That’s just devastating training accident or not, three lives lost like that is heartbreaking. Hoping the investigation brings real answers and that the injured driver pulls through. Amen 🙏

While the military prepares for war on the battlefield, they should also focus on preventing accidents at home—one faulty shell can cost lives. When did we accept that live-fire exercises could be a death sentence for our own troops?

Training accidents like this aren’t isolated, they expose how thin the margin for error is in modern militaries

A Chinese-made Type 59 tank suddenly exploded while firing during a Bangladesh Army live-fire exercise at the Hathazari training ground in Chittagong. Two soldiers inside the tank were killed, while another officer was seriously injured. The exact cause of the explosion remains under investigation. One initial possibility is an ammunition detonation, but there is not yet enough information to establish what triggered it. The Type 59 is an ageing tank based on the Soviet T-54 design and has been in Bangladesh’s armoured fleet for decades. The incident raises a broader question about maintaining and modernising ageing military platforms. Bangladesh operates a large inventory of Chinese-origin defence equipment, making this accident significant—but it would be premature to conclude that the tank’s Chinese origin caused the failure. The investigation will need to determine whether ammunition, maintenance, ageing components or another technical issue was responsible. #Bangladesh #China #BangladeshArmy #tank #Armyexercise

😳 Confused the accelerator and the brake — a car crashed into a swimming pool full of people In France, a 38-year-old woman drove her car at full speed straight into a public swimming pool during a training session. The cause was simple but frightening — the driver confused the pedals, The Sun reports. The incident happened in the town of La Ciotat. Her 5-year-old daughter was in the car. Two coaches and a passerby managed to pull them out of the vehicle. No one was killed, but the situation could have ended in tragedy — people were inside the pool at the time.

NYPD officers are increasing patrols outside a Kingsbridge McDonald’s three days after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed following an argument inside the fast-food restaurant, police said. Ring camera video captured the moment gunfire erupted on West 238th Street and Broadway, sending a group of teenagers running in fear. The shooting happened during rush hour, just steps from a busy bus stop. Police identified the victim as Christopher Redding, 16. Investigators say Redding and the gunman got into an argument inside the nearby McDonald’s before the suspect opened fire about a block away. Surveillance video shows four suspects - three males and one female - hanging out inside a nearby building before gathering near the bus stop moments before the shooting. Detectives say Christopher was struck along with two other teens, who survived their injuries. Police were seen patrolling both the McDonald’s and a nearby Wendy’s just steps from the 50th Precinct. Neighbors say the area is known for after-school clashes between teens.
