The Simpsons Arcade Game (1991) is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up by Konami featuring cartoon graphics and 4-player co-op. Goal is to rescue a kidnapped Maggie across Springfield locations. Also has brand new recordings by the show's voice actors. Among the three best-selling arcades of 1991, together with Street Fighter II and TMNT: Turtles in Time. Ported to the Commodore 64 and MS-DOS PC in 1991. Later released digitally for the Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Arcade) and PlayStation 3 (PlayStation Network) in February 2012, though it was later delisted.

Robocop the movie was made into an equally impressive Commodore 64 game...with an issue! Released in 1988 by Ocean Software, it was infamous for being rushed out incomplete. On Level 4 (the warehouse/factory stage), the game hits a massive bug where the graphics become completely corrupted and the level is nearly impossible to finish. Developers reportedly lowered the time limit on purpose so most players would never reach the broken part. That aside it was an awesome game, Zzap!64 magazine rated it a solid 89% and described it as "Good blasting fun from the outset. It's tough but it'll keep you hooked" Despite the bugs, the game has excellent visuals for the C64, Robocop himself has great sprite work and the music by Jonathan Dunn, top notch. Are you a fan of this game, did it give the movie the props it deserved? Finally, did you somehow manage to complete it?

Thrust on the Commodore 64 (Firebird, 1986) is still one of those games that punish you beautifully. I love it! At first glance, you realize this is a game of physics, inertia-based physics, and fuel management. I wish I did better at school LOL! Luckily, it's also a game of common sense too, phew! Towing the precious Klystron pod while desperately trying not to smash into cavern walls all the while avoiding turret gunfire, this was the ultimate stress back in the day, and we loved it. And Rob Hubbard's title music? As always, Rob delivers; that's why he's my favorite Commodore 64 SID musician. You may recall, last year I gave away 100 digital editions of his book The Master of Magic on this X channel. This month I am giving away a Commodore 64 Ultimate to one lucky SUBSCRIBER! Being a subscriber is $3 USD/month with monthly giveaways and exclusive videos. Zzap!64 magazine rated it a massive 94% "At last!! A version of Gravitar which plays just as well as the original. Although not being a totally faithful copy, Thrust adds its own elements and comes up with one of the most addictive and playable arcade games." Desert Strike by Electronic Arts (1992) is a great isometric shoot 'em up, with a killer intro (90s games had the best intros, seriously), and it always felt a a bit of the (very) big brother of Raid on Bungeling Bay from 1984. For those of you old enough to remember, you might see where I am going with this. Across 27 missions, you destroy enemies and rescue hostages, while having to manage fuel, ammo, and armor. You pilot an AH-64 Apache helicopter in a Gulf War scenario, against dictator General Kilbaba and his evil nuclear threat. The game certainly didn't win any prizes for complexity but it had a very high "hell yeah, let's just blow stuff up" factor - which made it great fun and easy to get into.

Did you know Xenon was actually the very first game from the legendary Bitmap Brothers? This 1988 vertical shooter on the Commodore Amiga kicked off their iconic run with that signature metallic look: smooth scrolling, the awesome tank-to-fighter jet transformations, massive bosses, and pure high-energy action that defined early 16-bit greatness. Absolute classic that still holds up today! Did you know the digitized face that pops up saying "Level One" was Bitmap Brother Eric Matthews! Xenon was also the first Amiga game ever to crack the UK Top 40 software charts which was usually dominated by Commodore 64 and Spectrum games. The game is legendary but from memory after you blasted your way through the game, it just looped back to the start, (correct me if my memory is faulty) those sort of endings were a major disappointed especially when you have dedicated so many hours into the game! Do you remember playing it?

5 Facts you didn't want to know about Alien Breed for the Commodore Amiga Alien Breed (1991) is a landmark Amiga title that defined Team17’s early style: tense, atmospheric, and brutally addictive. It was perfect for co-op gaming with mates. Programmed by Andreas Tadic and Peter Tuleby, with graphics by Rico Holmes and iconic music by Allister Brimble. 1. Top-down run-and-gun sci-fi shooter heavily inspired by Aliens: You (and a friend in co-op) explore an infested space station, blasting xenomorph-like aliens (I originally thought they were aliens) while managing limited ammo and health. It mixes fast arcade action with tense resource management. 2. Team17’s breakthrough hit: This was only their second game, after Full Contact, and their first full-price release. It put the UK developer and publisher on the map, before they became famous for the Worms series. 3. Extremely well-received on Amiga: Launched to critical acclaim, with many magazines scoring it 85–91% (CVG 91%, Zero 91%, CU Amiga 90%, Amiga Action 87%). It was usually praised for its smooth multi-directional scrolling, atmosphere, co-op play, and technical excellence on the Amiga. 4. Infamously difficult: The original game was notoriously tough and short, with only six levels. One of the few games I managed to finish (in 2 player mode with my brother) without using unlimited lives: Silkworm It's a classic horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up developed and published by Tecmo for arcades in 1988. You control either a heli (player 1) or a jeep (player 2) as they blast through enemy territory. And "blast" in the very sense of the word - great sound effects, epic explosions, and non-stop action. The helicopter offers free movement in the air, while the jeep drives on the ground, can jump over obstacles like mines, and has a turret that rotates to shoot in a 180 degree angle. Originally an arcade game, it was later ported to home computers like the Amiga (as in the video) and consoles. To me still one of the best games ever for the Amiga, and still playing it these days when my brother comes for a visit.

I am not as yet, but more and more people are becoming State Nationals and withdrawing for the United States Corporations and it's policy enforcement. Remember, ALL cities are corporations and Police Officer work for cities and NOT "unincorporated" areas that are controlled by counties. Take a listen to this gentleman NOT get a ticket or have his unregistered vehicle towed by the "Police" or "policy enforcement officer". It's a tricky dance with English diction in order to not fall into their enforcement jurisdiction. This gentleman handled it perfectly. In order to be a State national you need to change the type of passport you have which will legally allow you to travel freely in the United States and the rest of the world for that matter. Also there are several court documents, state documents, with your name change that needs to happen in order for you to fully retrieve your trust. Had he been ticketed or his vehicle towed by an uninformed Deputy or Police Officer, the court would release the ticket and give him his "automobile" back with no fees paid. If you are a police officer and you really want to be in Constitutional "law enforcement" you need to work with a County as a Sheriff Deputy, or in my case, a criminal investigator working for the county District Attorney's office. Interesting to say the least...

Crimson Desert previews are here and overall, content creators are impressed with the game: - Open world is gorgeous, the game ran remarkably well on this PC build with no FPS drops (7900XTX GPU), the draw distance is insane - Crimson Desert does not hold your hand, there are genuinely difficult puzzles and no yellow paint to guide you, with a ton of mechanics in combat and exploration that all come together and are up to the player to use - Every single questline's cutscenes are motion captured and animated, it does not use generic animations (at least for main quests) - MMO roots from Black Desert are obvious, the skill tree is deeply involved and each build feels entirely unique - Combat is reportedly "really good" with a ton of complex mechanics and great animations - NPCs don't have schedules like a Kingdom Come 2 or Skyrim, they are mostly static but they will react to your actions and there is a full crimes system that you can mess with - You can set arrows on fires by aiming towards any source of fire then shooting, this is used in environmental puzzles. Another way to set things on fire is by pressing down both bumpers which causes Kliff to hold up his sword to reflect the sun's light onto things to set them on fire - Quest givers will contact you by sending a bird with a letter, this will happen naturally in the open world - Exploration is fantastic, each location is entirely unique and you can utilize all the different abilities in unique ways, for example you can launch yourself across a wall OR use a dragon to fly in OR climb it - Boss fights are very advanced, each one is unique with their design and movesets - Side Quests and Random Events are fun, some are as small as rescuing a cat from a rooftop, others are more major storylines - Some quest bugs were seen, but no optimization issues, when they were switched to an Endgame save, many reported a higher number of bugs and glitches but nothing game-breaking. - There are combat finishers and they are unique for each weapon type - Combos are available and they are unique for every single weapon type, there are many button combinations to apply these in combat - Some content creators complained that the puzzles were too confusing as they utilize a very specific ability at times and its hard to keep track of all the abilities that you have - You can buy food or cook it, or hunt and sell that meat - Content creators all loved it, they played 6+ hours and had fun, saying that they just want to play more afterwards - Controls however are described as complex and may be clunky as there are a many button combinations for unique actions It seems like Crimson Desert is shaping up to be a genuinely great game, we are yet to see console footage but if the amazing optimization for PC is anything to go by, we likely have little to worry about. Crimson Desert is dropping on March 19th, I cannot wait!

Crimson Desert previews are here and overall, content creators are impressed with the game: - Open world is gorgeous, the game ran remarkably well on this PC build with no FPS drops (7900XTX GPU), the draw distance is insane - Crimson Desert does not hold your hand, there are genuinely difficult puzzles and no yellow paint to guide you, with a ton of mechanics in combat and exploration that all come together and are up to the player to use - Every single questline's cutscenes are motion captured and animated, it does not use generic animations (at least for main quests) - MMO roots from Black Desert are obvious, the skill tree is deeply involved and each build feels entirely unique - Combat is reportedly "really good" with a ton of complex mechanics and great animations - NPCs don't have schedules like a Kingdom Come 2 or Skyrim, they are mostly static but they will react to your actions and there is a full crimes system that you can mess with - You can set arrows on fires by aiming towards any source of fire then shooting, this is used in environmental puzzles. Another way to set things on fire is by pressing down both bumpers which causes Kliff to hold up his sword to reflect the sun's light onto things to set them on fire - Quest givers will contact you by sending a bird with a letter, this will happen naturally in the open world - Exploration is fantastic, each location is entirely unique and you can utilize all the different abilities in unique ways, for example you can launch yourself across a wall OR use a dragon to fly in OR climb it - Boss fights are very advanced, each one is unique with their design and movesets - Side Quests and Random Events are fun, some are as small as rescuing a cat from a rooftop, others are more major storylines - Some quest bugs were seen, but no optimization issues, when they were switched to an Endgame save, many reported a higher number of bugs and glitches but nothing game-breaking. - There are combat finishers and they are unique for each weapon type - Combos are available and they are unique for every single weapon type, there are many button combinations to apply these in combat - Some content creators complained that the puzzles were too confusing as they utilize a very specific ability at times and its hard to keep track of all the abilities that you have - You can buy food or cook it, or hunt and sell that meat - Content creators all loved it, they played 6+ hours and had fun, saying that they just want to play more afterwards - Controls however are described as complex and may be clunky as there are a many button combinations for unique actions It seems like Crimson Desert is shaping up to be a genuinely great game, we are yet to see console footage but if the amazing optimization for PC is anything to go by, we likely have little to worry about. Crimson Desert is dropping on March 19th, I cannot wait!

IMPORTANT 🚨 Starting October 1, 2025 Cigna Health Insurance announced they will start using an algorithm to automatically down code what physicians do to reduce payments THIS IS FRAUD, if a doctor up codes it’s illegal, but CIgna decided they can make their own rules “If you have Cigna health insurance, don't be surprised if your doctor says he's no longer taking your coverage. Cigna announced that they're going to down code exam visits. So new patient exam and follow up patient exams, re-exams or follow ups that you have with your doctor for anything, they're going to take those high level exams when your doctor's actually spending time with you trying to figure things out coded at a 4 or a 5. These are higher level exams and they're gonna automatically down code these exams to a 2 or a 3. What this means is the doctor is gonna get paid less for the amount of time being spent with the patient and he's gonna be forced, he or she's gonna be forced to spend extra time sending in notes and records in addition to all the other things they have to do for the insurance company. I see this as a way that the doctors are just going to simply say enough, we're not going to take insurance anymore. I'm letting you know this because do not be surprised if doctors stop taking in Cigna as your insurance. This is right on the heels, maybe even the same day it was announced that Johns Hopkins Hospital is no longer going to be taking UnitedHealthcare. So don't think that the doctors and the hospitals are not trying to do something about this. Johns Hopkins is no longer going to take UnitedHealthcare. And now Cigna announces they said, hey, hold my beer. We're going to down code all doctors visits from a that are four or five level code to a two or three. And I'm telling you, doctors are not gonna, they're, they don't have the time to send in these records and notes to try to get paid on the back end. Tim Ferriss on the dangerous trap hiding inside self-help: Most people approach self-improvement the same way someone might prepare to play soccer, except they never actually get on the field. Tim describes this pattern in striking detail: "You want to play soccer but first you're going to read all the textbooks and get a master's degree and PhD in soccer and then you're going to practice dribbling and penalty shots and so on by yourself and you want to become as perfect a player as possible by yourself before you ever actually get on the field and play the game of soccer." The result? You begin to believe that practising alone is the same as playing the game. This is the hidden danger Tim calls the self-help trap, the implicit belief that you must fix yourself, do the work, and polish yourself to readiness before you can meaningfully engage with other people, relationships, or family. The problem is that it never ends. There's always another edge to smooth, another flaw to address. The self becomes a project with no completion date. As Tim puts it: "You're always polishing this self and it can become this real recursive dangerous trap, this fixation on the self." The real game, relationships, family, community is learned by playing, not by preparing to play. The friction, the discomfort, the messiness of showing up imperfectly with other people is the development. You can't practise your way into readiness for it in isolation. The irony of self-help is that taken too far, it keeps you away from the very thing you're supposedly preparing for.

Who remembers this classic shooter from 35 years ago? SWIV (or "Silkworm IV" as called by some) from 1991. Graphics and sound effects were excellent for its time. But what I liked the most was that you could toggle through the power ups by shooting at them when they dropped. It added some extra fun and complexity, it allowed you to really improve (or mess up!) your weapons path. The game was considered a spiritual successor to Tecmo's arcade game Silkworm from 1989. The game's heritage is evident from the game design whereby one player pilots a helicopter, and the other an armoured Jeep. SWIV is not an official sequel, as noted by ex-Sales Curve producer Dan Marchant: "SWIV wasn't really a sequel to Silkworm, but it was certainly inspired by it and several other shoot-'em-ups that we had played and loved." If you listen closely to the sound effects, you will definitely hear a resemblance to "Silkworm." Sometimes I would just let the intro run endlessly - the music was simply too good!

I can’t believe a person you would put your trust into, marry them, have kids with them and they can do this to you! And then have the nerve to get mad when we choose the bear. It’s really sicko and weird. Would you want this to happen to your daughter or sister or mother? I’m at a lost for words. For the men who say they are our allies, you have a lot of work to do. Men who get offended by this it’s because you know what men are actually capable of. Either you are them or so ashamed you don’t want to admit it. But it doesn’t stop it from happening. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is known for being one of the greatest adventure games of all time, but what a lot of people missed was its unique PvP mode. This game gave you the ability to get very creative with combos and there was nobody better at showcasing this than CHECK. These short clips demonstrate the many different ways you can build your combos and how you can use the stages to alter your combo routes. This was just a fun game mode that was never taken seriously by players, but it is cool to see how much detail went into it and how much the systems inside it allowed you to express yourself. If we get a 3D Kollection, including this game is an absolute must. This game is what you would refer to as "lightning in a bottle".
