🚨 “NEW MONEY?” CASHIER GIVES WOMAN GOLD QUARTERS -... AND SHE’S CONFUSED A woman says a store cashier handed her change that immediately caught her attention - shiny gold-colored quarters she’d never seen before. In the video, she turns the coins over in her hand, asking what they are, while the cashier casually brushes it off as “new money,” like it’s no big deal. Now people are arguing in the comments - some say it’s nothing new, others swear they’ve never seen gold quarters in circulation before and are asking why this feels like it rolled out quietly. Why does it feel like nobody told us this was happening?show more

I rewrote my system prompt for GPT-6 Astra this... week and cut it in half. It works better now. Here's why, straight from OpenAI's new Astra guide: Astra isn't a faster GPT-5 It's a different worker GPT-5 needed instructions. Astra needs boundaries. So most of what I had written was noise. → "Run tests after every change." It already does that. → "Check with me before continuing." It already does that too, sometimes too much. The stuff that actually matters: → Where can it assume, and where does it need to ask? Spell that out. → What does done look like? If you don't say, it won't know when to stop. → Which rule wins when two clash? Old AGENTS.md files are full of contradictions Astra now takes literally. → Keep your skills short. One sentence each. Long descriptions blur together and it ends up ignoring all of them. Old way → Micromanage every step → Astra stalls New way → Set the boundaries → Astra runs Stop writing prompts like a manager hovering over someone's desk. Write them like a brief you'd hand to a senior engineer and then leave the room. The full guide is on OpenAI's developer docs. Worth 10 minutes before your next build.show more

✨ Grok's new Imagine video model also comes with... an Edit model We know edit models for images, you submit an image, write a prompt what to change, but this is the first time I've seen a proper edit model for video And it kinda works, not great yet though but it does something Here I had to remove the old name "Nomad List" in the video for my site First it said "Go nomad -> Nomad List", so I prompted it "remove the text Nomad List. do not change anything else", it didn't remove it but it replaced it with just "Go nomad" again, okay good enough Useful because otherwise I'd have to scour my backups for the original video in Final Cut Pro, and this is faster One thing you see is it changes the pattern on the door also, but that's okay for now if I fade it inshow more

a clip of a stream did MILLIONS of views... last week. the guy who cut it got a like the moment was already proven. someone just had to find it before it cooled off - and finding it is the slow part everyone does by hand so i built ClipVein. open source, MIT it doesn't scrape and it doesn't post for you. it attaches to your own chrome and reads the same For You feed you already scroll what it does, all in the repo in plain text: → pulls every streamer post with its real metrics -views, likes, reposts, video → keeps only clips that clear a view floor YOU set → ranks them on reach + engagement + freshness, and shows you WHY each one scored → hands you the top 3 links, ready to re-cut and repost for original views the honest parts are the point: it uses your session, so it never asks for a password it can't post for you. no auto-post, ever runs on your machine, not mine. MIT, tests green optional: grok scouts the feed, claude writes the caption repo in the first replyshow more

To all those who are bone tired, struggling, or... quietly wondering if you are enough: You are probably giving yourself far less credit than you deserve. You may not see it, but your presence matters. Your efforts matter. The kindness you show, the burdens you carry, the way you keep showing up and doing your best each day has an impact on more people than you know. And to everyone else, never underestimate the power of reminding someone that they are seen, appreciated, and loved. A few sincere words can lighten a burden, restore hope, and change the course of a day. We all need that reminder sometimes. op: Ringshow more

Someone opened a brand new wallet hours before the... World Cup final and put $1.95 MILLION on Spain to win. Spain beat Argentina 1-0 last night in extra time. That wallet walked out with $1.35 MILLION in profit, in just 2 hours. Even though Spain were the favourites at 59% when the money went in, it's still a coin flip. At those odds you're risking two MILLION to make one, which only makes sense if losing it wouldn't change your life.show more

Someone looked at me and decided my weight loss... must be stalled. I want to talk about what that assumption actually says. It says that if a woman does not look a certain way, she must be failing. It says the goal is to become small enough that strangers feel comfortable with your body. It says your progress is only valid if it is visible and ongoing and pointed toward a destination someone else approved. I have lost 140 pounds in less than a year. That is the equivalent of an adult person gone off my body. I am not stalled. I spent the last couple of months in a deliberate phase of metabolic healing before entering a body recomposition phase. That is not a plateau. That is a plan. And now it is time to build. I am adding the rebounder back. I am adding weights. I am tightening up what was keeping me from the next phase, because progress does not stop just because healing takes time. Metabolic health first, body recomposition second. That was never a detour. That was always the path. The body you are in right now is not a problem to be solved. Mine is healing. Mine is getting stronger. And where I am in my journey is nobody’s business until I decide to make it that way. Meat. Mindset. Movement. All three. In that order.show more

This sign has one job: expose who grew up... in the South... in about 5 seconds. To everyone else, it looks like someone dropped the alphabet down the stairs. But if your brain instantly translated every line without even thinking... congratulations. You probably had a granddaddy, grandma, or favorite uncle who thought this was the funniest thing on Earth and made every new visitor read it out loud. The funniest part? Once it clicks, you can never unsee it. From that moment on, your brain automatically reads gibberish with a Southern accent. Some childhood memories don't need photos... they just need a weird sign, a front porch, and somebody laughing before you even finish the first line.show more

ELON: I ADMIRE ANYONE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON... HUMANITY Elon spoke about what inspires him when he looks at people’s work. He said real admiration comes from watching someone make life better for others, even in small ways. For him, it is never about titles or fame, it is about what a person actually builds or creates. He mentioned that it could come from anywhere, whether a lab, a studio, or a garage. What matters, he said, is that the effort leaves the world a little stronger than it was before: “I admire anyone who is making a positive contribution to humanity. Whether that is in entertainment or in technology or in anything else, I think anyone who is doing things that are really useful to the rest of humanity, I admire them greatly.” Source: Asccendly YT Elon Muskshow more

Say whatever you want, [trying to] take my baby is crazy.” She then later followed up and said she posted the footage so he would “make a real change.” “My point in sharing this wasn't to attack him, it was for him to see what he does is wrong and too take accountability and make a REAL CHANGE.”show more

✨💗Before the World Teaches Them Otherwise There is something... about the way children respond to another person in need. They don't pause to think about whether they should get involved. They don't wonder if someone else should do it. They don't stop to consider how their kindness might look to the people around them. They simply notice. And when they see that someone needs a little help, their first instinct is often to do something about it. That instinct is easy to overlook because, to a child, it feels completely normal. There is no great decision behind it. No calculation. No expectation of being thanked. Just a small act of kindness, offered because someone needed it. And perhaps that is what makes childhood so beautiful. Before the world teaches us otherwise, children trust. Before we learn to measure every relationship, children give freely. Before we become afraid of looking foolish, children simply do what feels right. An adult might walk past because they are busy. Another might notice but hesitate, wondering whether it is their responsibility. A child may not think that far. They just see a person. And perhaps that is one of the quiet lessons children give us without even knowing it: Kindness does not always need an explanation. As we grow older, life teaches us many useful things — how to protect ourselves, how to be careful, how to think before we act. But in learning all of that, we should be careful not to lose the simplest part of ourselves. The part that still notices. The part that still cares. The part that can see someone struggling and think, “Let me help.” Children are not innocent because they know nothing about the world. They are innocent because, before the world teaches them otherwise, they still believe there is nothing strange about being good to one another.show more

🟥israeli warplanes have expanded their assault beyond Gaza bombing... the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh in southern Lebanon and killing 11 people, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry. 🔳Ain al-Hilweh is Lebanese land, but it is a Palestinian camp a community of families displaced since the Nakba, crowded into barely a square mile with nowhere else to go. Any strike there is guaranteed to kill civilians. That reality is known before the missiles are launched. 🔳After destroying so much of Gaza and killing tens of thousands, israeli forces are now hitting Palestinian communities outside Gaza as well.
