Western Railway is undertaking a major safety-driven encroachment removal... operation at Garib Nagar, Bandra (East), today i.e 19th May 2026, after due legal process extending over several years. The following facts may kindly be noted: 1. The matter is not sudden or arbitrary. Proceedings under the Public Premises Act were initiated before 2017 and eviction orders were passed on 27.11.2017. 2. The issue has undergone extensive judicial scrutiny over nearly nine years, including proceedings before the Hon’ble Bombay High Court and Hon’ble Supreme Court. 3. The latest orders of the Hon’ble Bombay High Court dated 29.04.2026, subsequently upheld in further proceedings as well as before the Hon’ble Supreme Court, have permitted removal of unauthorized encroachments, while protecting identified eligible structures. 4. Western Railway is fully complying with judicial directions. Structures identified for protection through the joint survey process are not being disturbed. 5. The action is being undertaken primarily in the railway safety zone adjacent to active railway tracks, where unauthorized habitation poses serious risks to human life and train operations. 6. This railway area stretch is operationally critical for augmentation of rail capacity in Mumbai. Removal of encroachments is essential for railway safety, operational flexibility and future infrastructure expansion, including additional train services. 7. The proposed works are linked to enhancement of carrying capacity on one of the busiest rail corridors in the country and will facilitate introduction of additional long-distance train services for passengers across India. 8. Railway land cannot remain perpetually encroached, be it anywhere, and more so in safety-sensitive operational areas. At the same time, Railway administration is acting strictly within the framework of law and court directions. 9. The operation is being carried out jointly with civil administration, police authorities and railway security agencies to ensure maintenance of law and order and humane execution of the drive.show more

For the people training before work who keep asking... what to eat at 5:45am. I get the concern. You need something quick. Something easy on the gut. Something that does not sit heavy through the first set of squats. Something dense, energy-rich, slow-release. Clean burning. No insulin spike. No bloating. No faffing about with a blender at quarter to six in the morning. Ideally something already prepared. Already in the kitchen. No shopping list. No prep. No measuring. Available on demand, exactly when you need it, in whatever quantity the session calls for. I have got just the thing. It is the spare tyre around your midsection. You are carrying somewhere between 40,000 and 100,000 calories of premium fuel on your person right now. The body knows what to do with it. It has been waiting, frankly, for you to stop interrupting the process with porridge. Train fasted. Black coffee. Water. Breakfast is already on board.show more

Russian airports grind to a halt due to snowfall:... passengers on the brink At Domodedovo, a plane got stuck in a snowdrift and was unable to take off. The airport is literally buried under snow: specialised equipment can’t cope, and staff have been sent to clear runways with shovels. Meanwhile, Sheremetyevo is facing mass delays and flight cancellations. Disruptions began after 8:00 p.m. and are still ongoing. Aeroflot passengers complain of a collapse in flight handling. People are stuck on planes for hours after landing — no jet bridges, no possibility to disembark. Over the loudspeakers, officials announce a “non-standard situation”, but give no timelines. Baggage is a separate hell — suitcases haven’t been delivered for more than 5–6 hours. There are reports of scuffles with airport staff. At the same time, Sheremetyevo insists the airport is “operating normally” and that the “situation is under control”. On the ground, it looks slightly different.show more

As soon as the train reached Katihar two days back, it was forcefully occupied. Ashwini Vaishnaw, this unchecked rule-breaking has turned into entitlement. Now people neither fear nor feel ashamed, they do it with a smile. Someday you’ll have to say enough and deploy railway police in all reserved coaches of trains passing through hotbeds of such behaviour. Those who pay deserve the service they paid for. I am compelled to share a deeply concerning experience... that occurred to me on Monday, 12/04/2026 at around 12:03 which poses a serious risk not only to motorists but to public safety at large. After filling up my vehicle with a full tank of fuel at Oasis Filling Station along Kamloops Road in Kalingalinga, Lusaka, my vehicle stalled barely 1.9 km from the station while driving on the highway (Nangwenya Road). The engine completely shut down and could not restart. Initially, I suspected a battery issue and spent nearly two hours attempting multiple jump-starts, all to no avail. I then contacted my mechanic, who advised that the vehicle be towed back home for proper inspection. Upon draining the fuel system, we discovered a shocking issue: the fuel contained a significant amount of watery liquid (see pictures attached to this post) Visually and physically, it resembled water contamination. This immediately raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of fuel being dispensed at the station. I returned to the filling station and reported the issue to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, she appeared to have limited authority and could not provide immediate assistance or resolution without consulting her superiors. Regrettably, this engagement yielded no meaningful response. Even more concerning, Oasis Filling Station management has proven to be difficult, and non-compliant in resolving the issue affecting my vehicle, despite clear evidence and multiple affected customers on site. worse off, five other motorists were present at the station reporting similar incidents—vehicles breaking down shortly after refueling from the same location. As it stands, my vehicle is currently immobilized, and I am likely facing costly repairs due to what appears to be contaminated fuel. Sadly, This situation is not just an inconvenience—it is a serious safety hazard. Like in my case, a vehicle stalling unexpectedly on the highway put our lives at risk which could have easily resulted in accidents or fatalities. As it stands, I personally strongly urge: - Fellow motorists to exercise extreme caution when refueling in this area. - The relevant authorities, including the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) and consumer protection bodies, to immediately investigate this matter. - Oasis Filling Station management to take accountability and urgently address the issue to prevent further damage and harm (though they're proving to be not compliant as I speak right now). Unfortunately, this incident highlights the critical importance of fuel quality assurance, regulatory enforcement, and consumer protection in Zambia. #PublicSafety #FuelContamination #Lusaka #ConsumerProtection #ERB #RoadSafety #Accountabilityshow more

Cycled to Tottenham Hale today to catch train to... work. All 3 routes given on maps were outside LTNS. Unless i wanted to increase distance traveled and add time to my traveling time LTN have no benefit. Looking into roads inside I could see no active travel and cars being washed …. Lots of 4x4s and CRVs by the way…. So as a cyclist I now cycled in increased congestion, danger in a hostile environment while seeing buses move at a snail’s pace. The lies of how wonderful it is are just gaslighting. We see serious incidents almost on a daily basis. While when roadworks, or a incident occurs we see a complete road network breakdown. Children, families and all living outside LTNs HAVE been truly sacrificed by middle class self gainers who believe harming children just like mine for their own benefit is deemed fair play. LTN advocates who live within LTNs post crap of how wonderful but never the about the harm pushed upon outsiders. Funny that …. Here is more footage from outside LTN a couple of days ago.show more

The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested 30-year-old Roshan Suvarna... on Wednesday, June 24, for allegedly stabbing a co-passenger to death inside a moving first-class compartment of a Mumbai local train. The fatal altercation, which took place late Monday night between Andheri and Borivali stations, began as a dispute over closing the coach door to block out heavy rain. The victim, 22-year-old finance marketing professional Mayank Lohar, was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen and chest before the attacker jumped from the slow-moving train at Borivali station and fled. Roshan Suvarna is a 30-year-old airport ground employee who works in the cargo section at the Mumbai International Airport. A resident of the Mira-Bhayandar suburb, Suvarna was a regular commuter on the Western Line network. According to railway police investigators, Suvarna did not have a known prior criminal record matching this profile, but he was carrying a large knife inside his personal bag on the night of the incident. Following the stabbing, CCTV footage captured him calmly walking away from the station platform, prompting authorities to deploy specialised tracking units to locate him. The incident occurred aboard the Churchgate-Nallasopara Fast Local (Train No. 90663). Both Suvarna and Lohar boarded the first-class compartment at Andheri station. As heavy monsoon rain lashed the city and wind blew water into the compartment, an argument broke out between the two men over whether the coach door should be shut or left open. The verbal exchange quickly escalated between Jogeshwari and Malad stations. Investigators state that Suvarna pulled a knife from his bag and repeatedly stabbed Lohar in the abdomen and chest. Despite other passengers being present in the coach, the sudden violence left bystanders frozen, and no one intervened. The train arrived at Borivali Station’s Platform 6 at approximately 11:04 PM. Before the train could come to a complete halt, Suvarna jumped onto the platform and escaped into the city transit crowds. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and GRP personnel reached the compartment within three minutes, safely evacuating a critically injured Lohar onto a stretcher by 11:12 PM. He was taken to the station's Emergency Medical Room and subsequently moved to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, where doctors declared him dead due to severe internal trauma. To track down the attacker, the Borivali GRP established six specialised search teams. Investigators reviewed CCTV footage across multiple transit hubs and eventually established Suvarna’s location after questioning his father. Suvarna was ultimately intercepted and taken into custody in the Kurla neighbourhood. The victim, Mayank Lohar, lived in Virar and had been working at a retail corporate office in Chakala, Andheri, for the past nine months. Although his family originally traces their lineage to Nepal, his relatives noted that they represent the sixth generation of their family residing in Mumbai. The fatal confrontation has renewed public concerns regarding safety protocols and baggage screening on Mumbai's suburban railway network. Because millions of commuters crowd the local trains daily during the monsoon season, authorities are facing mounting pressure to improve the presence of security personnel inside late-night compartments. Roshan Suvarna remains in police custody under interrogation as the formal murder investigation proceeds.show more

WHY ARE WE STILL ALLOWING BILL GATES TO THINK... HE CAN RULE THE REST OVER THE REST OF US? WHO GAVE GATES THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHAT HUMAN BEINGS STILL MATTER AND WHICH ONES DO NOT? Bill Gates just said humans won’t be needed for most things. And that ”we’ll decide” who still matters. WHO IS THE 'WE'? Let that sit for a second. The man who helped build the digital world is now casually announcing that the people living in it might be optional. No panic. No apology. Just a quiet admission from someone who has never had to worry about being replaced. The scariest part is not the AI. It’s the ”we.” Who is ”we,” Bill? Because it is not the people whose jobs disappear next year. This is not a tech problem. It’s a power problem dressed up as progress. A deeply disturbing incident has come to light from... Indore Airport, where a female passenger alleges that she was harassed and mistreated by an Air India staff member during what should have been a routine boarding process. According to her account, the staffer snatched her boarding pass, behaved aggressively, and even threatened to call security without offering any explanation for denying her boarding. Matters escalated further when he allegedly attempted to snatch her phone as she tried to record the incident for her own safety. What makes this ordeal even more alarming is that she was travelling alone at night, feeling vulnerable and shaken, yet the airport security personnel standing right beside her remained completely passive, offering no assistance or intervention as the situation unfolded. Instead of safeguarding a passenger in distress which is their primary duty the authorities stood by in silence, effectively allowing the harassment to continue unchecked. The passenger further mentioned that when she attempted to document the incident, she was subjected to even more intimidation and harassment, creating an environment of fear and helplessness. It was only because of the support extended by fellow travellers who witnessed the unacceptable behaviour firsthand that she was ultimately allowed to board the flight. The staff had no legitimate grounds to deny her boarding, and their attempt to do so appears to have been an abuse of power and position. For someone who has been a loyal Air India customer for years, this experience has left her extremely distressed, shaken, and in complete disbelief. No traveller especially a woman travelling alone should be subjected to such disrespect, aggression, or unprofessional behaviour at an airport, of all places. This incident raises serious questions about the functioning of Air India staff, the training they receive, and the accountability mechanisms within the airline. It also reflects poorly on the airport authorities, whose silence and inaction contributed to the trauma faced by the passenger. When security personnel fail to protect passengers, it signals a dangerous lapse in protocol and a lack of responsibility.Airports are supposed to be secure, professional, and safe environments. Yet incidents like this expose a disturbing reality where misconduct goes unchecked, power is misused, and authorities look the other way instead of doing their job. If this is the standard of behaviour from airline staff and security officials, it is a matter of serious concern for all passengers who travel through such airports.Strong systems, strict disciplinary action, and zero tolerance for harassment are long overdue. Incidents like this should serve as a wake-up call for both Air India and the airport authorities to fix their internal culture, protect passengers, and restore public trust. #bangalore #bengaluru #indore Airports Authority of India Air India DGCA #airindia #aviation #dgca #airlines #assault #harassment #civilaviation #indigo IndiGo Indore Commissioner Collector Indore Commissioner of Police,Indore Madhya Pradesh Police S.
