An update from me 👇

OK but please stop funding wars with the money we spend on Spotify

PR move. While the artists on your platform get paid in peanuts, you took the profits you made off them and invested $600million in Helsing military drones. Several big name artists took their music off the platform (Massive Attack, King Gizzard, among others) due to not wanting to support the idea of music profits going into war machines. Not a great look. I bet shareholders were behind this move haha. They needed to fix the bad optics

fun fact: you can see the spotify logo on daniel's forehead

Hell of a run, dude. Congrats. Can't wait to see your next chapter (and spotify's)

Unbelievable run. Congratulations!

Epic run - you lived and realized most of the dreams I had working on RealPlayer and RealJukebox way back. Loved seeing part of your early journey close up! Can’t wait to see where Gustav and Alex take things and what else you decide to build.

What a run! I will never forget the first time I used Spotify on my phone, one of the coolest experiences I've ever had with technology.

Iconic run! Gustav and Alex are brilliant 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Huge news, congrats!

Legendary run. Congrats Daniel!

Damn all the money in the world and my brother in Christ is still talking Svengelska 😀💪 keeping it real!

Congrats man. I still remembered when I set up a VPN in high school and used Spotify for the first time. All the songs, right there. Crazy how used to that kind of magic we've all become.

What a run you had junior, and @MartinLorentzon. Well done! Perhaps I can update my bio now.

standing in front of a guitar like you’ve ever even played a song in your life what a joke you are

What a run!! 🥰

Huge. As monumental as the audio-first shift in 2019. Excited to see what's next for you, also anyone who doesn't know Gustav should listen to the episode he did with Patrick on Invest like the best. Phenomenal thinker!

I was just enjoying your recording with @davidsenra — great to hear you’re following your own advice and finding the next challenge to be happy instead of staying content.

What an incredible leader, incredible company and incredible product that delights everyone daily filling ears and minds with joy! Thank you @eldsjal

Indeed, big news. Congrats @eldsjal and the Spotify team on a legendary run!

congratulations @eldsjal!

Big and emotional day for you and the company!💙 Time for the next generation to spread their wings and take it to 1B users. Whoever gets to 1B first, buys the other dinner 😊 🙌

I love your product, brand, and company. Thank you for creating something that felt impossible, yet works simply and delightfully, for so many people all around the world. You are a legend.

So you fixed music piracy by creating an alternative platform which still drastically undercuts the value of the music you rely on to run your business. Great stuff.

Thanks for everything you’ve done for the last 20 years and what you will continue to do for Spotify!

Buying @arsenal?

Congrats Daniel, wishing you the best in this next phase. And congrats to Alex and Gustav, some of the most competent people I’ve ever met 💪

🙏

Best wishes for your next 20 and thank you bringing @Spotify to our lives!

Congrats, what a privilege to be able to leave a role and have such confidence in those who are filling it. Sounds like Spotify is in good hands. Enjoy your less hectic schedule with family, Daniel, and maybe catch some in person Arsenal matches next year! COYG

Incredible run. Congrats!

get fucked , glad you’re gone !

This is super exciting, been a supporter since day 0. Keep it going

Huge! Congrats Daniel, it's a bittersweet moment. Excited to see what you build next. Also, that's a nice Les Paul Custom behind you there
