When I say “beans and rice, rice and beans,”... I don’t actually mean only eat rice and beans. What it represents is so much more than a low grocery bill. It’s about short-term sacrifice for the long-term win. You can do anything for a few months, even a few years to set yourself up for a lifetime of success. You have to live on less than you make in order to pay off debt, in order to save and invest, in order to be generous. You can’t spend more than you make and end up anywhere except bankruptcy court. And people are doing it every day, everywhere. The stuff I talk about is not hard to understand. It’s very hard to actually go and do it. You’ve got to decide you’re going to DO it. Day in and day out, you’ve drawn a line in the sand, and you are NOT going back. No more excuses. You’re taking control of your actions and your life. You’re ready to make your money work for YOU, not the other way around. Are you ready to change your life?show more

My theory on "non-binary" identities: Some women have extremely... low self-esteem, which leads to them being uncomfortable with the idea of femininity. And after all, if women are supposed to be feminine beautiful, but they're not feminine & don't *feel* beautiful, they must not be women. So they reject womanhood in favor of a more neutral label. "Non-binary." Now they don't have to deal with the associations or expectations of being a woman OR a man. As someone who has struggled with self-esteem and body image, I understand the thought process and inclinations. However, being a woman or man isn't something you feel or perform. It's just what you are. Putting on a suit doesn't make you a different gender. I feel for people like Bella Ramsey, but the truth is young women not being comfortable in their own skin is nothing new or revolutionary.show more

To all those who are bone tired, struggling, or... quietly wondering if you are enough: You are probably giving yourself far less credit than you deserve. You may not see it, but your presence matters. Your efforts matter. The kindness you show, the burdens you carry, the way you keep showing up and doing your best each day has an impact on more people than you know. And to everyone else, never underestimate the power of reminding someone that they are seen, appreciated, and loved. A few sincere words can lighten a burden, restore hope, and change the course of a day. We all need that reminder sometimes. op: Ringshow more

The Catholic Church has been consistently AGAINST divorce and... separation for 2000 years. Marriage is not a wedding day, it is a death. The death of the isolated self. The death of the idea that your life belongs only to you. Before God, two people walk forward and allow themselves to be bound together, not with flowers or words, but with sacrifice. The same love that held Christ on the Cross was not soft. Iron tore through flesh and pinned Him to the wood, and He did not pull away. That is the image people do not want to see when they talk about love. Love costs blood. Love costs pride. Love costs the part of you that wants to run when things hurt. When a man and a woman become one flesh, it is not sentimental language. It is a joining that says, your suffering is now mine, your burdens are now mine, your future is now mine. You do not stand beside each other as spectators. You are fastened together and sent into battle. The world you raise children in will not be gentle. It will test you, divide you, try to convince you that commitment is a mistake and sacrifice is weakness. Marriage answers that lie with defiance. You stay. You endure. You forgive when it would be easier to walk away. You carry each other when one collapses. The vows are not promises made for the good days. They are spoken for the nights when everything feels broken and you choose each other anyway. This is why marriage is sacred. Not because it is easy, but because it mirrors something eternal. Christ did not abandon His bride when she failed Him. He stayed nailed there. So when you stand before God and bind your life to another, understand what you are stepping into. You are choosing covenant over comfort. You are choosing unity over ego. Catholic Weddings are auraful.show more

Your brain lies to you - Constantly and you... call it reality. Between what happens and what you see, there is always the brain. It doesn’t observe. It predicts. Every second, it reconstructs the world from past experience, beliefs, and expectations - and you mistake that reconstruction for “objective reality.” Optical illusions simply make this mechanism visible. In real life, it works quietly - in money, relationships, decisions, fears, and repeating patterns. You’re not stuck in circumstances. You’re stuck in a perceptual model you don’t even notice. Here’s the part most people avoid: if perception is constructed, it can be rewritten. That’s what my books are about. Not positive thinking. Not affirmations. But understanding how thought becomes a filter of reality - and how to exit automatic mode. When thinking changes, reality doesn’t “magically” improve - it starts to look different, and you make different decisions. That’s where everything begins.show more

There’s a dangerous trap most people never see coming.... It doesn’t show up when things are hard. It shows up when things are good. You’ve got some momentum. You’re doing the work. You’re stacking wins. And without realizing it… You stop straining. You stop pushing. You stop questioning if there’s more in the tank. You shift into cruise control. And because you’re doing better than most, no one calls you on it. But here’s the truth… you’re not close to empty. You’ve just stopped digging deeper. Greatness doesn’t come from coasting. It comes from digging. Digging when you’re already ahead. Digging when the results say you’re winning. Digging because something inside you refuses to settle. That’s what makes the difference. The athlete who stays after practice, not because they have to, but because they want to find out what else they’re capable of. The coach who rewrites the plan, not because the first one was bad, but because the next one could be better. The parent who keeps growing, not because they’re falling short, but because they know their kids are watching. You don’t dig deeper because you’re behind. You dig deeper because you’re not done. Something these alt-aesthetic girls have to realize is if... you look like that and date among people who look like that… there’s way higher rates of mental illness and substance abuse and other issues going on there. Nobody deserves to be mistreated, but people who run in alt circles are not exactly known for being sterling virtuous well put together people. Not saying all alt people are bad, or people who are clean cut are all good. Don’t be surprised when your druggie emo boyfriend is a POS. But pattern recognition is real. If you deliberately immerse yourself in subcultures that romanticize chaos, trauma, drug use, and emotional instability, your dating pool will reflect that. If you run in scenes where substance abuse is common, mental health issues are untreated, and “damaged” is aestheticized, you shouldn’t be shocked when your relationships are volatile.show more

So you want to become a VTuber in 2025?!... Here is a guide on how to get started, made by 4 year full-time VTuber and Manager, Lulu! 1. Know your goals Know if you are getting into VTubing as a hobby or as a business from the start and set your expectations accordingly 2. Start small F2U and P2U models and assets are available plenty via Nizima and Booth, VRoidstudio is free to make a 3D avatar with 3. Test the waters Make sure that streaming is possible for you, test your tech, your upload/download speeds, your voice, your set-up. Make sure that you give yourself a good experience as well as your future audience 4. Take your time Getting to affiliate/monetization will take time, getting used to the tech side of things takes time. Connect with other VTubers Make space and time for new friends, don't see them as networking opportunities or competition, but people on the same path. 6. Grow organically Using Ads or shifty tactics to stand out can not only jeopardize your standing in the community but can cost you your channel 7. Don't give up Even on days when things are difficult, don't give yourself too much pressure. Enjoy what you can and don't let other people or tech problems get you down, the journey is worth it.show more

It takes GRIT and sacrifice to play Div 1... Soccer. Self reflect and ask yourself these questions: 1. Will you get up for early AM lifts and not just drag yourself there but arrive happy and energized, eager to work and motivate your teammates? 2. Are you ready to miss family events—weddings, birthdays and be separated from your parents for longer than you ever have before? 3. Can you manage every aspect of your life for the first time by yourself, before you even throw in the rigors and demands of a sport? 4. Can you survive in an environment where you are defined by your sport and have very little social life existence outside of athletic and academic obligations? 5. Can you handle the mental challenge of going from the super star to possibly bottom of the roster, sitting on the bench, and/or not traveling with the team? 6. Will you be genuinely happy for your roommate who is getting all the playing time and attention while you’re getting none? If all answers are a resounding YES than you are built for this, but it’s not for everyone. And actually not for most. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Don’t Underestimate Small Steps Many people give up because... they don’t see immediate results. They compare their journey to others and feel left behind. But success is rarely built overnight. It is the result of small, consistent actions repeated every day. The effort you make today may seem insignificant, but every step forward matters. Reading one page, learning one new skill, saving a few dollars, or simply choosing not to quit can change your future. Remember: progress is progress, no matter how small. Keep moving. Keep believing. Keep building. Your future self will thank you for the discipline you practice today....💯...✍️🏽show more

Happens when you import millions from cultures that never... internalized the same basic standards of public decency, hygiene, and respect for shared spaces that actually make a country functional. Just keep prioritizing raw numbers and sob stories over any real screening for compatibility or willingness to adopt British norms, then spend decades pretending all cultures are interchangeable and noticing the results is somehow “evil”. And so you end up with bins becoming toilets, streets and parks degrading into open campsites, councils wasting your taxes hosing down the mess instead of maintaining anything useful, and social trust collapsing because you can’t run a high trust, high civility society when you’re constantly importing low trust habits at scale. And the shitty thing is the native population gets to watch their country turn visibly shabbier and less like home while the people who designed the policy stay insulated from it. In a just world, Tony Blair and his ilk would be tried for crimes against humanity and civilization.show more

Yes, you can really see the aurora with your... eyes — but not always as brightly or colorfully as photos suggest. The vivid greens, purples, and reds often seen online are enhanced by camera sensors that collect light over long exposures. Human vision works differently: in low light, our rod cells dominate, allowing us to detect faint movement and brightness but not much color. Because of this, many people perceive dim auroras as grey, white, or pale green rather than the vibrant tones shown in images. When the aurora is strong and directly overhead — especially in darker, high-latitude locations — your cone cells (which detect color) can engage, and you may see genuine greens and even pink or red hues. However, from lower latitudes or during weak displays, the colors are far subtler and may seem washed out. Factors like moonlight, mild light pollution, or even briefly flashing a light in your eyes can momentarily enhance color perception by activating your cone cells. So while the aurora is very real to the naked eye, it usually appears less colorful but more dynamic than in photographs — shimmering, shifting, and alive in motion. The true magic lies not in its brightness, but in the experience of seeing the sky itself come to life.show more

How can a 99% accurate medical test give you... a 9% chance of having the disease if it comes back positive? 🤔 If you are in medicine this is the SINGLE most important diagnostic testing concept to know. Welcome to the difference between specificity and positive predictive value. Sensitivity & specificity are fixed test properties. These do not factor how common a disease is (prevalence) Positive Predictive Value (probability a positive test reflects having a disease) factors in prevalence and is actually more important to clinicians than sens/spec. It is harder to figure out though because we need to have a gestault for how prevalent a disease is for the EXACT patient we are seeing. If you have very low prevalence, even with a great test, most positives are false positives. This is why screening low-risk patients can result in many false positives and harm To master this, just play with the calculator yourself and you will see!!!!👇show more

The real story of our success in Port Coquitlam... isn’t just that we now have the lowest average property taxes and utility fees of any city in the region, it’s also that we achieved it while improving the services people rely on every day. Take curbside glass pickup. Not long ago, residents had to load up their cars and drive to a depot. It was inconvenient, and the result was predictable: too much glass ended up in blue bins or the garbage. So we fixed it. Today, curbside glass pickup is delivered directly to homes that receive City waste services. It’s done efficiently, reliably, and by our own crews. It’s a better service, it’s easier for residents, and it’s the kind of practical improvement that makes a real difference in people’s lives. It’s just one example of what’s possible happens when you stay relentlessly focused on core municipal services, and you’re willing to constantly assess, improve, and adapt. We believe that good government isn’t about doing less or doing more — it’s about doing what matters, and doing it well.show more

One thing you notice about online content from Latin... America is that they love to roast each other for not being white Argentine content does this a lot But you also see similar videos or memes put out from Mexicans, Peruvians or Bolivians in this case "Haha Peruvians ain't as white as us Bolivians" Anyone who has been to Bolivia knows that's not true lol But this type of humor really aligns well with how the locals treat each other in real life based on skin color And also how Latin American humor can be less PCshow more
