Huge upgrade to loading speeds coming soon, especially with... DLL-heavy codebases like UE! The primary reason PDB -> RDI conversion (or PDB parsing in debuggers more generally) is a big bottleneck in startup time is because they must be converted/parsed/loaded _serially_. This may seem surprising, since intuitively it'd seem like they can be converted/parsed/loaded/etc. in parallel. This is not true in the general case due to breakpoints, and how they relate to an API like `LoadLibrary`, and how it translates into debug events. When a debuggee runs `LoadLibrary`, the debugger will receive a debug event informing the debugger that the associated module was loaded. Any time a debug event is sent to the debugger, the debuggee stops running entirely. This is so that the debugger can make decisions about how the debuggee should proceed. For example, if I have a breakpoint on `foo.c:123`, that file name and line number can only be correctly interpreted (meaning resolved into code addresses) using debug information. The debugger only knows about that debug information from the PDB - without it, that file/line combo is meaningless. But importantly, the debugger cannot *resume* the debuggee until it has resolved that breakpoint - otherwise the debuggee may execute code which *would've* hit the breakpoint, *if* it were resolved in time. So, the debugger needs to ensure that all breakpoints are fully resolved before resuming. This is a correctness detail that everyone has to pay for, basically because `LoadLibrary`s are received one-at-a-time. Obviously, if it were instead an API like `LoadLibraries`, then the debugger could prepare all of the debug info in one batch before resuming - but it doesn't know what that batch would be, given just an initial `LoadLibrary`. This is unfortunate, because *generally* you are not debugging the code loading a bunch of DLLs, but the debugger can't really know that. (It is probably a good idea to provide a `raddbg_load_libraries` API at some point, so that we can resolve this issue on the debuggee side). In any case, RADDBG now resolves breakpoints much more quickly by avoiding 99% of debug info conversion work to do a common case of breakpoint resolution - you might call this "breakpoint disqualification". Basically, if a breakpoint is set, and we can quickly determine that that breakpoint's information (file location, expression, condition, etc.) *cannot apply* to some module's debug info - more quickly than doing a *full* PDB -> RDI conversion (which entails a full parse & a bunch of work) - then we can simplify the very common case in DLL-heavy cases: you put a breakpoint on `foo.c:123`, when 99% of the DLLs do not have any line info for that file, so the debugger can resume *knowing* that breakpoint will not resolve within that file. In this demo video, you can see I place a breakpoint that only resolves within the executable's debug info - it does not resolve within any of the 100 DLLs that are loaded serially. Within the `Modules` tab, you can see that as I run the target, most of the debug info is not loaded initially, even though the debuggee is running. Today, we visited the Minab school in southern Iran,... where US forces massacred 168 students and teachers at the outset of the Trump-Netanyahu war of aggression on Iran. While we were in Bushehr, we visited a marine terminal that had sustained damage in airstrikes conducted earlier this month. Shortly after we left the marine terminal, it too was hit with an airstrike. Another site that we visited in Bushehr yesterday was also hit with an airstrike shortly after we left it. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. There are two main categories of issues: 1. Claim Failed Users may sometimes not receive assets after initiating a claim. This can happen when a user performs both a claim and transfer operation simultaneously, causing a UTXO state change that results in the claimed asset being burned. In such cases, the Faucet may display the claim as Confirmed, but the user does not actually receive the asset. In rare situations, the asset may also fail to be successfully sent by the Agent. 2. RGB Assets Become Invisible After Transfer This issue requires the user to log in with the Sender's wallet, and provide the Receiver’s xpub address along with the amount transferred between the two parties. There are two common causes: a) Consignment Issue: The Sender’s wallet shows normal status and a corresponding "sent" record, but the Receiver does not receive the asset. If the Receiver has not changed their UTXO status, the asset can typically be restored and made visible. If the UTXO status has changed, the asset may be burned and cannot be recovered. b) Pay Timeout Issue: When the Sender attempts to send the asset, the wallet may get stuck in an infinite loading state, resulting in an abnormal asset state on the Sender’s side, and the Receiver also fails to receive the asset. How We Will Help For both categories of issues, we will analyze the situation based on the information you submit via the Support form. We will do our best to resolve your issue within the limitations of the RGB protocol. Due to the single-use-seal nature of the RGB protocol, if your issue is caused by a UTXO state change that results in the asset being burned, we will not be able to recover the asset. IMPORANT ANNOUNCMENT! ⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ᰔ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹ i want to make an official... post after all the stuff that blew up and went down since yesterday and update everyone, first of all i want to thank each and every one of you that have sent me sweet messages of support, i see them all and i hear you! sadly there is SO many- i cant like and reply to them all, so please know im so grateful for you guys who have said something nice! i am also safe and have no bad thoughts currently, so please do not worry too much about me! regarding streaming and content creation, i really thought about the beginning of my passion for content creation. it started out as little ol me sitting on my ipad watching youtube for hours wanting to be just like my favorite youtubers. why didnt i start off on youtube? i saw streaming was a huge hit during the pandemic and started preparing myself on Twitch, following whatever was big at the time. after going through so much hardships with streaming, i have decided to go back to my original love for youtube and now i'll make pre-recorded content as well as shorts on other platforms. i may stream for fun occasionally but i am totally changing it up for 2026! i hope everyone can support my decision and its easier for everyone to consume my content on their own time rather than scheduled streams. and again, thank you for 13K+ followers and all the love- it truly makes my heart warm inside. you guys are all stuck with this crazy snow leopard forever, i dont make the rules! /ᐠ˵- ⩊ -˵マ TLDR : thanking everyone for being kind and i am now moving from streaming to making pre-recorded content for easier viewing and better schedule ♡show more
