A progression for teaching Drive-Catch. Similar to a sprinter coming out of the blocks, there’s a rhythmic sound the feet make when contacting the ground. Also, similar to sprinters, it requires strength. Prioritize strength in early development phase. #ELITEMindset

Teaching Progression: Break the whole in to phases, own each phase before moving on to next phase, and then put it all together. It’s not FAST, sexy, or entertaining. It’s INTENTIONAL work. A high school / youth player NEEDS to learn how to focus and feel. #ELITEMindset

HS kids just keep evolving… BUT… they aren’t necessarily better PLAYERS than predecessors. Having access to ANY answer at ANY time is easy. Sometimes, struggle is NECESSARY. Keep doing HARD things, build strength, make them think, and then… skill becomes HARDENED #EliteMindset
