Seedance 2.0 - Advanced Workflows Series 14. Compositing and... Layering Some shots may have many characters that need specific movements. When we start adding characters, it becomes very difficult to achieve the exact animation, gesture, or movement we are looking of all of them in a single generation. In addition, the more characters are added, the more rigid Seedance 2.0 animations become in order to maintain consistency. This is especially visible in styles with squash and stretch and rubber hose animations, where the characters deform their body parts as if they were made of rubber, or in highly expressive movement animations in anime. I didn’t expect Grok’s video model to improve this... much. Today, when I was generating a video with Seedance 2.0, I found the results weren’t very good. So I tried using the exact same source material and prompt in Grok instead. To my surprise, Grok actually produced better results than Seedance 2.0. I’ve put the prompt and source material in the comments, so if you’re interested, you can give it a try too. GPT Image 2 + Seedance 2.0 Prompt Share These... manga-style storyboards might be one of the best ways to transfer energy into video. The exaggerated motion, speed marks and rhythm cues seem to survive the generation process surprisingly well. Feels especially good for solo choreography pieces. Of course, following this many panels inside a 15s video is probably unrealistic. But it still captures the concept and energy surprisingly well. I didn’t have enough time to fully test Seedance... 2.0 with cartoon styles, but I made an attempt here using an image generated in Midjourney, and the result is promising, though somewhat incomplete. One trick we discovered for avoiding realistic face moderation... issues in Seedance 2.0 is using character turnaround sheets (front / side / back views). The first video is one of our experiment results — and it runs successfully. We’ve now integrated character turnarounds directly into our workflow + canvas system: 1. If your artwork was generated on our site, you can drag the image into the canvas directly from the Assets tab 2. Click the “Character Turnaround” button above the image to automatically generate a 3-view turnaround sheet 3. Midjourney sref + Sora 2 Pro is the sauce.... With one Midjourney style image, you can give a specific style for your entire project. I created two different 12-second clips and edited them together. Some details aren’t fully consistent, like the iPod or AirPods because the clips were made separately from a single image (Character in a specific style). It could be fixed in post-production, but that would take more time, and this was more of an experimental test. It would be great to add the actual product image with the current one to maintain product consistency. I feel like if there were a way to add 2–4 images into this workflow, it could open up a lot more possibilities and consistency. With an API, it could be possible.
