I was listening to someone talk about how their... son was being bullied at school. A group of kids pushed him into a bathroom stall, and he ended up locking himself in there. He finally built up the courage to come out and tried to hit one of the kids. The parent got called and told him, “You’re not a fighter. We don’t fight, we tell an adult.” I couldn’t believe it. That mindset is crazy to me. Why would you discourage your child from standing up for himself? I don’t raise my son like that. I don’t like bullies, and I teach my son to stand up for himself.
