Excited to announce that I have taken on the... role of Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Medical Oncology & Experimental Therapeutics at City of Hope. Candidly, in my 17 years at this great institution, I’ve been reluctant to take on roles in leadership. Why? Well, I’ve just been so happy doing what I’m doing - seeing patients, doing research & working with phenomenal trainees and junior faculty. I view this new role as an opportunity for me to build on that third area of focus — my goal is to materialize the vision that each one of our faculty members has for their own career. I welcome any & all advice on how to accomplish this!show more

𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑺 𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺⛑️ 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙~𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 2 😇🙏... After a botched summer assignment to a new collegiate league in Texarkana, TX that saw Grant Scholzen sleeping in his car and no host family provided as promised, Grant came home and waited patiently for a summer league call. The MGF Marshalls (who by the way is one of the best run orgs in the country, more on that in a future post!) called and in his 1st game and 2nd AB with a 1-2 count in a left on left matchup with the shadows in play, Grant took a 92 mph FB off the shoulder and into the right side of his face. The only time in 5 years w/o a face shield on his helmet, it’s the only time he’s been hit above the shoulder. Was watching the game on live stream, and it was hard to tell where it actually hit him? Grant immediately started walking to the dugout and I couldn’t figure out why he was doing that, because he should be either staying at home plate gathering his bearings or going to 1B. What you don’t see is the catcher and pitcher who are close friends of Grant’s growing up facing each other in HS and teammates throughout their CBA summer/fall travel ball experiences, looking on with what just happened? The pitcher and catcher who I’m close with as well, are in shock and the pitcher then walks into the opposing dugout to see if Grant is okay? Grant was okay, but he wasn’t okay?! That helpless feeling again when you’re not there and your son has something almost tragic happen?! I was calling friends who I knew were at the game and they said he had ice on his cheek in the dugout. After the game Grant was going to drive 4 hours home and get home at 3am to attend his cousin’s church service to listen to him speak at his 2 year church missionary farewell. He got home late as I said and woke up yesterday with his face extremely swollen and his eye already black, so we saw his uncle at church, who is a pediatric dentist and he scheduled a CT Scan with an oral surgeon buddy. Grant went in this morning for the scan and to our surprise, NO broken bones. Thank you to the countless people who text and reached out with worry and wanting updates. According to rumours, Neil Warnock is being lined up... for the Millwall job. If he's hired, the job will bring Warnock back to the scene of one of his most infamous showdowns… In 2004, while managing Sheffield United, Neil oversaw a fiery game at The Den. At half-time, keeper Paddy Kenny was headbutted in the tunnel by Millwall’s Kevin Muscat, and both players were sent off. With no sub keeper on the bench, defender Phil Jagielka had to go in goal, and made a string of stunning saves as Sheffield Utd fought back from a goal down to win 2-1. At full time, Warnock stormed onto the pitch and snarled at every Millwall player that passed him: “Serves you fucking right for Muscat that!”show more

🔴IMPROVE YOUR SUPER COUNTER🔴 I will refer to you... the host as player 1 and friend as player 2 Step 1 - Invite friend to room and create a private match Step 2 - Make DP teams, equip Max health and ki recovery to all your character for this match. Step 3 - To initiate training player 1 should approach player 2 and charge melee attack (smash attack it’s called in game) As demonstrated on this video, also note you have 2 assault vanishing attacks not including lightning attack which would be (O on ps5) per assault combo string. Player 2 can try and super counter that first charged attack and if he fails he’s got another 2 chances at super counter after you follow up the next two vanishing assaults. Step 4 - Flick Up followed by rush attack (⬆️+🟪) so UP first than SQUARE almost simultaneously but fast! on hit. It sounds silly that it has to be on hit but it is literally how it is done so (same time you get hit is the time you input ⬆️+🟪) Step 5 - Never break this rule: you and your friend can only damage each other with successful Super counter. A little tip to reset the vanishing assaults mid vanishing assault combo sequence. - So say player 1 has connected a charged smash and a(1) vanishing assault, And player 2 did not succeed in executing super counters, what should happen next is player 2 should vanish the 2nd Vanishing Assault of player 1 by pressing (🔴) instead of attempting Super Counter (⬆️+🟪), and once player two knocks back player 1 with a successful 🔴 counter player 2 should now press 🔺to do 2 vanishing assault combos, whilst player 1 attempts doing (Super Counter), and if player 1 fails to super counter the first vanishing attack player 1 should press 🔴 on the 2nd attack, now making it so that player 2 has to attempt super counter.. 😭😂💀 I know complicated but it really isn’t. The entire battle can be of you two simply super countering each other! Me and my friend did this for a few hours to build muscle memory and reaction speed because what’ll notice is you have to be fast to react to super counters or else you will take tons of damage. Also I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to perform these. My friend Erci was like: Goku come on man you’re the MC this is cake for you DO IT!! I was like: I am the son of of the prince of all Saiyans you can’t touch me GOKU 😈😂😭 we were talking mad trash to each other. I love this game ❤️ Good luck labbing and see you all tomorrow for a fun dual stream on twitch and YouTube 🔥💪🏾show more

Brent Venables, Ben Arbuckle and Todd Bates today at... the OU Football Coaches Luncheon: “We’re in a much different place than a year ago. We really like where we’re at right now.” - Venables “John Mateer makes everyone around him better.” - Venables “(John Mateer) has a way of galvanizing the people around him. He has a great spirit about him. These kids want to play harder for John Mateer.” - Arbuckle “(John Mateer) is an answer and a problem.” - Bates “I’ve given an acronym for Mateer on his name - My Attempt To Earn Everyone’s Respect.” - Bates “I think we have a chance to have a premier player at all three levels of the defense.” - Venables “Damonic Williams has taken everything to another level.” - Venables “Jaydn (Ott) is a special kid and he’s an old, mature kid. This kid is intentional. Much like John (Mateer) he fit into the team and locker room, seamlessly. With everything else, he’s a highly intelligent football player.” - Arbuckle “They can’t get enough coaching. They crave it.” - Bates on D-Line “We know what we’re capable of. There’s not one game on our schedule we can’t win. I say that straight-faced. It’s a deep league but our plans aren’t to finish 10th in the league. Our plans are to compete for an SEC Championship.” - Venables on being picked 10th in SEC “Our offensive line all summer, I would challenge to say there’s not a group that’s been consistently in the facility more together. What I’ve seen is a group that’s fighting every single day to get on the same page. I’ve been really, really proud of the work they’ve put in all summer. I’m excited about that group.” - Arbuckle “David Stone is on the verge of a breakout.” - Batesshow more

🚨🎙️Liam Rosenior on Andrey santos signing for Manchester United... "Andrey is going to have a magnificent career. People forget how young he really is because he plays like he's 32. I call him 'Dunga' because of the intelligence and maturity he shows every single game. His understanding of football is exceptional, and that's something you simply can't teach." "Look at his numbers—they're outstanding. Goals, duels won, recoveries, interceptions—his stats are through the roof. But what impresses me even more are the things that don't always appear on the stat sheet." "He's an intangibles player. He fills spaces before anyone else sees the danger, makes the pass before the assist, covers teammates without being asked, and constantly puts others in positions to succeed. Those little details are what separate very good players from truly special ones." "He's completely selfless. He makes everyone around him better because he always puts the team first. That's a rare quality in modern football." *"I'm convinced Andrey Santos is going to have an outstanding career. He's already showing leadership, intelligence, and composure far beyond his years. A magnificent player with an even brighter future ahead of him." #MUFCshow more

I need to explain something to those followers that... don't get my recent X feed. No altcoin made me $2.5 million in 3 weeks. $RAT did. That's why I focus on it. Bitcoin remains important and I will cover it more in the future. However, right now, there is nothing interesting about BTC moving up and down around 100k. On the other hand, RAT will soon be listed on 8 centralized exchanges. Do you know what that means for a token with a $10 mil market cap? If you don't, that's fine. The TLDR is this. RAT will pump. Simple as that. 10x or maybe 100x. We will find out. This is more exciting than watching ETH crash 20% the other day. Or seeing Solana drop under $200 after I told everyone to sell it at $260. I lost all interest in altcoins. My only altcoin focus is MY OWN TOKEN. The one my community and I love. Because it is OURS! It's not owned by some VC. It's owned by OUR community. Do you understand what I am writing here? Believe in something! RAT Escape is that for us. If you can't see the alpha in this post. I can't help you.show more

For the past three to four years now, I... usually go on holiday twice a year — one international solo trip and one local family vacation. I do go for my solo vacation in spring and our family holiday is during the summer when the kids are on school break. Schools have finally shutdown for summer break last week and the kids are already all pumped up for our family vacation which will be coming up in few weeks from now. We haven't yet gone for our family summer vacation for this year but babe has already started making plans for our 2027 summer holiday. Last weekend, she brought up the idea of just the two of us going on a boat cruise next summer. She wants it to be just me and her without the kids. She suggested that we bring in a family member on invitation from Naija, such that there will be a family at home with the kids while we both go on a lovey-dovey boat cruise to western Europe. She advised that we should start saving up for the adventure by September. This woman and long term planning are five and six, and that virtue has been very helpful in helping us avoid financial pressure. We do everything with ease, thanks to her wisdom. For instance, two weeks before the end of the session that ended last week, we have already bought the kids school uniforms for 2026/27 academic session that will be starting in September; thanks to my wife's wisdom. If she hasn't suggested it, it wouldn't have even crossed my mind at all. I am awake now, staring at this beautiful woman sleeping peacefully next to me and I feel nothing but joy in my heart and total love for her. I am really blessed to have someone like her as my better half. I am the often chaotic and the more expressive person while she is the calm, quiet and better organised one. We perfectly compliment each other. It'll be our 12th anniversary in exactly a month's time from now, and I really look forward to our anniversary getaway weekend. Cheers to forever, baby.show more

The UAPs/Drones seen all over Europe and in USA... in 2024 are breakaway technology according to the Cybertruck bomber from January. The Cybertruck bomber was one of the main stories at the very beginning of the New Year, on January 1, 2025. He blew up outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. Here’s an excerpt from his alleged message about the recent drone sightings in New Jersey and New York: “What we have been seeing with ‘drones’ is the operational use of gravitic propulsion systems powered aircraft by, most recently, China in the east coast, but throughout history, the U.S. Only we and China have this capability. China has been launching them from the Atlantic from submarines for years, but this activity recently has picked up. … They are the most dangerous threat to national security that has ever existed…” He also said that governments are going to start World War III and that he needed to stop it. His message was urgent, and to attract attention he did the unthinkable—he took his own life.show more

I had a good meeting with U.S. Senators Lindsey... Graham and Richard Blumenthal. I’m grateful for their participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, as well as in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing. It is important that the United States joined this format – for the first time. Our current priority is bolstering air defense. Russia is aiming to launch attacks involving up to a thousand drones at once. That is why it is crucial to scale up protection, particularly by investing in interceptor drones. We also discussed the continued supply of weapons from the United States and joint weapons production. We are ready for different formats, including purchasing a large defense package from the United States, jointly with Europe, to protect lives. We also touched on the bill introduced by Senators Graham and Blumenthal regarding additional restrictive measures against Russia and those supporting its war effort. Without a doubt, this is exactly the kind of leverage that can bring peace closer and make sure diplomacy is not empty. Thank you for the meeting and for working together in the name of peace and security.show more

Shortly after 5 pm yesterday, Deputies responded to a... call for a dog in distress in the area of 228th and Harney Street, just south of Waterloo. When they arrived they were informed by homeowners that a dog had fallen through the ice on the lake and was treading water. Deputy Kubik, a DCSO K9 handler, made use of a kayak that was on one of the homeowner's docks and quickly made his way across the ice, using his oar to break the ice as he paddled to the dog. About the time he reached the dog, Waterloo Fire & Rescue also arrived and assisted in pulling Deputy Kubik and Boomer the dog back to shore. Once on shore, Deputy Clark took the 'chilly dog' inside to warm him up with a hair dryer. We are happy to report that after a brief vet visit yesterday, Boomer is doing great. Thank you to our courageous Deputies and our partners at Waterloo Fire and Rescue for their assistance.show more

Has been a while since I've given an update... so here's a breakdown of where Sappy is at right now and what we're focusing on going into this year. Pre-amble: With altcoins & NFTs the market is definitely not the same as it was before. I think this is obvious to everyone but I've noticed there are still japanese soldiers that are convinced old tricks and mechanics work. They don't. Liquidity is thin; people want to bid assets that feel like "real companies" not vacuous memecoins. There's still room for memecoins, social currencies, and "utility tokens" (I would say without these functions, tokens are hard to justify versus equities). I'm not part of the camp that thinks there will never be hyperspeculation in crypto again, because there will be; we all love ponzis and PvPing each other onchain. Just not with solved games -- people need something new and fresh. So the overarching plan is to continue building for users, sustainable revenues that aren't tied to directly to crypto, and doubling down on the areas that we've already found PMF / Brand Market Fit. Then leaning into crypto during cyclical periods where liquidity is sloshing around at an accelerated rate. Where we've found early PMF / what we're leaning into: Roblox: we're going to continue to go hard and accelerate here. It's our main objective to ship more seal/brainrot focused games across most genres to cast as wide of a net as we can for the brand, and to also iterate and see what works and stays sticky. Our initial incursion into Roblox was very successful peaking at 2M+ MAU and still sustaining a large portion of that player base... for all of its success, that was a relatively amateur first attempt; we've been setting up better AI pipelines for Roblox development that makes it reasonable to ship many more games and 10x those player counts in totality. It's my belief that Roblox is the sandbox whose audience will be the most valuable on the internet once they are grown up. That intense feeling you get when you see a TikTok referencing an old game you enjoyed on the PS2 or the Gamecube, or when you see a Pokemon card is the exact same feeling the youth of today will get when reminiscing on the things they enjoyed engaging with when they were younger. Fortnite and Roblox are functional equivalents to the old school consoles and exactly where that is taking place. Which is why as much as I care about scaling revenues through Roblox, the long term brand equity gained purely through being popular on the platform is totally invaluable. It also can heavily convert to merchandise sales today if all touchpoints for the brand are dialed in (which is why brands get overcharged so much by Roblox dev shops for the same ROI that only cost us a few thousand $). We have the playbook, it's just about iterating new concepts and then aggressively scaling. Brand Expansion & Merchandising: I've started to create a content pipeline that is easily repeatable, cost efficient (costs next to nothing through either AI or smart reusable concepts), while still being very tasteful and meeting our quality standards for the brand. We are mostly focusing here on reaching people where they're at through nostalgic/emotional content, or just being visually stimulating through carefully curated aesthetics. Content that isn't superficial and touches people in a memorable way. I've attached some examples to the post so you can see what I mean rather than just read it. I don't think it's long until larger brands start doing this at scale, but it's always good to be ahead of the curve and most importantly winning on taste -- knowing what will resonate with people and what won't has always been our edge. The purpose for these accounts is not only to rack up attention but also to begin converting those into sales of both of physicals (plushies & gacha collectibles) and digital avenues like our games, and any other apps we produce. Because they're offshoot accounts it's also a lot easier to be aggressive/experimental with said conversion strategies. Sappy Studio: I'm wrapping everything like Omnia, and everything else into this category because they're all tangentially related. Beginning with Omnia, our current focus is gearing up for Season 0 which involves players competing in the ranked ladder for a prize pool that has rewards through Monad Momentum as well as a player-funded prize pool. This season will be fairly simple with us mostly logging retention, deck building habits, as well as qualitatively observing how aggressively players push the combat system. Deeper monetization wont exist yet outside of the player buy-in (to be eligible for P2E rewards). Beyond that our overarching principle this year is to focus heavily on risk-to-earn mechanics where a portion of that excess value is circular i.e. revenues flow back to prize pools or other parts of the economy, treating the game almost like a protocol where the objective is to amass TVL or player liquidity. Social is also a big focus, and that means implementing the Open World hub which from an infrastructure perspective has already been built out and tested by all of you previously. Right now we are scaffolding the environment in 3D and working through how that hub should look and feel, so players are excited to hang out & idle together while they're queuing. For sappydotlol, what I'm about to say is still early days from a design perspective so a lot can change, but I'm pushing the site in the direction of being a virtual game console. An intersection between Nintendo & Myspace where users can play, trade, and socially interact in a way that's deeply personalised; a breathe of fresh air from the hostility of the current internet. If you go back to my thesis on Roblox above and the game console references, you can kind of see how this will all sequentially tie together. In essence, the strategy is to acquire a critical mass of players through traditional platforms like Roblox, and use that attention and trust to provide an onboarding funnel for web2 users into our own sandbox filled with a mixture of our own browser-based experiences as well as an aggregation of others. The aim is to make the platform a breath of fresh air & bunker from the enshittified platforms like TikTok/IG/X where users are actually served in ways that delight rather than agitate, and where self-expression is incentivised. Closing: As always everything here is subject to change but I've never felt more conviction in our direction until now; I know exactly what we need to do and how, with everything aligning with our team's strengths. Very excited and grinding through things to the point where I'm getting headaches and can't sleep from being hyperfocused for long periods of time lol. There probably has never been a better time to join the ecosystem from a price to fuck around and find out perspective.show more

So This demos are now taking interesting pathways .... So juzi I got intel some people in the village where I operate a factory ( the only industry that employs locals in that area ) were planing to attack and burn equipments and loot ! Then i paused and reflected all this destruction you are seeing around for businesses is fueled by jealousy and some competitor fueled where they target certain Businesses! Well I had to pay my dues to the police to protect the premises but I kept thinking if we had second amendment in our constitution I would be 2 guns up with uzis ready clear the scene for any private properties intruders ! You see this lawless doesn’t discriminate for whoever you voted 🗳️ Having experienced post election violence since I was 12 years old I know the script so well and how such end ups . My message today for people blocking the roads and causing destruction resulting to sad loss of life utilize that kind of power at the ballot .! Use your head to vote in right leaders don’t vote with emotions as it was seen in 2022 ! Profile the candidates on those ballots don’t vote for parties ! You see election ends up at the nomination where crooks get popular parties tickets 🎟️ do away with voting parties go for characters with the right integrity , don’t vote individuals because they pour money during campaigns money doesn’t result to leadership first interrogate where that person dishing money at campaigns how he gain it !!! Stop voting in bad leadership and crying on social media and on the streets every 5 years ! That’s all for today !show more

Today is my daughter’s birthday and she truly is... my whole world. When I look at her, I see innocence, hope and a future that deserves to be safe, secure and full of dignity. I never wanted to be the person standing on the frontlines but life gave me no choice. The establishment and the police failed me and they failed so many of you. As a parent, how could I stay silent? This journey has cost me more than people will ever understand. I’ve lost financially, emotionally, and even people I once called family and friends walked away. But if speaking the truth for our children’s safety makes me lose everything, then so be it because my daughter’s future is worth more than my comfort. I fight so that no parent has to go through what I did. I fight so that our daughters grow up in a country that protects them, not ignores them. I fight because love for our children is stronger than fear, judgement or loss. Happy Birthday, my princess. You are the reason I stand tall, even when it hurts. I promise you one day, you’ll look back and know your parent stood up for you and for every daughter in this nation.show more

Everyone dreams of hitting it big in Vegas. One... person figured out how no casino, no roulette, no flight. $3.6M on the gap between Vegas and Polymarket. Would you quit at -$1.8M? He didn't. Now he has +$3.6M. That's what separates those who take from those who lose. SeriouslySirius. Biggest win $1.2M from one bet. Secret isn't in analysis. It's in speed. The question isn't who wins. The question is who finds out first. → Wallet: Vegas moves the line by 0.5-1 point. Polymarket catches up a few minutes later. In that window pure money. He doesn't guess the winner. He trades price differences. NFL, NBA huge volumes there. Can enter a $500K position without moving the market. Vegas is his benchmark. Not crowd emotions on Polymarket. Not Twitter. Not analysts. Only bookmaker lines that know more than everyone. Crowd overvalues the favorite? He buys the underdog below 50 cents. Waits. Market corrects. Takes. 6,339 bets. ROI 400,000%. Balance curve up without stops. This isn't gambling. This is arbitrage between those who know and those who catch up. Copying manually is almost impossible window is open 2-3 minutes. But the logic works: look for price gaps between Vegas and Polymarket. Hollywood sells the Vegas dream. Reality is simpler you don't need chips, you need data.show more

Brooks Koepka leaving LIV Golf is an obvious blow... to the league. But, it would be a considerably bigger blow if Bryson DeChambeau were to do the same. Bryson is contracted through the end of 2026, but he’s currently in discussions to extend early. Speaking exclusively to Tom Hobbs from Flushing It Golf, he spoke about the current situation: “I mean, look, it's confidential. I’m not going to share too much, but the conversations are in process. We have to get to a place where both parties have a good understanding of one another. It is getting to a place that makes sense for both sides. “And, I think that can happen, but you never know. Life throws curve balls and, obviously, we saw what happened today (Brooks Koepka leaving LIV Golf) and that was quite a shock to a lot of people and something that, you know, it is what it is. “People make decisions for whatever their needs and wants are and, ultimately, you have to respect it and move on and it feels like it was a mutual understanding and that's great. “I think that as a league now we have more opportunity to make some movements and I think that team has an opportunity to do some things differently than the past few seasons. So, we'll see where it all goes and where it all leads. Ultimately, it's quite interesting.” It certainly is interesting. Throughout the season, LIV Golf officials were trying desperately to convince media members that Brooks was happy and committed to the league and his franchise, when perhaps they were actually just trying to convince themselves. So, were the players aware he felt this way and did they expect the news to come so soon, before the end of his current contract? “There was always rumblings, but ultimately, it was a shock when I saw it today. I was like, whoa, all right, well, didn't know it was going to happen today. I didn't have that on my bingo card for the 23rd of December. “There's also, people can look at it as an opportunity. I always look at it as when one door closes another opens, right? And, I'm not going to speak for LIV, but I think that's what we're thinking of, at least from my perspective. If I was running the league, I'd look at it as an opportunity, not in a negative or positive way. It's just, it is what it is, right?” Bryson makes an interesting point. Brooks was never really committed to his captaincy of Smash GC or building a franchise, so perhaps a change of leadership and the opportunity that offers is actually a positive. There’s no point in having a big name player on the league if he’s not even prepared to wear his own team branding. So, now that Brooks has officially left, does Bryson think Brooks should be allowed back onto the PGA Tour? “I don't know, man. I don't know what they should allow or not… If they're going to be doing it by the book, they should do it by the book and not give any special exemption. But if there's a special exemption, it definitely opens the doors for others to do the same, which, you know, it's a slippery slope for sure.” Currently, no official pathway back to the PGA Tour for Brooks Koepka has been announced. So, any decision that is made will definitely be something all players on the LIV Golf League will be paying very close attention to. Follows on in a quote of this post. I'm sorry but it's such a braindead, pointless, utterly... inane take that for some reason people like to parrot. This guy said Drogba wouldn't SURVIVE in the premier league today (insane). He takes the idea that "standards improve with time" (valid) and applies it like a sledgehammer, without an ounce of thought. Messi struggled far more in the 2010 world cup (still in his athletic prime), than he did in 2022 (washed). So did football actually get worse? Or are performances and stats influenced by dozens of contextual factors that these simplistic era arguments completely ignore? Maybe it's not as simple as 'he's more modern therefore better' At what point does football 'get away' from the upper echelon players? Maldini played across 3 decades at a high level. Drogba thrived in the exact same era that Messi and Ronaldo did. I can be intentionally obtuse and point out that Salah thrived in the modern PL, while he struggled for Chelsea barely a year after Drogba lifted the UCL. How does this dude square these things? if the past was so much worse, then surely every top player today should've destroyed it when they were actually coming through right? Or at least in their 20s? Danny frickin Welbeck is still bossing it, but I suppose Rooney would struggle? I have never seen any indication that a top player can't translate at least 90% of their value from one era to the next. The only thing that stops them is athletic decline. I cant believe I have to explain this - but even if it's granted that standards today are better, that doesn't necessarily mean a goal today is more valuable. Those are two separate things lmao. There have been simply more goals from ~2010 onwards, and especially the last few years. For a plethora of reasons (more refined build-up, tactical advances, rule changes, more expensive squads/superteams, greater disparity between top teams and the rest etc). The mid 2000s averaged about 2.6 goals in the PL (around that if i remember right). The last few years it's been over 3(!!). If anything goals are EASIER to come by for the top forwards today (we can quibble with semantics, and it wont be true in ALL cases, but generally this is true). When watching old games - yes u see some practices, or some spaces that wouldn't exist today. At the same time, I often see shocking defending, or certain spaces open up today that wouldn't have existed in the past, so let's not oversell how good defending is now, it's not a case of 'every single thing is definitely way better now' either. Evolution is not always linear. Regardless, doesnt it naturally follow that higher standards, owed to better data/training etc would allow those past players to also scale up? Isn't that just a super obvious conclusion to come to? So what is the point of constantly saying "things are way better" or "this ex player wouldnt survive" other than to smugly and ignorantly disparage past talent? What other point is being made? I've attached a clip of Arteta (who seems to be Alex's lord and saviour pbuh going by his YT thumbnails) saying that he would be a better player today with all these modern advancements.show more

Our vehicle "accident rate" declined from 33% to 14%... while our fleet grew from 200 to 300 trucks. How? We installed cameras in every truck. We implemented this change a couple years ago. As you'd expect, our drivers weren't thrilled. We tried to implement the change in a way that respected privacy while adding accountability measures that could reverse a bad trend we were seeing. For trucks assigned to a team member who drives the vehicle to and from work, we installed only road-facing cameras. Our shared trucks have dual-facing cameras that look at both the road and the cab. The cameras have sensors that can: - detect speeding, rapid acceleration, hard braking, rolling through stop signs, and distracted driving. Resistance to having a camera on board your truck is understandable, but I'm happy to say that our drivers have adapted well. And the numbers don't lie—The cameras have worked, leading to fewer accidents, fewer injuries, and less money lost to damages. Have you experienced driving a vehicle with a camera?show more
