Prioritizing the civil defense and ambulance team during the famine is to enable them in saving lives. The Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project gave food to their team in the North daily and to the surrounding tents in Al Samer neighborhood in Gaza City. Support: 120 rice meals were given out weighing 800 grams each. The cost of each meal on August 2nd was $17.50 so the total amount was $2,100 with 10% commission. We recently found a kitchen running and serving potatoes and eggplants with tahini so we immediately purchased the whole amount, donate: We were so happy to find a meal with carbs and veggies to serve. The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine) ) team provided 8 pots to the Chalets Camp in Gaza City in Northern Gaza. Each pot cost $845 so the 8 pots in total cost $6,760 with 10% commission. Vegetables are sourced from local farms at incredibly high prices. Each pot provides 80-90 servings and depending on the size of pot can feed 4-7 people. People deserve not just nutrients but also taste and joy, support: On the 26th of July, The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) team distributed 300 meals of rice in Al Katiba camp in the universities area, in Al Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City. Each meal weighs 800 grams and costs $18.25 with 10% commission so the distribution cost around $5,475. These extremely high prices are because the goods are scarce. The amounts of rice we distribute depend on the availablity each day but your donations allow us to maximize distributions by buying everything we find. Hospital support across the strip is a priority to the Sameer Project, support here: As we all saw today Nasser hospital was bombed targeting medical staff, patients, journalists and civil defense workers. The military occupation continues to break international law with no impunity. On August 9th, the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project team distributed 450 meals of pastries to the patients and staff in Al Helou hospital in Gaza City. Each meal included 6 pieces with the following stuffing: cheese, salsa, potatoes, chocolate, thyme and daqqa (Palestinian spices). Our decisions with aid distributions are made with that aim in mind, support: Water is life and without water, certain areas in the Gaza are unlivable. So with the drop in donations, the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project decided to focus our water campaign to the areas in the far North like Jabalia and Beit Lahia, as well as Tuffah and Zaytoun daily. This will encourage the residents of those areas to come back and for those already there to stay. Our water campaign is an integral part of our work at the Sameer Project. From June 2024 till today, not a day has passed without us distributing water. We would like to increase our water distributions even more but for that we need your help. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x the Sameer Project team distributed 150 meals to the civil defense team, ambulance team and individual tents in Al Samer neighborhood in Gaza City, support: . Each meal cost $17.85 with 10% commission so total of $2,678. Each meal of rice weighs 800 grams so it’s enough for 2-3 people. With the ongoing imposed famine by the military occupation, a few bites of food, and especially carbs, is very difficult to obtain. We are hoping aid comes into Gaza so that we can return to serving thousands per day. Till then we continue to provide whats available and distributing to hospitals, frontliners and camps. You either pay to evacuate South, as ordered by the occupation, or you stay in the North and starve to death or get killed by the occupation’s bombs. This is the impossible choice families face. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project is still providing about 100,000 liters of water in the North. We are purchasing tents in the South at $1,100 each to give shelter to the forceful displaced. But there is too much of a need. We don’t have enough funds. Please help these families. Supporting orphans in Gaza is a priority for the Sameer Project, donate: This is why this week we did a jacket distribution in Zaytoun neighborhood in Northern Gaza. The Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x Sameer Project provided 62 waterproof jackets to children with the weather getting cooler. Each jacket cost $13.65 with 11% commission. In the heat and while exhausted, people wait in queues for hours for food. Sadly due to the ongoing famine, people push through to get a serving in fear of the food running out. Donate: The Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Palestine) target areas where limited aid reaches meaning that the levels of desperation are higher. We send extra team members to try and control the crowds and make sure no injuries happen and thank God so far, we have had no injuries. We distributed 7 pots of lentil and rice pots in the Yaffa School Shelter in Al Daraj neighborhood in Gaza city. Each pot cost $535 that includes 3% commission, so the total for 7 pots was $3,745. We continue our food initiatives in the North of Gaza where more than three quarters of Gaza’s population resides. With bakeries closed and aid distribution sites continuing to lure people to their deaths, communities rely on “takiyyas” to line up and receive a meal in a pot they bring with them. We supplied 4 pots of eggplant and a tomato broth at al-Fakhoura Camp, Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City. Each pot contains around 43 servings and each serving is enough for about 3 people, providing 1000 calories for each meal serving. We have been providing pots to various takiyyas around Gaza City daily. These pots were 1600 shekels each or nearly $460 each before labor and 3% commission for bank transfer fees. Again, we are running low on funds to continue at this pace, but the situation on the ground remains the same which will lead to many more hungry families without some of our assistance.
