The rules: Agents must knock and announce between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. If occupants don't comply after a "reasonable chance," force is authorized. This applies to individuals with final deportation orders. It's already happening. In Minneapolis, agents used a battering ram to enter a Liberian man's home as part of "Operation Metro Surge." This is a very shady looking daycare in Minneapolis, Minnesota It’s called Daryel Adult Day Care The daycare is in a building that doesn’t look like it should be a daycare. Inside the daycare is just office space divided by black sheets. On the door is a notice to immigration officers and law enforcement officers that they are not welcome and not allowed to enter the building It also says “Administrative warrants, ICE detainers, subpoenas, or verbal requests do NOT authorize entry” This is very clearly fraud Daryel Adult Day Care is located at 1516 E. A former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement lawyer who was responsible for training new deportation officers warned lawmakers on Monday that the ICE training program is “deficient, defective and broken." Ryan Schwank testified in a forum held by Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Rep. Robert Garcia. “I am here because I am duty-bound to report the legally required training program at the ICE academy is deficient, defective and broken,” Schwank said. He testified that he had volunteered to take on an assignment in Georgia training new, inexperienced recruits. “On my first day, I received secretive orders to teach new cadets to violate the Constitution by entering homes without a judicial warrant. For the last five months, I watched ICE dismantle the training program, cutting 240 hours of vital classes from a 584-hour program,” he said. The Trump administration has worked to recruit, train and deploy new immigration officers at a rapid pace. ICE announced in January that it had hired more than 12,000 new officers in the past year, more than doubling its force. The recent fatal shootings of two U.S. citizens by immigration enforcement officers, as well as allegations of excessive force used against both immigrants and protesters, prompted Democrats to demand new negotiations over Department of Homeland Security funding and ICE tactics. Congress is still at a stalemate over any funding deal for DHS, as the partial government shutdown drags on.

The News Hour has confirmed that Border Patrol, not Immigration and Customs Enforcement, is primarily running the New Orleans operation. The Trump administration has used that strategy to crack down on immigration in several other cities this year. Elizabeth Landers reports.

I asked Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger’s office how exactly would ICE get a signed judicial warrant for illegal immigrants in the Fairfax County jail, like Abdul Jalloh, who is accused of murdering a Virginia mother. Spanberger’s office still has not responded. Earlier this week, Spanberger’s office said ICE should request a signed judicial warrant if they want Jalloh deported. Jonathan Fahey says that might sound reasonable, but isn’t reasonable, and that Spanberger is knowingly putting up roadblocks to prevent ICE from doing their job and deporting Jalloh, who has a lengthy violent criminal history. ICE says, “Section 287 of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides ICE officers the authority to arrest aliens without a judicial warrant. In fact, no judge in this country has the authority to issue a warrant for a civil immigration violation. Congress, by statute, vested this authorization solely to supervisory immigration officers. Local police officers don’t need a warrant when they encounter someone breaking the law in a public space, and the same holds true for ICE officers. Obstructing or otherwise interfering with an ICE arrest is a crime, and anyone involved may be subject to prosecution under federal law.”

ICE says it has taken hundreds of dangerous immigrants off the streets in Minnesota — and the agency accuses state and local officials of interfering with immigration enforcement, even letting suspects go free. Paul Schnell, the top corrections official in the state, told Nicole Sganga that it is a matter of policy for his department to “cooperate with ICE and ICE detainers,” and urged federal officials “to stop telling stories that are simply not true.”

Our law enforcement officers leave the safety of their homes every day so that we can return to ours. The toxic rhetoric coming from people like Tim Walz has resulted in a 1,300% INCREASE in assaults against ICE officers alone and MUST stop.
