The axe makes survivors oblivious so they're technically not in your terror radius! Learned this the hard way by pairing dissolution with plaything

Pls I tried the same thing when I played him I was so confused

I would chalk it up to spaghetti coding somehow making Dissolution SOMETIMES work. I have that issue happen to me all the time

I really wish dissolution worked with it, I see no reason why the survivors need to have oblivious when they have the axe 😭 it’s one of my favorite designed perks and it needs a buff
