Why is Mr. Lakshmi Mittal and thousands of other millionaires leaving UK this year? Last year over 250k British nationals left the UK... and in the current year, almost 16k millionaires are expected the have left the UK... It's because of a major law that is proposed to be passed in the UK Parliament that none of the wealthy people like... To understand this, let's first understand why the Global Wealthy were in the UK to begin with... The Global Wealthy would go to the UK because the country had a Non-Dom Regime... which basically meant that all the incomes earned by UK residents in other parts of the world and all such capital gains would not be taxed... For example, in India, your global incomes are taxed if you are an Indian tax resident... Now there are three major changes that have happened that made millionaires pulled the trigger... 1/ In Oct 2024, the capital gains tax was increased from 20% to 24% 2/ In April 2025, UK abolished the Non Dom regime by which global incomes become taxable in the UK... and more importantly 40% inheritance tax becomes payable even on assets outside of the UK. 3/ And now the third issue... where the Govt is now proposing to levy a 20% exit tax on unrealised gains on these assets, which are not even sold, but only appreciated in value Now where are all these people going? Most of these people are now going to Dubai... No personal income tax, no wealth tax, no inheritance tax, no capital gains tax, no dividend tax... Absolute safety - no crime... and corporate tax is just 9% while you get all the first world facilities while being close to Asia as well as Europe. If you have to move somewhere globally, the best bet right now is the UAE.

** Sega Genesis 3D Engine Day 3 ** Blast Processing kicks In !! Converted the Line Drawing and Triangle drawing to 68k Assembly and gained 25% in the line drawing and 33% speedups in the triangle drawing vs C ( so far ) . The scheduler calculating the vertexs is still in C , just the drawing routines are now are in assembly . Possibly 5-10 % gains will come from the scheduler being in ASM also. The Line and Triangle drawing C code took some beating , it was surprising - particularly the line drawing to get a speed up over the C code in ASM. I guess its not too surprising as the C code was basically handling pointers and integers so I had to get exotic to find the speedups. Initially my ASM Line draw was 100% slower than the C code - the first pass conversion from C to ASM is always rough as its more about getting it working then refine later , but yeah 100% slower on first pass was brutal, after 4 hrs tweaking it was 25% faster than the C code so thats a good start - might get more yet. So added more squares and more triangles for load testing at the same frame rate. Its still not anything cohesive but right now focussing on performance in rendering to see how much can be pushed. As rendering will be the biggest cpu soak the faster that goes the better. The smaller triangles take about 1/3 the CPU time of the larger triangles at present so theres definately a fill rate limit vs the setup time to consider. The same would go for the squares been line framed - smaller ones would allow al lot more . #SGDK #SegaGenesis #SegaMegadrive

We've officially released and open-sourced HunyuanImage 2.1, our latest text-to-image model. The new model delivers on our commitment to balancing performance and quality. With native 2K image generation, HunyuanImage 2.1 is an advanced open-source text-to-image model.🎨 ✨ New in 2.1: 🔹Advanced Semantics: Supports ultra-long and complex prompts of up to 1000 tokens, and precisely controls the generation of multiple subjects in a single image. 🔹Precise Chinese and English Text Rendering with seamless image–text integration: The model naturally integrates text into images, making it suitable for a wide range of applications such as product covers, illustrations, and poster design to meet the needs of various fields. 🔹Rich Styles and High Aesthetic: Capable of generating images in various styles—including photorealistic portraits, comics, and vinyl figures—it delivers outstanding visual appeal and artistic quality. 🔹High-Quality Generation: Efficiently produces ultra-high-definition (2K) images in the same time other models take to generate a 1K image. HunyuanImage 2.1 uses two text encoders: a multimodal large language model (MLLM) to improve the model's image and text alignment capabilities, and a multi-language character-aware encoder to improve text rendering capabilities. The model is a single- and double-stream diffusion transformer with 17B parameters. We've also open-sourced the weights of the the accelerated version with meanflow which reduces inference steps from 100 to just 8, and PromptEnhancer, the first industrial-grade rewriting model that enhances your prompts for more nuanced and expressive image generation. Now, creators turn complex ideas—like posters with slogans or multi-panel comics—into visuals faster than ever. We’re just getting started. Stay tuned for our native multimodal image generation model coming soon. 🌐Website: 🔗Github: 🤗Hugging Face: ✨Hugging Face Demo:

🚨🇨🇳 U.S. NAVY IN PANIC: CHINA ARMS ITS MAIN DESTROYER CLASS WITH YJ-20 HYPERSONIC MISSILES New PLA footage has shown a Type 052D destroyer launching the YJ-20 hypersonic anti-ship ballistic missile for the first time publicly. Previously demonstrated aboard the larger Type 055, the weapon has now reached the class that forms the backbone of China’s surface fleet. 🔸 The YJ-20 is a boost-glide weapon capable of speeds above Mach 5, with its range estimated at up to 1,500 km. Its manoeuvring bi-conic glide body can strike ships at a steep, near-vertical angle, making interception far more difficult. 🔸 The missile was cold-launched from one of the Type 052D’s 64 universal vertical-launch cells, ejecting above the ship before its motor ignited. 🔸 More than 35 Type 052Ds are already in service, with additional ships under construction. Unlike the smaller Type 055 fleet, these destroyers are produced in large numbers and routinely operate across the South China Sea and Western Pacific. 🔸 The YJ-20 does not need to replace the YJ-18. A mixed load allows Chinese destroyers to combine long-range hypersonic attacks with sea-skimming cruise missiles, forcing carrier defenses to confront different speeds, trajectories and approach angles. 🔸 This is what makes the integration more important than a single launch. Hypersonic anti-ship firepower can now spread beyond China’s largest destroyers to a far more numerous class, creating more launch platforms and attack directions. 🔸 The Pentagon’s leaked Overmatch brief found that American warships such as the Gerald R. Ford were often destroyed in Taiwan war games. Giving China’s primary destroyer class a hypersonic carrier-killer makes those scenarios even harder for the U.S. Navy. The threat is no longer one rare missile aboard a handful of large warships. It is China’s mass-produced destroyer fleet gaining the ability to attack U.S. carrier groups from extreme range. What threatens U.S. carriers more: the YJ-20’s speed or the number of ships that can launch it?

Alan Watts on why meditation has no purpose: Alan Watts begins by explaining the first basic reason for meditation. It interrupts our constant internal monologue: "Now, obviously, if I talk all the time, I don't hear what anyone else has to say. And so in exactly the same way, if I think all the time, that is to say, if I talk to myself all the time, I don't have anything to think about except thoughts. And therefore, I'm living entirely in the world of symbols and am never in relationship with reality." But then Watts pivots to a deeper, more counterintuitive point: meditation, properly understood, has no purpose at all. He compares it to music and dancing: "When we make music, we don't do it in order to reach a certain point, such as the end of the composition. If that were the purpose of music, to get to the end of the piece then obviously the fastest players would be the best." The same applies to dance: "When we dance, we are not aiming to arrive at a particular place on the floor, as we would be if we were taking a journey. When we dance, the journey itself is the point. When we play music, the playing itself is the point." This is where Watts delivers his core insight about meditation: "Meditation is the discovery that the point of life is always arrived at in the immediate moment. And therefore, if you meditate for an ulterior motive, that is to say, to improve your mind, to improve your character, to be more efficient in life, you've got your eye on the future and you are not meditating." Watts argues the future is an illusion we chase at our own expense: "Because the future is a concept. It doesn't exist. As the proverb says, 'tomorrow never comes.' There is no such thing as tomorrow. There never will be. Because time is always now." He pushes back against how religion has framed contemplative practice: "Meditation is supposed to be fun. It's not something you do as a grim duty. The trouble with religion as we know it is that it is so mixed up with grim duties. We do it because it's good for you; it's a kind of self-punishment." Watts closes with what he calls the real essence of the practice: "It's a kind of digging the present. It's a kind of grooving with the eternal now and brings us into a state of peace where we can understand that the point of life. The place where it's at is simply here and now."
