Crimes like burglary and threatening to kill will no longer be tried before juries in England and Wales under reforms announced today by the Justice Secretary, David Lammy. He told MPs the rising backlog of criminal cases had reached emergency levels and the court system was at risk of collapse. Barristers warned the changes would bring a "wrecking ball" to a system that had been in place for generations.

We also discussed the importance of stop and search in tackling knife crime. We are very fortunate to have Colin on board, he is a tremendous asset to Reform UK. #TwoTierJustice #ReformUK

This is not a conflict; it is genocide. To our leaders, NOW is the time for real protection, swift justice, reinforced security, and accountability. You were elected to safeguard your people, not to watch them perish. As pastors, we mourn, we pray, and we demand that the blood of the innocent be met with righteous action. May God grant Benue justice and end this reign of terror.

Justice is the very line from which the movement towards secure peace may begin. Weapons give physical protection, but it is justice that restores the sense of security to life that was protected with the strength of weapons. And justice also brings back the sense of predictability to all global relations. Every potential aggressor should know what awaits him if he ruins peace. It is justice that can ensure this. We have to do everything possible for the strength of justice so that justice provides real strength to our common security – security from aggressions and terror. And let everyone who destroys peace be truly afraid of facing trial in the Hague. I made this statement during the conference "Restoring Justice for Ukraine". It is taking place today in The Hague bringing together states and organizations working to achieve justice for Ukraine. The conference aims to assess progress in the investigation of Russian war crimes and in the coordination of international efforts for justice. #RestoringJusticeForUkraine
