Hate crimes in NYC are up over 70% under... Mayor Mamdani — with a disturbing spike in antisemitic attacks. According to the latest NYPD stats: 68 confirmed hate crimes last month vs. 39 a year ago. Of those, 41 were antisemitic (up from 24) — a 70%+ jump in crimes targeting Jewish New Yorkers. Antisemitic graffiti has also been popping up in increasing amounts across the city, in addition to the surge in antisemitic protests. While overall crime is down, this specific hatred continues to escalate. Critics say Mamdani’s rhetoric and policies are fueling the problem. I strongly condemn all antisemitic violence, protests, and graffiti. Jewish New Yorkers deserve to feel safe in their own city. Mamdani is failing to keep them safe and protected from persecution.
