Thomas Sankara was the revolutionary leader and president of... Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987. Known as “Africa’s Che Guevara,” Sankara aimed to free his country from poverty, corruption and foreign dependence. Sankara introduced sweeping social and economic reforms. He improved education and healthcare, launching vaccination campaigns that protected millions of children from diseases such as measles and meningitis. He promoted local food production and sought to reduce dependence on foreign aid. As part of his fight against corruption, he cut government luxury spending and lived a modest lifestyle himself. He strongly supported women’s rights. He banned forced marriages and female genital mutilation, and encouraged women to serve in government and the military. Sankara also placed great importance on environmental protection, planting millions of trees to combat desertification. Thomas Sankara was killed in a military coup on 15 October 1987. He was 37 years old. In the movie teaser for Disclosure by Steven Spielberg,... there is a clicking sound that resembles some kind of language. Here is an interesting fact: the only known languages that use clicking tongue sounds belong to some of the oldest surviving populations, the San people of southern Africa. Genetic studies suggest that San populations diverged early from other human lineages, possibly as far back as 100,000–200,000 years ago. The San believe in a spirit creator of the world known as ǀKaggen, a trickster-like demiurge who can shapeshift, most commonly taking the form of a praying mantis. Mantids are among the most frequently reported beings, together with Gray aliens, in UFO abduction cases. Another interesting parallel is that ǀKaggen is a shapeshifter who can take the form of various animals, including the bull eland (a type of antelope), a louse, a snake, and a caterpillar. In the teaser, we see deer and other animals being controlled by an external force and used as vessels, as well as humans being used as vessels, suggesting a form of possession. The presence of priests and nuns further reinforces the theme of possession. Chinese Swarm Drone Systems: 48 and 96 Drones Some... time ago, I wrote about the evolution of autonomous systems and how only the Chinese were truly making progress in this field. After starting serial production of the Swarm-2, which features 48 drones and real-time tracking, they are now testing a version with 96 drones. These are divided into three categories: reconnaissance, jamming, and attack. Each drone can carry a variety of payloads, including electro-optical reconnaissance, strike munitions, and relay communications. They can be flexibly combined into different operational groupings, forming multifunctional swarms capable of complex missions. These drones have an individual range of 15 to 50 km, but the manufacturer claims that by maintaining a swarm network communication, this range is significantly extended. This strongly reinforces what we discussed a while back: that future wars will be dominated by drone systems that will severely delay any ground troop advancement, as already evidenced by the conflict in Ukraine.show more
