Just look at the new Compositing in Blender 5.2. This is cool. Now the compositor can play sequence animation in real-time right in the compositor, and look at this, I'm doing color grading while the animation is playing. On top of that, the overall performance of the Compositor has grown a lot, and it now works at a level where you don't need to use DaVinci Fusion and can work fully in Blender. Because now Blender can definitely do that. Blender 🔶 This is an awesome update! Maybe you will think about adding the ability to move images in Compositing just by dragging them with the mouse, in some of the next updates...

Just look at the new Compositing in Blender 5.2. This is cool. Now the compositor can play sequence animation in real-time right in the compositor, and look at this, I'm doing color grading while the animation is playing. I'm oddly proud and stoked about this one - live video preview w/ audio of the Robotron AI training on the web. You can watch it live here: I started simple yesterday, a canvas I updated with a snapshot of the game that I pumped over a socket from an emulator session. That evolved into a video tag with a properly encoded video stream, and today I spent a full damned day almost adding audio and keeping it in sync with the game (which runs at an uncorked and unpredictable framerate). Assuming my machine can handle the load, it's available for viewing pleasure now at the link above :-) You have to click on the preview to enable the audio, and you can turn it off/on at the bottom of the page. Thanks to dsobeski for beta-testing it!

I can finally announce the project I've been working on with Joce ! Fondant is building a new app that brings avatars and vtubing to Web. Multiplayer lobbies for vtuber streamer collabs or just hangouts with friends, as well as character customization tools building up to a full creator. We are using a WebGL and WebGPU techstack, so part of the point is to provide a cross-platform alternative to the current Unity based app ecosystem, and also to build tools that people can use to create or modify characters without going through a DCC (Blender, Maya, etc). For now we're starting with the basics: multiplayer lobbies, VRM support, and some tools like merging accessories into existing VRMs in the quoted post, and transferring Custom Vertex Normals from proxy meshes. My role is stylized shaders and procedural character creation. I've been working on NPR Shaders and tools to help build and customize 3D anime characters in Blender for years. With WebGPU, we can bring it into Web. My hope is to build a full character customization system for the Web with next gen toon shaders, and also a matching set of tools in Blender for serious content creators. But it is early days still, and there's a lot to be done! Here's the latest WIP of the rig for fitting proxy meshes to new faces.

The Fondant Easy Custom Normals Blender addon 2.0.0 is out! We've added the Anime Face Proxy Normals tool I've been developing as a new tier to help fund further development ($10). Get it on Gumroad (link below.) The free tier Laplacian Smooth modifier has also received fixes and optimizations. The Normals Proxy is a set of rigged Curves + Geometry Nodes magic. Place it around your anime face and get clean toon shading fast (compared to other methods.) Easily adjust the shape with the rig for different expressions and poses, add it to your character's rig, and even shapekey it for expression keys!

I had the opportunity to test the new CLIP STUDIO PAINT 5.0 update. A new cool feature is the updated hand model, which is super fun to work with :D. Now it's more customizable, and you can add veins and even adjust the length of the fingernails 💅

Who can help me figure this out? With the 'legacy' Cloth in Blender you can add Hooks and stretch a mesh during simulation. With the same setup and the new Cloth Dynamics in Blender 5.2, it just pulls on the individual Vertices. What am I doing wrong? #B3D #Blender #Blender3D

It has finally happened - my first video guide on how to create electromagnetic openEMS simulations with Blender 🔶 is now available! This video guide will show you to first create geometries and specify ports in #blender3d , export them to openEMS, write a few python scripts, and then using geometry nodes to visualise and animate the results back in Blender. I don’t get why people are still spending weeks building online stores manually. This girl does the exact same thing in a minute, the AI builds the site by itself. It used to take a designer, a developer, a copywriter, and a couple of weeks to launch a product landing page. Now, that entire workflow has shrunk down to a single input field, and here is how it looks in practice: → Find a trending product on TikTok Shop, one with proven demand (in the video, it's a silicone face mask strap that’s been sold over 57,000 times). → Copy the product link. → Paste it into an AI landing page builder and within a minute, it generates a complete one-page site: description, images, and reviews. → Publish it to Shopify with a single click. → The same tool automatically generates ad creatives for Meta and Google, all that's left is to launch them. You don't even need to buy the inventory upfront: the supplier ships it directly to the customer. But here is the honest truth that these kinds of videos usually skip. Building the website is no longer the bottleneck -> now, everything hinges on product selection and advertising, which are actually the hardest and most expensive parts. AI eliminated the technical hassle, but it didn't eliminate competition or the need for an ad budget. That’s why a "store in a minute" is real, but "money in a minute" is not. 57,000 sales is a verifiable demand metric from TikTok Shop, so I kept it. There are no income claims in the post and there weren't any to begin with. Bookmark this 💾
