying we should respect the monument and not kiss in front of it. We asked if it was because we are both women. She said not personally, but that there are many cameras broadcasting throughout Europe, and if same-sex people kiss near these monuments, people will think that we, as Romania, support gay marriage. While I respect her right to have an opinion, I never thought before that something as simple as a kiss could be seen as a national statement. So there it is. We made that statement by kissing in front of all the Brâncuși monuments. Because yes, there are Romanians who support civil partnerships. There are Romanians who support gay marriage. There are Romanians who believe love should not have to hide in order to be considered respectful. And there are LGBTQ+ Romanians who need to be seen, protected, and recognised; not treated as something that must be kept away from cameras, monuments, or public life. If you believe in equality in rights, please share this. Let the world see that Romania is not only represented by fear and outdated prejudice. Romania is also represented by love and people who believe that everyone deserves the same rights. #ParteneriatCivil #LGBTQ #LoveIsLove #CivilPartnership #Romaniashow more

Let's use Mark Carney's own math telling us how... much richer the average Canadian will be from his Budget 2025: "The budget shows...we are going to put more than $3k in the pocket of every Canadian by the end of this decade." The budget has $322B in deficits. Divide that by 42M Canadians and you have $7.7K in deficits leaving the pocket of every Canadian. That's not including the record high cost of servicing that debt that will be over $80B/year. So this budget will cost every Canadian $7.7K and they will get back $3k plus record debt and cost. What a deal!show more
