If one side has more coordinated supporters, they can force a note through whether the post needs correction or not. That turns what should be a transparency tool into a popularity contest. When “consensus” is determined by numbers rather than accuracy, it stops being about truth and starts being about control. And with that, you can stack the notes as high as you want.
