The KSS girl has now turned off her comments... on TikTok because of the massive backlash. She’s clearly going through cancel-culture. Almost all her comments were negative, and that raises a serious question how are brands supposed to work with her? Brands don’t just want numbers. They want positive engagement, influence, and trust, and right now she doesn’t even have 1% of that What it really means; She’s losing public trust, She’s losing reputation online, Brands don’t like influencers who bring controversies unless they are specifically selling shock value, Negative comments scare advertisers. She’s really losing it, and at this point her mental health is also on the lineshow more

🤯 Andrej Karpathy's coding rules have officially broken the... internet. [BOOKMARK THIS NOW] 144,000 stars. #1 on GitHub for 28 days straight. But 99% of people still haven't heard of them. Here's what a CLAUDE.md ACTUALLY is, and why it quietly fixed the biggest problem with AI coding: It's a text file Claude reads before it touches your code. Standing instructions. It never forgets them. The 4 rules that went viral: - Think before coding. State assumptions. Ask when unsure. Never guess. - Simplicity first. Minimum code that solves the problem. Nothing extra. - Surgical changes. Touch only what was asked. Every line traces back to the request. - Goal-driven. Turn vague instructions into a test that proves it works, before writing code. The dev who built it says it took his accuracy from ~65% to ~94%. The rules aren't the interesting part though. The interesting part is that almost nobody knows you can do this at all.show more

Angel Reese with the game on the line is... must-see television. Not because you think she’s making it. Because you’re wondering what part of the rim that brick is about to assault. She shoots with the confidence of Michael Jordan and the touch of somebody throwing a cinder block into a shopping cart. CLANK. Angel doesn’t need a shooting coach anymore. She needs a mason. At least somebody could finally teach her what to do with all those bricks.show more

Breaking - The track vet at Aqueduct scratched Miss... Apples today. Tough to hear when the trainer says she 100% disagrees with the decision and we’ve been waiting a year for this day. The horse is doing great and she thought she was gonna win and has showed no issues in training and our own vets think she’s perfect. Reason given was lame left hind. Can’t race again till May at the earliest. Vets doing their jobs I guess. I wouldn’t want to race a horse with any issues but when nobody agrees with that 1 vet it’s tough. Maybe I’ll pass on buying more horses at OBSSales today. I’m sad.show more

Britney Spears’ rep responds to restaurant incident reports from... last night: “This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors. At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife — she was cutting her hamburger in half.” The rep added it’s part of a “constant attack” on Britney, comparing it to media coverage from 20 years ago. Hope she’s doing well. ❤️ Do you agree that Britney hasn’t been treated fairly by the media? 🤔 (Video: AI)show more

AOC’s hypocrisy on privacy is impossible to miss. When... asked about her former fiancé, she immediately shut it down: “I don’t comment on my private life.” Yet on Saturday she posted a detailed update on her egg retrieval journey — complete with morning-of documentation and a promise of more recovery videos to come. She’s clearly turning this into content because she’s positioning herself for a presidential run and wants the publicity that comes with it. How much is this procedure costing her? She still carries student loan debt according to her own financial disclosures, despite making well over a million dollars from taxpayers while serving in Congress. You don’t get to declare one part of your personal life off-limits while turning another intimate medical process into a public series. The selective standard is the entire point.show more

Do you see what Candace is doing? Imagine my... wife accused me of gambling our money on sports. I tell her: “Honey, I haven’t spent a dollar on gambling this month. I’m happy to sit down and talk about it — because I know you’re worried. But if we sit down, you’re not allowed to ask how much is in the account. And you can’t look at the bank statements. Other than that … let’s talk.” Thats basically what Candace is doing. She’ll happily sit down with Andrew, but he’s not allowed to investigate and examine any of her claims.show more

🚨🚨I AM EXTREMELY BULLISH 🚨🚨 I walked into UNIQLO... today in NYC and saw employees live shopping. This will probably grow into $1 trillion industry alone, overtime. Brands that start doing this immediately will get the first mover advantage. Interactive live shopping is the future as customers can put questions in the open chat and ask employees to try on different outfits live. But it won’t stop at clothing. If you are a Small Business, particularly a coffee shop or a café I would start Live shopping making different coffees and experimenting - overtime you will drive insane traffic. If you are in the jewelry business selling watches, I would start live streaming your sales, especially your online auctions if you sell on eBay. Mark my words, live shopping will be huge. Every major flagship retail outlet on fifth avenue should start doing this, it would even be worth it to build a small studio section in the store and overtime you will grow spectators that will come in just to watch the live stream.show more

ROBOMAEDA TALK TODAY: Thank you to Professor Hiroshi Ishii... 石井 裕 as the inspiration for my talk today at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) MIT Media Lab on "life as a hybrid." And it's not going to be my Azure AI Avatar talking for me today -- it'll be the real me. I think ... Date: November 8 (Friday), 11am Boston time Talk info at MIT: Zoom livestream (free): ** --- Building A Hybrid Career Across Tech, Business, And Design. Or, ”How I Learned to Speak Human After Leaving MIT :-)” What happens when a computer science major steps out of MIT and into design, business, and leadership? In “How I Learned To Speak Human After Leaving MIT :-),” I’ll share how leaving the Media Lab in 2008 set me on an unexpected path—from advocating for the arts with the STEAM movement at RISD to navigating venture capital, startups, and industries of all scales. Does being a multidisciplinary “hybrid” thinker and doer enhance or limit one’s career prospects? Through insights from my own journey, I’ll explore the unique challenges and opportunities hybrids face today, offering key takeaways for those building careers across multiple disciplines. This talk brings my journey full circle—from the early foundations of AI in the 80s to the dawn of a new AI-powered industrial revolution. --- Related links: - “Design Against AI” / Design in Tech Report 2024 at SXSW - “The Art and Craft of Business Resilience” / LinkedIn Learning - “Mr. Maeda’s Cozy AI Kitchen” / Learn LLM Coding Easy as CAIK - “Design, Business, Inclusion” / LinkedIn Learning - “How art, technology, and design inform creative leaders” / TED 2012show more

I designed these worksheets to turn Agentic AI concepts... into simple math problems you can do by hand. ✍️ Download PDF: Problems 1 to 5: 1. Count the tokens: split on spaces, one word per box 2. Subword splitting: when one word is three tokens 3. Punctuation counts: the marks are tokens too 4. Tokens per word: the ratio that turns words into a bill 5. Will it fit? A document against a context window Why am I making these worksheets? AI is making people (including me) think less. It's just too easy to ask AI a few questions about a new AI concept and start to believe I get it. Until recently, we could use a coding problem to practice a new AI concept. But now it has become too easy to ask AI to write the code, and we start to think we must know the concept, since we technically solved a coding problem. Thus, my approach is to recast AI concepts as simple math problems we must solve with pen and paper. Using our hands is one way to motivate ourselves to start thinking again. ✍️ ~ Prof. Tom Yehshow more

ELON: I ADMIRE ANYONE MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON... HUMANITY Elon spoke about what inspires him when he looks at people’s work. He said real admiration comes from watching someone make life better for others, even in small ways. For him, it is never about titles or fame, it is about what a person actually builds or creates. He mentioned that it could come from anywhere, whether a lab, a studio, or a garage. What matters, he said, is that the effort leaves the world a little stronger than it was before: “I admire anyone who is making a positive contribution to humanity. Whether that is in entertainment or in technology or in anything else, I think anyone who is doing things that are really useful to the rest of humanity, I admire them greatly.” Source: Asccendly YT Elon Muskshow more

Pamela Anderson Says She’s Not Returning to Baywatch Pamela... Anderson is fully focused on her new chapter and has no plans to revisit Baywatch. In a new interview promoting her dark comedy Rosebush Pruning, she was asked about the Fox reboot and responded: “No one’s reached out to me. I don’t know much about it. I know that they were talking to my sons at some point about producing, but I don’t think they had a meeting of the minds. I’m not sure what happened there, but I wish them well. It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach. I would have been there anyway. At the time, it taught me a lot, and it gave me worldwide exposure. Everything I’ve done has led me to here, which is a blessing. But I have no plans of going back to Baywatch.” (Video: AI) Anderson said she’s more interested in making bold choices and playing different characters right now. Good for her. People still don't understand how good Codex has become... 👀 I asked it to build this Starbucks website and within some 30 minutes it generated this without me touching a single line of code or spending time looking for assets either. Imagen generated every visual and GPT hooked everything into the codebase. After a couple of small tweaks it all just worked. It didn't even use half of my Codex session. It's super surprising to see quality of the assets. Was way better than I expected. That made me think about what AI is actually changing. Being a developer or a designer was never just about doing the work, writing code or designing it using some kind of tool. It was about knowing what to build in the first place. AI is getting incredibly good at the doing. The hard part is still having good ideas, making the right decisions, and knowing when something feels right. That is only getting more valuable. The people who win won't be the ones writing the most code. They'll be the ones with the best ideas who know how to turn them into reality with AI. Live: Code:show more

Most people starting out today don’t realize how easy... they have it. The barrier to entry for starting a business is practically zero. Building a website is so easy now. Back in the day it was either drop 5k+ on a developer or lose your mind learning code off YouTube. Today? You can launch a site in 20 minutes with zero code. The accessibility we have now is insane. Unlimited resources. Unlimited knowledge. No reason not to be making consistent income online. Here’s a look back at a few sites / companies I’ve built throughout the years before AI was released to the public. Long before Atarnity existed…show more
