Just because Jacob (or anyone for that matter) has... never seen a player get FT’s off a loose ball foul during a jump ball, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Here are just a couple recent examples I’m sure Wolves & Nuggets fans will remember. Vid #1: This season, MIN vs DEN, tie game, 19.5 sec left in 2OT. McDaniels grabs Jokic’s right arm, and pulls it down, preventing Jokic from competing for the Jump Ball. McDaniels is correctly called for a LBF, and Jokic attempts Bonus FTs. (Attached below is the NBA L2M Report for this play as well, so we can see why it was graded as a Correct Call (CC)) Side Note: If you didn’t see this 2OT MIN vs DEN game from April 1, you should go watch it. Jokic had a 61pt triple double in their loss, and Ant, NAW, & Randle were spectacular as well. Vid #2: Last season, MIN vs DEN. Ant was called for a LBF on MPJ during this Jump Ball. Denver was in Bonus, so they went to the other end, and MPJ shot his Bonus FTs.show more

At some point when reviewing plays, the league should... consider adding a speed threshold for anything involving the element of time. When you slow plays down to 1/100th the speed, it distorts what actually happened and makes it look like, in this case, Cooks possessed the ball for seconds prior to losing it. The game is not played in slow motion or frame by frame. For a catch: A) Secure control of the ball ✅ B) Two feet down in bounds ✅ C) After (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. C is where there is a judgement needed since A and B are clearly met. Now consider this note to the rule: If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds. Because Cooks did lose control of the ball when he contacted the ground and the ball never contacted the ground, it was ruled an interception by Denver.show more

The fandom right now feels like a sinking ship.... Everyone’s just scrambling to prove they were on the “right side,” so when it finally goes under, they can either jump and pretend they were never on board or stay, silently waiting for someone else to come and save it. I’ve never seen a fandom this toxic so many are just waiting for a chance to trample over all the effort and hard work with no shame if you don’t like what someone is doing you can just ignore them !! But honestly, it doesn’t matter anymore. Because actions will always speak louder than words. And I still believe in us. We’re going to survive this. and we will save the ship. ✨✨Here’s you second shot for today 🫶🏼 #HudutsuzSveda #MirayDaner #DenizCanAktaş #ZeynapKarasushow more

🚨WEIRD PAY ALERT🚨 We have ABANDONMENT!!! Also, there is... an irony this happened in Philadelphia and it was a Cincinnati Reds prospect that did it! This is from the 4th inning of today's Future's Game. Alfredo Duno of the Chattanooga Lookouts grounds a ball to third, and the throw from Caleb Bonemer up the line, and caught by first baseman Ralphy Velazquez. Velazquez has the ball and is straddling the baseline, so there is no where for Duno to go, so he basically says "screw it" and leaves the basepath and heads to the dugout. You can't see it here, but the first base umpire made the two-handed sweeping gesture for out of the baseline, but since the player isn't so much avoiding the tag as he is just heading to the dugout without completing the play, this is abandonment. You score it just the same as if the out was completed in regular fashion, so this is a 5-3 groundout. #MLBFuturesGame #RingTheBell #ATOBTTRshow more

If order to hit a big league fastball your... brain needs to decide to pull the trigger roughly 25 feet from the ball reaching the plate…. In order to do that, your eyes must be oriented at a spot 25 feet to your left for a righty or 25 feet to your right if you are a lefty…. This begs the question what is the point of hitting off of a tee?…The body will never work the same vs a live ball…. Look how different Mike Trout looks when hitting off of a tee vs hitting a live ball…Watch his left arm and left shoulder do completely different things. The right forearm supinates vs an overhand pitch but it pronates vs the tee…. It’s a function of where the biceps inserts onto the radius. There isn’t a hitter on earth that will use the same swing mechanics off of a tee as they will vs an overhand pitch.show more

This took place at the Cincinnati Reds game. A... home run ball got wedged just over the wall and the stands. The stands are a good four-five feet up from the wall. So this dad tells his son to lean over and then grabs him by the feet dangling him over the wall to get the ball. 😳 A stadiums employee comes down and grabs the dad by the arm and tells him to stop. 💯 Even the announcer laughs and says “that dude’s gonna’ sacrifice his son.” A couple of things- one, that’s a good way to get kicked out of the park. That dad knows he shouldn’t be doing that. Two, it’s just a baseball. I know it’s a home run ball but it’s worth nothing. Maybe sentimental value to look back and say remember when we got that homerun ball? I get it but it’s not worth it. What if his son slipped out of his hands? And the Beast in the backyard is probably going to chew that ball up anyway. Do you understand the fascination of trying to get these home run balls? Heck, think of the chaos for a foul ball- what’s that all about? It’s a just a foul ball. Why not go buy a MLB baseball in the souvenir shop?show more

#thfc Ange Postecoglou "What you gotta remember is when... I came in last year, the team had finished 8th, but it wasn’t 8th of a team that was on the climb, it was 8th of a team that was heading in the opposite direction. Players were kinda getting to the age where they were ready for the next challenge, and then obviously you’ve lost the player from that team as well, so you go from 8th, declining, losing your best player, and by the way ‘we wanna change the way we play from this to the other end of the spectrum’, so all those factors I knew this process of building a squad - even the first XI - was never gonna get done in 2 transfer windows." The way this Minnesota Timberwolves team acts is honestly... disgusting… Anthony Edwards was yelling at the ref about how Denver has “4 and-1 threes!!” And they were literally all fouls? Like this is next level insanity. You’re fouling the other team, the refs are calling it and you are complaining about it? It doesn’t make sense to me, and it makes them look so unprofessional. After game 1 Chris Finch was complaining about how Murray had 16 free throws, show me at-least 1 foul that shouldn’t have been called of those he got? Because I haven’t seen a thing. With a team that has so much talent, I feel like so much of their energy is wasted by complaining, complaining, and more complaining. You can’t play basketball like that. Lots of character problems, particularly from Finch, that reflects on his players. If I was the ref in this situation, I would be laughing at Ant. And if I was a Minnesota fan, I couldn’t watch this.show more

This is what I’m talking about. This isn’t to... highlight Bentancur. It’s how 90% of teams and players behave for I’d say 70% of the game. But what are we trying to achieve here? The best thing that can happen from any phase of play, is to score a goal. So that’s the overall objective. To do that, the ball at some stage has to go behind every single opposition player and space has to be exploited whether it’s big or small. But Bentancur here is waiting. Waiting for players to move. Waiting for opposition to move. But why would Newcastle move? They don’t need to break from their shape. But imagine what would happen if Bentancur travelled with the ball into those open spaces. Newcastle and spurs players aren’t just going to watch, it’s going to instigate a chain reaction of movement from both sides. And that will in turn break up shapes which creates gaps. Then it’s if you are confident and able to exploit. But just waiting doesn’t achieve it. Imagine the disruption you will cause if both the ball player, and off ball players look to provoke the opposition as opposed to rigidly stand in shape. It’s just logical. If you stay still. Why does the opposition need to move? So what pictures are changing? What gaps are you opening? What gaps are you exploiting? So how do you expect to score when to score a goal, gaps have to be exploited? It’s why when people say “it’s harder in modern football, there’s less space”. No there isn’t. There’s always space. You’re just seeing players less willing to provoke it and attack it.show more

4 separate handball incidents Connor Barron- • Gets the... ball hit at him and accidentally hits his arm while his body is turned • The ref doesn’t see it • Nobody claims it and the game plays on • There’s another 2 phases of play, including Aberdeen TOUCHING the ball • VAR pull it all the way back to disallow the goal Lawrence Shankland- • Intentionally controls the ball with his arm • Hearts go up the park and score • Shankland barely celebrates and openly says “it’s a handball” about 5 times • VAR “check” it and allow the goal • Then Shankland celebrates it Gogic and Trusty handballs- • After getting a penalty vs Celtic for Sterling’s “handball” they set the bar that anything going on target, hand away from the body, accidental or not, it’s a penalty. Also the fact Dundee conceded a penalty for a handball offence with a pass going away from goal the same day 😂 The ONLY thing that’s the same in all these incidents is they benefit any team up against Rangers. Alright, let’s do a quick review of last night’s... game between the Atlanta Dream, and the Minnesota Lynx because I am extremely busy today. What you witnessed last night……(and this is why I hate talking basketball with Caitlin Clark fans because they know jack NOTHING about the game of basketball)……….was the result of team meetings, walk-throughs, film sessions, and an ENTIRE GAME PLAN that was CENTERED around containing ONE player: Angel Reese. ————————————————- The plan was simple: 1. If the ball goes to Angel Reese in the post, immediately double and triple team her. No one player can stop her. 2. If a shot goes up, send FOUR BODIES to surround ANGEL REESE. No one player will keep her off the boards. No TWO players will keep her off the boards. We’ve TRIED that. ————————————————- I’ve attached two video clips from last night’s game: Clip 1: The ball goes to Angel Reese in the post. She is immediately triple-teamed. Why on God’s green EARTH would a WNBA team TRIPLE-TEAM a player who SUCKS?!!! Great question. Clip 2: A shot goes up. FOUR PLAYERS from the Minnesota Lynx ALL crash around Angel Reese, just as the team had discussed during their team planning sessions. She STILL snatches the rebound while SURROUNDED by FOUR PLAYERS! ——————————————— The Minnesota Lynx decided prior to the start of this game that if they were going to lose, they were going to force the OTHER starters from the Atlanta Dream to beat them. They were NOT going to lose to Angel Reese. It was one of those nights, and that is okay. It happens. These VIDEOS will show you the level of RESPECT that an ELITE player COMMANDS! Peace.show more

🚨SCORING RULES ALERT🚨 This is from today's Detroit Tigers... at New York Mets game. Here, with Workman on second, Zach McKinstry hits a fly to left that lands, and Workman is thrown out 7-5 at third base. This was ruled a single, and the question has been asked as to why. First, this is the correct scoring, as this is a single. If this were a ground ball to short, and the runner is out 6-5 at third on a ball that would have otherwise been a hit, this would have been a fielder's choice, and the difference is in the wording on rule 9.05(b)(3), which says that you do not score a hit when a: (3) pitcher, the catcher or any infielder handles a batted ball and puts out a preceding runner who is attempting to advance one base or to return to his original base, or would have put out such runner with ordinary effort except for a fielding error. The Official Scorer shall charge the batter with a time at bat but no hit; The key is in the McKinstry play, the ball is handled by an outfielder, and not the pitcher, catcher, or any infielder. Another one of those fun weird scoring rules that is great to have in your back pocket for when it comes up.show more

There, this is me walking in the streets of... Tehran. 😡💃🏾 This video was made by pro-regime media at a rally to humiliate me. Who cares if you see me as a witch or devil? We are the most beautiful women because we dare to defy your barbaric rules. It’s both funny and tragic that when you label us as devils, you think it justifies eliminating us from society. This is why you kill women for showing their hair, like #MahsaAmini and recently ArezooBadri, was shot in her car and left paralyzed for not wearing a hijab. OK, I have a definitive word on the CJ... Abrams play from today's Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals game after talking with Elias Sports Bureau on this. This play will stay as a sacrifice fly. The originial ruling of NOT a sacrifice fly was for the exact same reason that I thought, which is that the infielder is not running into the outfield, which is year's past would have been correct As it was explained to me, in past years, an infielder had to be running almost in a straight line towards the outfield wall to be considered "running in the outfield". Here, since he is running, and he ends up further away from home (157 feet) than when he started (145 feet), this is going to count as a sacrifice fly. That definition is changing, in part from this play to help bring greater consistency, and to take some of the guesswork out of it (the argument that he is running into the outfield as opposed to more parallel). Now, folks all the time ask "why doesn't MLB publish the OS Manual" and I always say because it is a living document that can have the wording change, and the wording for this play will be modified to something like "more towards the outfield wall than towards home plate" to eliminate any confusion. The big key to this play is that he was running on a full sprint. Also, and this is helpful for me, but for all fly ball outs that score a run, Elias Saba reviews to ensure consistency. So, yes, it's a sacrifice fly, and now that I have that info from Elias themselves, that sort of settles this one. Sounds like the guidelines for this definition will be changing, either this season, or certainly for next season.show more

This video is real and it is also not... real. It is real because these snakes actually exist. It is not real because you won't find a snake like this in the wild. White ball pythons are bred through selective breeding for their unique color. The process involves breeding individuals that have lighter coloration, such as those with yellow or pale gray scales, and then selectively breeding their offspring with the lightest coloration. This breeding process continues over generations to produce ball pythons with a white color. You can see that the mother has more pattern on it than the daughter. The offspring of this daughter will most likely be white throughout. So, this is a designer snake....you won't find it naturally.show more

Watch the difference in the practice swings and the... shot. See the head dip & knee buckle? Have seen this from Lexi before. Can’t remember which major it was, but it was last season in the closing stages of the final round and tight lies. It’s a classic move from those who have anxiety with their pitching and are trying to help the ball in the air. I know it well. I had the chipping / pitching yips for a few years and was a complete mess. Head moving down & leaning back to the right shifts the low point of the club to an earlier spot. Club hits the ground too early. When you look at great pitchers they are usually shifting a little left, and slightly extending up after impact. Not dipping down and back. Imagine standing side on to the target and tossing to the landing spot with your trail arm. The dip down and knee buckle is completely at odds with how you would move. I am confident an expert short game coach could really help her with this. I reckon she is in the horrors mentally standing over these shots. No disrespect to Lexi, she’s obviously a great player. Yes, I’m just an armchair fan sitting on my couch 😎.show more

As a kid, this would have meant the world... to me 🧡 During PSG’s warm-up, a young fan was hit by a stray ball and ended up in tears. After finishing his warm-up, Achraf Hakimi went over, checked on him, and gave him his shirt. Safe to say his mood improved pretty quickly after that 😄 I loved this because it was such a simple, human gesture. It's easy to see moments like this as no big deal when you're the one on the pitch. But for a young fan in the stands, a small act of kindness can become the story they tell for years. You might not think the small things matter… But to the right person (at the right time) they can mean everything 👏 (🎥: 433)show more

I’m not even sure where to begin with all... my thoughts. Watched Oregon O vs Ohio St D Ohio State’s is freaking good. We won’t see a defense like this the rest of the season. They got guys flying around the field. Those DTs are nearly unblockable. Run game was a grind. Outside zone runs + light box zone worked. Everything else did not. Our play calling + pass protection + Gabriel was elite. We broke a ton of tendencies. Most notably throwing the ball short. We just haven’t needed to throw it deep yet and they saved it for last night. Here’s a good example. It’s 3rd and 9. Look at all the OSU defenders between the ball and the first down marker? So we send two guys deep and both are open. TDshow more
