This guy’s one of the most well-known faces on earth, multi NYT best-seller, and has built many $100M+ businesses. Fascinating person to talk to. Here are 7 brutally honest truths on wealth, success, and media leverage from my recent chat with Gary Vee:

Parents Are Destroying Their Adult Children If you still pay for your kid's life after 22, you're telling them you don't believe in them. Gary gets DMs from depressed 28-year-olds on their parents' payroll. They know they're failing, and it destroys them. Love your kids enough to let them struggle.

We've Rebranded Weakness The modern world has given people permission to not fight their problems head on. All we do is give our issues big names. Imposter syndrome is just insecurity with fancy marketing. Anxiety means you're inconvenienced. This deflection enables everyone to avoid doing the work.

Give Up Control Most business owners can’t scale because they involve themselves in everything. Gary only touches the first 10% (molding) and last 10% (closing) of projects. He disappears during the middle 80%. He calls it the 10-80-10 principle. Way more effective than micromanaging.

External Validation Is Poison Wanting to buy fancy stuff is the worst reason to start a business. Because when things get rough (and they will), you’ll give up the first chance you get. You can’t last long in the game if you don’t love it. The ability to buy stuff should be a perk, not the goal.

Making Millions Requires Freak Behavior 50 years ago, hitting $100k was the dream. Now? The goal’s $1M. But when you look at the numbers—only 1 in 1000 Americans make over $1M per year. It’s crazy rare. If you want to hit outlier numbers, you need to have outlier behaviors.

Being Patient Is Better Than Being Fast Social media makes people think they need to have their life figured out before 30. But that’s not how the world works. At 34, Gary started Vayner Media in a borrowed conference room because he couldn't pay rent. Good things are supposed to take time.

There’s only so much gold from @garyvee I can fit into a single thread (and believe me, there’s way more) If you want to watch the full convo, check it out here:

AI won’t just change how we work, it’ll reshape how we connect, choose, and even love.

Depending on your view point many have already married technology. Polygamous
