All the biggest dudes: “Single Arm Lat Pull-Downs using a Cable Tower absolutely BLEW my Lats up…well worth the small setup hassle!” All the smallest dudes: “Just do Barbell Rows and Chin Ups, bro…this setup is way too much” Lesson in there!

This dude is a freaking house holy shit

@balunard Only one word to describe him: Gargantuan

@balunard You can’t beat genetics!

@balunard Genetics + PEDs + smart/hard training + diet

The size of that dude’s leg is absurd

Ridiculous

Bro’s hamstrings are hanging like someone’s nut sack 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ridiculous lol

Damn!!

Yeah but he has dangly earrings

Lol didn’t even notice that

Did the work and set this up at the gym yesterday. Great workout, can’t wait to do them again.

Another game changer is the smith machine skull crushers You are welcome

Dude is super dense outside of being thickskis

Yeah he’s a unit

These are my favorite excerises for back day. The amount of stretch is insane. I ladder them up to a five count pause between pulls. I do them standing, but seated provides a better pull on the lower part of the lat.

That guys thighs have thighs

lol ikr

you will consistently see the biggest people doing three things for back >single arm cable pulldown or row with a support >assisted pull-ups (machine or band) >using straps/grips

Safe to say that this dude is not skipping leg day!!!!!!

My main lat exercise

Common Johnny W

I’ve tried multiple variations Dean. Nothing gets the stretch like the single arm cable pull. I actually feel a little sore after I do them.

Look at the legs on this dude!

Insane

A whole other species almost. What a machine!

Maybe I’m too anal about it, but I hate doing single arm/leg exercises. I feel like I get significantly more systemic fatigue for the same muscle stimulus. Might be placebo, not sure

I only sprinkle some in Mostly prefer bilateral

Same here. I do feel a better mind muscle connection with single arm though. Specifically on curls,

Thoughts on single arm using this?

It’s okay for a Lat / neutral grip row Not my favorite though

Absolutely love this exercise

I do a variation kneeling on one knee. Excited to give this a go though.

Much better with a bench for sure

I mean this is just a gayer, longer form of a pull-up. Do some weighted pull ups and you’ll get bigger quicker.

All the big dudes have smashed barbell rows until their lats were massive. They didn’t grow them from cable pulls. Fuck off.

Ummm yes and definitely no. Do the huge guys get huge from years of these or the boring classics ? are they experienced lifters who know how to rock a lat with any implement so it feels good to them regardless?

I’m sure the steroids helped blow your lats up more then the exercise lol.

2 questions 1) Are these fine done on knees? I get there’s less stability but less relative setup 2) how about using the lat pulldown but just using that same handle so it’s more vertical?

It’s considerably worse kneeling…the stability is a very big deal And it’s hard to pull off in an ideal manner because of how far under the cable you’ll be on that setup

That dude is too big to do a chin up

U never see the biggest guys doing chin ups because they can’t do them

Is a single arm pull-down on a lat pulldown cable, heavily reclined a decent alternative if this setup isn’t available?

Kind of but a lot of times you still get a pretty vertical upper arm

My gym has a machine for that

Same

Craziest shit ever. Suddenly I see ten of these posts a day. It's like a lat pull conspiracy

I only see fat ppl do this

This only works well if you’re on gear

Is it high to low? Best option or medium or where is best set up

A myriad of setups CAN work I generally prefer one that minimizes upper arm elevation to some extent though

This vs low pully if you had to pick one...?

can someone giv3 me combination of this ? like, other lat exercises to use with this one (sry bad english xd)

Are the kneeling version of these also a decent option? I’ve been doing them for a while but was curious how they compare. My gym is small and the few benches we have are often taken lol

The bench supported version blows them out of the water IMO, kneeling isn’t even worth doing It becomes a stability issue very fast as you progress

Results after the extra 3/10 setup effort for the bench supported version. Definitely felt way better. Now I just need to set up for better pump pics lol

Lat gains about to hit like CRACK

Look at this guys leg. You’d be stupid to think he’s not taking the kitchen sink. Yeah, I’m sure this specific exercise is what did it for him

Notice his face...the intensity and effort is still showing even though its a machine based isolation
