🚨 AMERICA JUST BUILT THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL METAL... 3D PRINTER AND IT’S ABOUT TO MASS-PRODUCE ROCKETS AND MISSILES. Divergent Technologies has unveiled the Monolith One, a giant industrial metal printer standing over 8 meters tall and armed with 12 high-powered lasers delivering a combined 24 kilowatts of energy. Unlike typical 3D printers used for prototypes, this machine is built for serious, high-volume production. It can print large, complex aerospace and defense parts in aluminum, titanium, steel, and nickel alloys and it roughly doubles the output of current systems. Why this matters: • Divergent plans to install 64 more of these machines in a massive new 430,000 sq ft factory in Long Beach, California • Once running, the facility aims to produce tens of thousands of munition airframes per year plus hundreds of thousands of critical metal components • It slashes manufacturing time from months down to weeks or even days • The company already supplies major players like Lockheed Martin and RTX The deeper implication: This isn’t just another 3D printer. It represents a shift toward software-defined, on-demand manufacturing at industrial scale for mission-critical hardware. As defense and aerospace demand skyrockets, traditional supply chains are too slow. Systems like Monolith One could become a cornerstone of faster, more resilient domestic production especially for complex structures that are difficult or impossible to make conventionally. We’re watching the industrialization of additive manufacturing in real time. How do you think large-scale 3D printing will change aerospace and defense manufacturing over the next decade? One of the least understood systems in aerospace manufacturing... is the BeAM Magic 800 directed energy deposition platform used for printing turbine nozzles and hot-section components. It uses a laser to melt metal powder or wire feedstock, depositing material layer by layer with positioning accuracy in the 20-50 micron range, building complex nickel superalloy structures that can withstand extreme thermal cycling. A full industrial setup can cost $800,000 to $1.5M+ The materials are not simple metals, but aerospace-grade alloys like Inconel 718 and 625, designed to survive temperatures above 700-900°C while resisting creep and oxidation. But the printed part is never the final part. Critical sealing surfaces, flanges, and precision interfaces are still finished on CNC machines to tolerances under 10 microns, because additive alone cannot guarantee repeatable surface integrity under flight loads. 5-Axis CNC machining of turbocharger impellers sits in the... same league as aerospace manufacturing, precision engineering pushed to physical limits. These machines run with positional accuracy in the 1-5 micron range, spindle speeds of 20,000-40,000 RPM, and continuous 5-axis interpolation to carve complex blade geometry without collision, vibration, or thermal drift during cutting of nickel alloys and titanium. A production-grade 5-axis system for impellers typically costs $300,000 to $3 million+ The real constraint is not motion, but stability, suppressing chatter, tool deflection, and microscopic surface defects that would quietly destroy efficiency at 100,000+ RPM operating cycles. Without this class of machining, modern turbocharged engines, high-efficiency industrial compressors, and compact propulsion systems simply would not exist.show more

This is an 80,000-tonne hydraulic forging press from China’s... Northern Heavy Industries, one of the largest metal-forming machines ever built. But it is not simply a machine that bends metal like traditional presses do. At this scale, forging is about changing the internal structure of the material itself, compressing the metal, refining its molecular grain flow and eliminating hidden defects that could cause failure decades later. Machines like this are used to create some of the most critical components on Earth, aircraft landing gear, titanium aerospace structures, nuclear reactor components, massive gas turbine rotors and ship propulsion shafts. The metals being forged are among the most advanced engineering materials available, ultra-high-strength steels, titanium alloys and nickel-based superalloys designed to survive extreme temperatures, pressure and millions of fatigue cycles. An 80,000-tonne press is an industrial ecosystem by itself. The press, hydraulic systems, furnaces, manipulators and supporting infrastructure can require hundreds of millions of dollars in investment, with hydraulic systems requiring tens of megawatts of power to control forces equivalent to thousands of tonnes. The biggest industrial machines often do not make the final products. They make the materials that make those products possible.show more

BREAKING: The global petrochemical market is entering a shock... phase. Replacing the lost production capacity of Iranian and Arab producers in supplying global demand for polyethylene, urea, ammonia, and even methanol is not easy—this is a moment of real concern for the world. The Amir Kabir complex, a key producer of LLDPE (used for plastic bags), and Tondguyan, a major producer of PET (used for plastic bottles), were critical to both domestic supply and broader industrial development. Their loss will ripple across food, packaging, and manufacturing industries. With major petrochemical facilities in Mahshahr hit, a sharp surge in global prices for fertilizers, polymers, and plastics is now expected. The impact could extend far beyond Iran, potentially affecting regional producers such as Saudi Arabia and reshaping global supply chains. #OperationEpicFury #OperationLionsRoarshow more

Update on LAT Aerospace Our first uSTOL technology demonstrator... is ready. Today, we have a fully-electric, fixed-wing UAV, built from scratch and almost ready for flight. To make this possible in just a few months, we built our entire flight lab from scratch. Every bench, every tool, every fixture designed to push the aircraft closer to flight every single day. This aircraft is designed to takeoff in 40 meters (thanks to a massive CL of 5 which is more than 2x of what you see on most aircraft). Endurance of 60 minutes. With a range of being able to cruise autonomously from Mumbai to Pune. Ground rolls done. As I type this, we are pushing hard to get the bird in the air. Hopefully it doesn't blow up. Either way, I promise videos of our attempt sometime over the next few weeks. We have learnt so much over the last few months, and I am sure that there are a lot of hard learnings yet in store for us. Our research on hybrid-electric propulsion is already in full swing, and we’ve also started building a team to begin development on our own gas turbine engines. This is one of the hardest engineering challenges possible. Our team is relentlessly at it to make this a reality before the turn of this decade. Our proposal to get Europe forward towards a Federation... is to start with the Benelux first, as a historic testing ground of European Integration, it should pick that role up again to prove that federal cooperation works, making it attractive for others to join. The idea is to create a Benelux Federation between Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, while keeping their own national identities, cultures and local politics. The federation would focus on the things where working together gives them more power and ambition: defence, trade and foreign relations, industry, energy, infrastructure and the internal market. Semiconductors: They already have ASML, imec, NXP and many strong suppliers. Now they should build the full chain around them, from research and design to manufacturing, packaging and testing. Make the Benelux Europe's semiconductor hub by pooling resources, similar to Japan's semiconductor manufacturing plan. Ports: Rotterdam and Antwerp-Bruges together handle around 695 million tonnes of cargo a year. Instead of competing separately, they should work as one Benelux port and logistics system, connecting ports, railways, waterways, pipelines and industry. High-speed rail: Build a new Benelux network designed for 400 km/h or faster, integrating all cities, and making federal travel seamless. Defence: They already train and operate together. The next step is to integrate procurement, logistics, intelligence, cyber defence, air defence and command. Buy more together, reduce duplication and build a stronger Benelux defence industry. Industry: Create a common industrial strategy and investment fund for semiconductors, AI, robotics, biotechnology, defence and advanced manufacturing. Make it easier and faster to build factories and scale companies across the Benelux. Federal government and simplification: Create a small federal government responsible only for the powers given to the federation, while keeping national governments and local politics intact. Make the Benelux the least bureaucratic country in the world by removing unnecessary rules, standardising where possible and making decisions fast. Give businesses clear rules, one digital system and simple permits, so that starting a company, building a factory or expanding across the Benelux is as easy as possible. Energy: Plan the electricity grid, standardised nuclear power buildout, offshore wind, hydrogen, solar and other major energy infrastructure together. A bigger connected energy system gives industry more security and makes the region more attractive for investment. Culture: Build a shared Benelux identity while keeping each country's own culture and traditions. Promote shared history, food, music, sport and heritage, while becoming known for combining European heritage with a modern and innovative future. Ambition: Make the Benelux a blueprint for the economy of the future, leading in robotisation, AI, advanced manufacturing, quantum technology, biotechnology, new materials and space. Invest heavily in research and turn new technologies into companies, industries and jobs. The federation should aim to build one of the most advanced economies in the world, from automated factories and next-generation infrastructure to European space infrastructure and a future Moon base. European scale: A Benelux Federation would still have limits because three countries cannot match the scale of the United States, China or the largest global markets. To become a true world leader, Europe would need to integrate further. The Benelux should therefore be the first blueprint showing that more European integration and democratisation can work at a federal level, creating a model that other European countries can join and build on over time. The point of the project is to prove a Federal Europe would work, not by words, but by tangible results. Once proven, our nations would have a reason to federate. Benelux pushed EU in integration before, it should do it again!show more

This is something all Indians must understand leaving behind... politics and ideologies: The massive boom in India's infrastructure in the last 10 years is undeniable. Be it highways, border roads, airports, trains, metros, or ports - there's a 100-300% increase compared to before. No joke. I have not seen this level of development and building for decades before. Projects are not just announced but are actually being completed and inaugurated. When you have this much infrastructure being built by thousands of contractors and companies, there will always be some issues come up. From bad quality here and there to delays in some. It happens in every country. Even in the most developed and advanced ones like the very large US or very small Singapore. They too have leaking metro stations, roads that cave in, bridges that break, and trains that breakdown. But only for India, there's a coordinated communist campaign being run online to blackpill Indians by lifting every issue around the large country, amplifying it as the worst that only happens in India, to destroy the credibility of India's development and government. If you suddenly start building 100,000 kms of highways, using thousands of contractors and hundreds of companies, yes there will be a few kms of bad patch somewhere or a bad contractor doing a shoddy job. Yet, that is being taken and amplified online to disillusion Indians about their own democracy, destroy their confidence, and derail India's development using their disillusionment. They are made to believe and say "Everything is bad, everything is corrupt." This is being done in a coordinated way targeting India's youth primarily. Because the adversaries know India's youth have no past experience to judge. And they are the ones who will take India to the future. They can be easily programmed showing only the glitzy images of Shangai & Shenzen to make them feel sad about their cities. They know by disillusioning them, and destroying their confidence, India's development can be arrested for a long time. If you as an older adult understand this and the significance of the current infrastructure boom for the future, it is your responsibility to inform at least a few of the people you know offline about what's going on. It's OK you get challenged, ridiculed, or even abused. Because we know the mental programming and blackpilling is that much these days. Yet, it is important to try make them understand for India's sake.show more
