My mom’s neighbor used to yell at my nephew all the time for no reason, he was only 5 years old when it happened. It got so bad I wouldn’t let him outside by himself anymore. On more than one occasion she would move her car when we walked by as if she was trying to bump him with her mirror. I left work and went over there to visit and when I pulled up I saw my mom outside having a screaming match with the neighbor. My nephew was standing behind my mom and I could see he was crying. I looked at him, he was shirtless and was wearing swim trunks and rubber water shoes. I was very confused as to what she meant by inappropriate. I told her he’s a little boy running around a sprinkler, it’s hot out and he wasn’t even close to her property. She said she didn’t care, it was the fact that he was out there shirtless and he shouldn’t have had to see it if he was doing it in the back yard like he was supposed to. My mom then chimed in and said she didn’t have to scream at him like that, he’s only 5 years old. The neighbor threatened to call the cops if she saw him running around shirtless again I told her to be my guest, he’s not doing anything wrong. I ended up calling her son who I grew up with, he and I were friends but as soon as he was old enough he ran out and never came back. He said his mom hated kids, she even treated him badly when he was a kid too and that’s why he left when he did. I ended up installing cameras there to document what was going on incase this escalated further.

Here’s Rivers’ full confession from tonight’s LUX TOUR Confessional with ROSALÍA: “When I was in high school, there was a boy I really liked. We talked, but we were ‘just friends,’ and as time went by, we got to know each other more. He would ask me out, and it started becoming something more. Then, one day, he told me he liked me and felt the same way. I was so excited, so hopeful. His birthday was coming up, and there was going to be Pal Norte, a festival here. I spent months saving money to take him to the festival. I even did raffles and everything, because I was 13 or 14 years old. When his birthday finally came, I had prepared a surprise for him, organized everything, and planned a special moment. When I gave him the gift, he saw what it was and got kind of weird. Then he told me, ‘Oh, it’s just that I have a family commitment,’ or whatever. Something like that. But he had been saying for months that he wanted to go, so it didn’t make any sense. I said, ‘Okay, fine, nothing happened.’ Since I had the extra tickets, I told a friend, ‘This is your opportunity, come with me.’ She was going to the festival too, so we went together. We were about to leave when, guess who I ran into at the festival? Him. With someone else, all cuddled up, and I think they were holding hands. And the worst part? Do you know who it was? 🐋 Tay missed filming for 3 episodes, and for a while it was hard to keep in touch with the others, because everyone had been through a lot together. While I was away filming Scarlet in Chiang Mai, Daou was the one updating me. Then he texted to say goodbye, and I was like, “Wait, we were just getting close.” It felt like we were never going to see each other again. Back then, who would’ve known it was because Daou broke his finger, and there was that sign-pulling game, so he thought he couldn’t come anymore. I was honestly so shaken. I really felt like we were finally becoming close, and when he said he wouldn’t be there, I kept thinking, “Then who’s going to replace him?” So I told him, “Daou, please come.” And then the day Daou came back, his finger was still in a splint. I seriously respect him so much. His finger was hurting, and he still showed up. DAOU: Everyone, please don’t feel sorry for me. I wanted to come myself. Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. 🐰 something i was really grateful about is that before the unicef speech, i was really really nervous so i contacted namjoon hyung and i was like “hyung, i’m going here and i’m really nervous” 🐰 about 30 minutes before the speech, namjoon hyung suddenly called me and he was like “fighting! there’s a video i watch when i’m nervous, i’ll send it to you” and then he sent it to me 🐰 he said “the people there aren’t going to be nervous, they’re going to be relaxed and comfortable while watching you. you’re the only one that’s nervous there so be relaxed while doing it too.” and come to think of it, it was true! it felt like i was the only one that’s nervous was nervous; the atmosphere there was lighter and more cheerful than expected so i was able to feel light hearted because hyung cheered me on like that ❤️ 🐰 i was so nervous the night before that i couldn’t fall asleep till 5-6am because my heart was beating too fast 🐰 it was the first time in ages i was that nervous 🐰 but it ended well so that’s good 👍

I remember when I was young, around 10-11 years old. My parents were both asleep as was my brother. I heard a knock on the back door which was weird because who uses the back door at a stranger’s house? The kitchen window was close by so I take a look. It looked like a teenager but hard to tell because they had a hoodie with the hood up. I didn’t open the door but I did crack the window and asked them what they wanted. They replied they were lost and wanted to come in to warm up and use the phone. Even when it’s daylight I know never to let anybody in period that I didn’t know, but a stranger after midnight was weird enough. I said no because I didn’t know them. Then they said that hey knew my dad and that’s why he came by. I said that’s fine and all but I’m not letting you use our phone. This was before cellphones were widely used, we had a landline like most people. The person wouldn’t take no for an answer and I could sense he was getting angry. I went and woke up my dad, I told him there was somebody at the back door and that he said they knew him. He walked to the door and looked out and said he didn’t know him. But he did talk through the door and told him that he was calling the police and that he should just leave. The person just stood there until the police finally came and even they asked him what he was doing knocking on the door at that hour. He told them he was lost and thought this was a house of a family friend. The police told him my dad didn’t know him and made him leave. So was this a case of wrong house or was he up to something. It makes me still wonder to this day but I’m still glad I never opened the door.
