Bengaluru first, politics later! The Tunnel Road is not... my personal project - it’s a public initiative for Bengaluru’s future. We had a meeting with Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari who advised us and supported on the Tunnel Project as a solution to our city’s traffic woes. State BJP leaders, who are on a warpath against the project, should first listen to their own Union Minister. When tunnel roads are built by the Central government across India, it’s called development - but when we plan one for Bengaluru, it becomes controversial. Bengaluru deserves constructive solutions and progress - not politics. BJP Karnataka R. Ashokashow more

📍 Vega City, Bannerghatta Road Take a look at... the condition of this road. At first glance, it may appear to be a normal black patch, but in reality, the surface is completely damaged, filled with loose stones, mud, uneven patches, and crater-like potholes. This has turned what should be a safe public road into a serious hazard for commuters. The question every taxpayer is asking is: where is the tax money going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, fuel tax, and various other charges, yet basic road infrastructure continues to deteriorate. During the rainy season, these roads get flooded and resemble small lakes, making travel dangerous and difficult. When there is no rain, the situation is hardly any better, as loose gravel, broken surfaces, and potholes pose risks to motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Bengaluru is known as India's technology capital, but many of its roads continue to reflect poor planning, delayed maintenance, and a lack of accountability. Residents are forced to navigate damaged roads every day while infrastructure projects and promises of development continue to dominate headlines. Do the lives and safety of citizens not matter? How many accidents, vehicle damages, and daily inconveniences must people endure before permanent solutions are implemented? Roads are not a luxury they are a basic necessity, and taxpayers deserve infrastructure that is safe, reliable, and maintained throughout the year. Karnataka State Police DGP KARNATAKA S. Who is dumping garbage under this flyover near MES... Road behind JP Park? And why has this garbage still not been cleaned? The amount of waste piled up here clearly shows this is not garbage thrown in just one day. People have been continuously using this place as an illegal dumping spot without any fear or civic responsibility. Plastic waste, food packets, and other trash are scattered everywhere, turning the area into a health hazard and an eyesore for the public. What happened to basic civic sense? Public spaces and roads are not dumping yards. It is disappointing to see people carelessly throwing garbage wherever they want and then expecting the city to remain clean. Such irresponsible behavior not only damages the environment but also affects the image of Bengaluru. At the same time, authorities also need to answer why this garbage has been allowed to pile up for so long without proper cleaning or monitoring. If regular inspections and strict action were taken, these areas would not turn into mini garbage landfills under flyovers. Both the public and authorities share responsibility here. Citizens must stop treating roadsides as garbage bins, and civic bodies must ensure timely cleaning, install surveillance if needed, and take strict action against those dumping waste illegally.A clean city is possible only when both people and authorities act responsibly. Karnataka State Police S. May this young man's Soul Rest in Peace. The... carnage continues due to unprecedented levels of greed, dereliction of duty, and lack of accountability. The funds are actually there and have been provided over the past decade. The Ministry of Finance Ministry of Finance has released about UGX 100 Billion since 2019 for a Department of Government whose main responsibility and objective should be prevention of road crashes. These funds have been spent on activities with very minimal impact on road safety. This information has been shared with IGG, Office of the Auditor General Uganda, Criminal Investigations Directorate-UPF. How do you explained the death of a young man in a fatal road crash that caused the incineration of the vehicle which he was driving? He must have been driving in one of the best motor vehicles in this country given the wealth of his family. He was driving a motor vehicle which probably had good safety features on a smooth road without pot holes. It is easy to draw conclusions like he was speeding, he was fatigued, he lost control of his motor vehicle, he made errors, e.t.c. Whereas all that may be true, did he deserve to die in such a gruesome way for those errors in judgement? The answer is a BIG NO. The truth is government failed him in so many ways. At the center of modern day road safety management is recognition that errors made by road users (drivers, motorcyclists, cyclist and pedestrians) MUST NOT lead to their demise. Here is a situation he found himself in: Concrete Barriers on a road that encourages high speed. Who has the onus to remove this hazard? Government. I could have perished in the same circumstances a few years back before the completion of the KEE on the way to the Airport. It was a rainy early morning at about 5:00am and I drove through barriers which were made of plastic. So why were these not made of plastic? Was there a provision for lighting on that section? If not, it should have been there. This is what we mean when we say roads should be forgiving. Apart from their design, road sides are the major reference here. The road should have forgiven him for this error if it had plastic reflective barriers. These kind of barriers would have caught his attention and he would have stopped his car instead of killing him. Were the traffic lights functional? Why was there no hazard signage or warning of any sort since there were barriers in middle of the road? This section of the road is built as an expressway and as such encourages speeding especially at any time beyond midnight. There are no traffic calming measures in place yet it is freely used by pedestrians and Boda-Bodaz like any other city road. Roads are supposed to be designed and constructed bearing in mind the activities that take place around them (Land Use). Interventions to control speed must be implemented if there is a high volume of different road users. They would have got his attention and he would not have died. A glaring example of contractors that do not care about road safety is on the section of Kampala-Masaka in the swampy section of Lwera. The Concrete Barriers are there and in places where they are not, there is nothing preventing a motor vehicle falling off into the swamp. Not even a rope. UNTIL THE DAY WHEN THE LEADERSHIP OF THIS COUNTRY ACCEPTS THAT ROAD CRASHES ARE PREVENTABLE AND PARLIAMENT STARTS DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILTY ON ROAD SAFETY, THIS CARNAGE WILL CONTINUE. ACCEPTING THERE IS A PROBLEM IS THE FIRST STEP TO SOLVING IT OR MANAGING IT. TOMORROW IT MIGHT BE ME OR YOU. If you don't HAVE to go anywhere today, it... would be a good idea to stay off the roads. While there has not been a lot of accumulation, there has been a lot of drifting snow building up on some sections of most roads. OPP officers have responded to nearly a dozen collisions across eastern Ontario since 5am. Thankfully most have been minor, with vehicles landing in a ditch. No serious injuries have been reported. If you must be on the roads, slow down, leave extra following distance, keep headlights TURNED on and keep your eyes on the road ahead. Never pass a working snow plow. They are working to make the road safer for you. The snow is expected to continue all day, meaning things will not be getting better. Check for updated road conditions or monitor local radio. #ONhwys #OttTraffic #ONStorm #DriveSafe ^bdshow more

From Highway to Mud Pit: Uttara Kannada–Sirsi Road Turns... Into Slush Nightmare Look at the condition of this road in Karnataka this is the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road. Thanks to our MLA, MP, and the state government for this worst kind of maintenance. What should have been a proper, motorable road has now turned into a muddy stretch filled with slush and deep potholes. This Uttara Kannada Sirsi road has become a nightmare for the public. Even buses are unable to cross smoothly, and bikers are struggling in the middle of the slush, risking accidents at every moment. Many vehicles are simply turning back because no one wants to get stuck or damage their vehicles. Local residents, daily commuters, school children, and emergency services are all suffering because of this pathetic condition. Where is the road? Is this what people pay taxes for? This is not just poor maintenance this is complete negligence. Authorities make big promises about development and infrastructure, but the ground reality on the Uttara Kannada Sirsi road tells a completely different story. Basic infrastructure like roads should be a priority, not an afterthought. The concerned officials and elected representatives must take responsibility immediately instead of ignoring the hardships faced by the people. The public deserves safe and proper roads, not this endless stretch of mud and inconvenience. #banalore #bengaluru #sirsi #uttarkannada 112 Uttara Kannada Deo UttaraKannada Ramalinga Reddy SP Karwar DK Shivakumar Siddaramaiah alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. A Serious Safety Concern Regarding Ongoing Metro Construction Work... A metal sheet fell onto a busy road from an under-construction metro site. Thankfully, no one was injured, and the car driver managed to brake in time. But what if a biker had been passing by at that exact moment? The consequences could have been much more serious. This incident highlights the need for strict safety measures at construction sites, including proper securing of materials, barricading, and regular safety inspections. Long Weekend Escape? Bengaluru Crowd Turns Agumbe Ghat Into... 4-Hour Traffic Festival This is the scene at Agumbe Ghat when people from Bengaluru head out to “enjoy” their long weekend only to end up stuck in traffic for 3–4 hours straight. What was supposed to be a peaceful getaway into nature turns into an extended parking session on a hill road. Instead of exploring scenic views, breathing fresh air, and relaxing, people are treated to a premium experience of bumper-to-bumper traffic, honking symphonies, and slow-motion driving from one curve to the next. Ironically, the only thing moving faster than the vehicles is the frustration. At this point, it almost feels like the plan isn’t to escape the city, but to carry Bengaluru’s traffic along for a road trip. Long weekend holiday? More like a well-organized traffic festival—where the destination doesn’t matter, because you’re already spending all your time on the road. #bangalore #bengaluru #traffic #agumbe #ghat Agumbe Rainforest AgumbeRainforest SP Shivamogga DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. ⚠️ Caution to Mokila HMDA Plot Bidders ⚠️ Upcoming... Mokila HMDA auction is on 29th June & 30th June and I visited the site today, and here are my thoughts. The HMDA layout is shaping up very well. The development quality looks good, and the internal roads and overall planning appear to be done to a decent standard. However, the current approach roads are a major concern. • The approach road from Mokila Main Road / Waterford Villas side is decent initially, but remember it is only a 30 ft road, and nearly 1 km towards the end is still a kacha road. • The Kollur approach road is currently in a pathetic condition. • The third access road, which was probably operational earlier via the Aparna venture side, is now closed. Though the brochure mentions 3 HMDA planned approach roads, none of them are actually under progress or visibly planned on ground as of now. Personally, I would not recommend bidding beyond ₹65,000 per sq yard at the current stage. There are other options like Gachibowli County and JB Ventures plots directly on the RR7 Extension Road in the ₹55K–₹60K range, with much better connectivity and just 10–12 minutes from the Kollur exit. It doesn’t make much sense to invest ₹70K–₹80K+ without a proper and dependable approach road.show more

Attempt to Kill? XL6 Driver Drags Man on Bonnet... in Broad Daylight In Bengaluru A shocking case of road rage was caught on camera on 11th February 2026 at around 12:45 PM on Old Airport Road in Bengaluru. In the disturbing visuals, a Maruti Suzuki XL6 bearing registration number KA03NN4501 can be seen speeding recklessly while a man is lying on the bonnet of the moving vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver was driving at a very high speed, endangering not only the man on the bonnet but also other commuters on the busy stretch. The man on the bonnet was seen shouting and pleading with the driver to stop the car, but the driver allegedly continued to accelerate without concern for human life. The act has raised serious concerns about public safety and reckless behavior on city roads. Such behavior is not just irresponsible it is criminal. Dragging a person on the bonnet of a speeding car shows a complete disregard for human life and traffic laws. Roads are meant for safe travel, not for settling personal disputes in a life-threatening manner. Incidents like these could have easily resulted in a fatality.Upon further verification, it has come to light that the driver is reportedly a previous offender in cases related to rash driving. Additionally, checks revealed that the vehicle’s insurance policy had expired, which is another violation of the Motor Vehicles Act. Operating a vehicle without valid insurance and engaging in repeated reckless driving reflects blatant negligence and a lack of accountability. According to the DCP EAST, a case has been registered against the driver, and further investigation is underway. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken as per the law. This incident once again highlights the growing menace of road rage and reckless driving in Bengaluru. Strict enforcement, heavy penalties, and cancellation of licenses for repeat offenders are necessary to ensure that such dangerous individuals are kept off the roads before innocent lives are lost. Karnataka State Police S. Another example of Tesla Self driving better than humans.... I’m following this Legacy SUV in my Cybertruck on FSD 14.2.2.1 and we feel the brakes and are like what’s going on. Then see a deer ahead in front of SUV run past road. Deer makes it across but what is funny but not funny the SUV doesn’t even tap brakes. Don’t even look liked they slowed down. You can see us slowing down behind SUV after deer crosses. This is all done by FSD. I did nothing. People often ask me if I trust FSD. I always say yes. More than humans for sure. This is one more example of seeing road conditions before humans. Bravo Teslashow more

Here is an example of what I mean by... my post I quoted. There was nothing on the road, yet FSD 14.2 went over the line and ripples to avoid whatever it may have imagined. I was startled for a second and can only imagine the shock for someone trying FSD for the very first time. No, the car in the opposite lane did not come over to my side either Again, that alone would have been enough for my wife's solid "Nope, I am not using that." Ikkada road undali kada saar...! This is Bengaluru’s Silk... Board after last night’s heavy rain. The entire stretch turned into what looked more like a swimming pool than one of the city’s busiest junctions. Even the newly constructed metro station area was completely waterlogged, raising serious concerns about Bengaluru’s infrastructure and drainage planning. Vehicles were struggling to move through the flooded roads while commuters were left stranded in traffic chaos. Despite massive development projects and ongoing metro construction, the city continues to face the same flooding issues every monsoon. Roads disappearing under water has now become a regular scene in Bengaluru whenever heavy rain hits the city. It is shocking to see such severe waterlogging around a newly built metro corridor that was supposed to improve urban mobility and infrastructure. Citizens are once again questioning how crores are being spent on development while basic drainage problems remain unsolved. There is a 50-metre stretch of road in Sector... 68, Gurugram, that separates around 400 to 500 families at M3M Marina from the new master road GMDA is building between Sectors 68 and 69. Fifty metres. That is all. And it has been blocked. M3M Marina's original main gate was designed to open onto this stretch. The road that would lead straight to the Sector 68-69 dividing road and from there to the Sohna Highway near Badshapur. That gate has never opened. Not once. For four to five years, every resident of Marina has been using a single secondary gate that exits onto the Aklimpur-Teekli village road. A broken, patchy road through a village. Not a backup route. The only route. Now, after years of court disputes and a stay that was finally lifted in early 2026, HSVP cleared the encroachments on the Sector 68-69 road. Ninety percent of the land is free. GMDA tenders are nearly done. The road that thousands of residents had been waiting for is finally being built. For Marina, this should have meant one thing. The main gate could finally open. Instead, Supertech sent people to the connecting stretch. They physically dug up the road. Residents, including school buses carrying children, were turned away. Everyone pushed back toward the same secondary gate. The same broken village road. The same 700 to 800 metres of extra distance every single day. For 400 to 500 families, the solution was 50 metres away. It was dug up in front of them. I visited Marina yesterday with a client. The frustration on the ground is not dramatic. It is tired. These are families that have been asking for this access for years. They were told the road would come. Now a master road is actually being built right next to them. And they still cannot reach it. Supertech owns that land. Legally, it is within its rights. Nobody is questioning the title here. But sit with the picture for a second. This is the same Supertech that is under NCLT insolvency proceedings. The same builder whose allottees have been protesting outside HRERA, demanding refunds for flats that were supposed to be delivered in 2017. A company that cannot return a single rupee to its own buyers. Cannot finish its own construction. Cannot respond to its own regulatory orders. That company still had the resources and the intent to station people at a road and physically dig it up. A builder that cannot refund its own buyers always has the budget to block someone else's road. They all do. That is one constant across Gurugram real estate that never changes. This is not a one-off story either. On Golf Course Extension Road, there are societies where residents pay a private landowner hefty monthly rent just to use his vacant plot as a road to reach their own homes. Because the planned connectivity was never built. The pattern repeats everywhere. Builders launch, buyers pay, and the last 50 metres of access becomes someone else's problem. Sometimes it becomes the resident's monthly bill. The Sector 68-69 master road is being built. The hope was real. For 500 families, it still is. They are just waiting for someone to care about 50 metres.show more
