Yesterday, on May 30, 2025, Kolkata Police unlawfully entered Sealdah Railway Station, harassed innocent passengers, forcibly checked identities in order to identify sacked Teachers, beat up commuters indiscriminately and forcibly detained Teachers who were simply commuting, not protesting or agitating within the Sealdah Station premises. These teachers, victims of the 2016 SSC Recruitment Scam, planned a peaceful march to Nabanna but were met with excessive force, including manhandling and dragging into prison vans like hardened criminals. This is a blatant violation of Railway Jurisdiction under the Union Ministry of Railways and an attack on democratic rights. This isn’t the first time, similar overreaches occurred in 2022 (BJP’s Nabanna Abhijan) at several Railway Stations across West Bengal and at Metro Stations in 2023-24 to suppress protests of TET Candidates and other deprived eligible WB Govt Job Seekers. Despite raising this with the Sealdah DRM, no action has yet been taken. So, I’ve urged Hon’ble Railway Minister; Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji to intervene and ensure such violations by Kolkata Police & West Bengal Police stop immediately. The rights of passengers and the sanctity of Railway premises must be protected, it can't be a allowed to be turned into a platform where Kolkata Police & West Bengal Police trample upon democratic freedom at will. End of an era! The last public service of non-AC double decker coaches of the iconic Flying Ranee Express train entering Mumbai Central station this morning. From this evening of 16 July 2023, the train has been upgraded with LHB-class upgraded version of coaches, but sadly will not be a double decker. Could not miss the historic last run of the double decker coaches for anything. They were introduced on the train on 18 December 1979, exactly 43 years six months 29 days. The only double decker train to remain now is the Valsad Fast Passenger, operated by Western Railway.

Reason is alleged to be that the passenger train was directed on a loop line instead of the main line. This DEMOLISHES the ridiculous theory being propagated by Rail Min Ashwini Vaishnaw since weeks that “train derailments are being done by ISIS terrorists”. An anti-collision system like KAVACH would’ve prevented this mishap. But guess what - KAVACH is operational on LESS THAN 2% of Indian Rail network despite the technology being introduced in 2016. It’s taken the Modi Govt 8 years to cover just 2% of the network. The mysterious questions are: 👉 WHY is rail safety being ignored constantly & shamelessly by the Modi Govt? 👉 Why does Ashwini Vaishnaw continue to be rail minister despite an accident happening almost every week? 👉 Why does India NOT HAVE A FULL-TIME Rail Minister? 👉 Why is Modi in a rush to launch new “high speed” trains everyday when the safety of railways is rock bottom making these trains extremely risky? Railways is being ignored because it’s mostly the poor & lower middle class who travel on it. This shameless disregard for the lives of lakhs of Indians is pathetic. The pathetic condition of Indian Railways currently wouldn’t be acceptable in any civilized democracy. What exactly is the sinister game of Modi & Ashwini Vaishnaw? #WATCH | Pushpak Express accident | Mumbai: CPRO Central Railway, Swapnil Nila says, "Near Pachora in Jalgaon Pushpak Express which was coming from Lucknow towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, an incident of alarm chain pulling occurred. After this incident, a few passengers deboarded the train. At the same time Karnataka Express was crossing through there and going in the opposite direction, we have come to know that a few passengers were hit by that train. As primary information, 7-8 passengers have suffered injuries. We have taken the help of local administration to take care of them. We have also sought help from nearby hospitals. Railway's accident relief medical van has also left from Bhusawal and it will reach the site soon... Karnataka Express has resumed its onward journey and Pushpak Express will resume the journey after help is provided to injured passengers."

Because of him, the approaching train had to slow down. Had it not slowed down in time, he could have been run over and killed. Why do people behave in such an idiotic manner? If an accident had happened, people would have blamed the government!!
