They usually don't have any issue achieving good contact with their short shots around the green, so in this case, Shane is able to take out all the undulations around this green & just land the ball on the green & using some spin to slow the ball down The harder shot to get the ball close here would be a shot that is running on the ground. There's too much undulation & the ball could hit a ton of bumps along the way which will affect distance control Any shot is possible to hit here... Very cleverly may of the men who have got to the beach are standing in the water, knowing that legally police are unable to enter the water to arrest them. The end gets cut off, but you can see the ref start to run downfield toward the play and Saleh chasing behind him. I think the ref couldn't hear/see Saleh. Not great on the ref's part at all (he should be assuming Saleh wants to call it there and be more prepared for it: also how can you not hear him?) but why is Saleh not standing right next to the ref? Should be hovering over the man. Could've made this a whole lot easier To me this is a mix of both subpar officiating and a coaching mistake. Definitely not a great job by the ref, but also slightly on Saleh for making this harder by standing 4 yards away from the ref instead of right next to him. IMO But still, even at the very end of this clip there's ~17-16 seconds left. I find it very hard to believe Saleh didn't get the timeout in until 13 seconds. So this dad tells his son to lean over and then grabs him by the feet dangling him over the wall to get the ball. 😳 A stadiums employee comes down and grabs the dad by the arm and tells him to stop. 💯 Even the announcer laughs and says “that dude’s gonna’ sacrifice his son.” A couple of things- one, that’s a good way to get kicked out of the park. Man in the Middle A simple drill that goes back to childhood. 2 passers, 15 ft apart. No overhead passes. Defender must slap the ball to start each on-ball rep. If they force a deflection, errant pass, or movement from the receiver → passer is in the middle on defense. #3. Fake Game 1v1 with only 1 or 0 dribbles. Forces defenders to pressure and disrupt without getting blown by. If they sag too much, they give space for an easier shot or downhill free dribble. If they pressure, they learn to force wide and force tough shots. We call it HEAT. Every defender's heat is different, but everyone needs to impact the ball in some way.
