Did you play "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" on your Commodore 64? Zzap!64 magazine rated it 72% "On the C64, at least, Indy gets a really quite good game. The main sprite is well drawn and animated, complete with stubble on his chin. Background graphics are generally good, with the Zeppelin stage nicely replicating the air sickness-inducing swaying of the Amiga version. Sound is a disappointment - spot FX only - but there's a good title tune. Actual playability is improved by being that vital bit faster, and with five loads this is a good value for money package."

Robocop the movie was made into an equally impressive Commodore 64 game...with an issue! Released in 1988 by Ocean Software, it was infamous for being rushed out incomplete. On Level 4 (the warehouse/factory stage), the game hits a massive bug where the graphics become completely corrupted and the level is nearly impossible to finish. Developers reportedly lowered the time limit on purpose so most players would never reach the broken part. That aside it was an awesome game, Zzap!64 magazine rated it a solid 89% and described it as "Good blasting fun from the outset. It's tough but it'll keep you hooked" Despite the bugs, the game has excellent visuals for the C64, Robocop himself has great sprite work and the music by Jonathan Dunn, top notch. Are you a fan of this game, did it give the movie the props it deserved? Finally, did you somehow manage to complete it?

Thrust on the Commodore 64 (Firebird, 1986) is still one of those games that punish you beautifully. I love it! At first glance, you realize this is a game of physics, inertia-based physics, and fuel management. I wish I did better at school LOL! Luckily, it's also a game of common sense too, phew! Towing the precious Klystron pod while desperately trying not to smash into cavern walls all the while avoiding turret gunfire, this was the ultimate stress back in the day, and we loved it. And Rob Hubbard's title music? As always, Rob delivers; that's why he's my favorite Commodore 64 SID musician. Look, you've gotta take 15% of your salary or any money you make cutting the lawn or whatever it is and you've got to invest it. What my mother did was never let more than 5% into any one stock and no more than 20% into any one sector. She didn't have ETFs back then. Now you can do this easily with an ETF, you can download an app. The key is have the discipline to save 15% from your average salary and if you start in your mid-20s and you have the discipline not to buy more crap you will be wealthy by the time you retire.
