While anti-Sharaa crowd keeps claiming that "Jolani is massacring Christians", the Vatican's ambassador to #Syria toured today Christian villages in W. #Idlib, amid the continued return of residents to the area. During the visit, the Vatican flag was raised with the Syrian flag at a local (Latin) Church in presence of Government officials. Few weeks ago, the first Christian collective prayer - in 14 years - was held in the nearby countryside of Latakia (see below).

#Syria: Abu Dujana, former Uzbek military trainer who fought against pro-Assad forces, has now his own restaurant in #Idlib countryside (Fuah). The restaurant, which opened today, serves Uzbek and Russian dishes. He's part of a growing number of former foreign fighters who didn't join the Defense Ministry and instead opened their own businesses.

The 4-day battle mainly involved seizing surrounding checkpoints and defensive positions, with little street fighting once they fell - allowing Idlib to be captured without major damage. It marked the beginning of an offensive that would seize most of the province that was under Regime control, with Rebel groups united under the Jaish Fateh coalition. Today, 50 schools were inaugurated after being restored: - 4 in Ariha (town & countryside) - 4 in Kafranbel - 9 in Idlib - 9 in Saraqeb - 10 in Maaret Numan - 14 in Khan Sheikhoun ~630 schools reopened so far in the province since Assad's fall.
