Here's a look at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal helipad which the الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني just approved designs for to be the UAE's first hybrid heliport. A hybrid heliport is a location that both helicopters and eVTOL aircraft like Midnight can land at. By hybridizing an existing facility, we can lean on airspace regulations, zoning and structures that already exist. This approach significantly reduces the cost and time required to prepare infrastructure to support commercial operations when compared to building a vertiport from scratch. We look forward to working with Falcon Aviation to transform this location into the first site ready for eVTOL aircraft operations in the country and appreciate the GCAA's ongoing support for our commercialization efforts in the UAE!

Over the past few months, our Midnight program has consistently delivered strong results. We're now routinely flying longer, faster & higher as we expand the aircraft’s operational envelope. Recent flights have exceeded 55 miles, more than 30 minutes of flight time, altitudes up to our 10,000-foot service ceiling, and speeds in excess of 150 miles per hour. These missions are providing valuable certification data, while closely mirroring the majority of mission profiles we expect in early urban deployment environments. Our next flight test phase with Midnight will be piloted VTOL, including full transition flights with our type certification intent four-blade aft propellers. Unlike the CTOL envelope that we are now close to completing testing on, the VTOL and transition flight regimes are not new for Midnight, as we have previously completed an extensive flight test campaign with Midnight without a pilot onboard. Our progression from non-piloted VTOL to piloted CTOL to piloted VTOL & CTOL campaigns is optimized for safety and disciplined execution that builds our readiness for commercial operations. The momentum continues to grow, and the team continues to deliver.

We’ve entered the next phase of our flight test program, showcasing piloted Midnight flight, as well as CTOL capabilities. The piloted flight featured a conventional take-off and landing (CTOL) demonstrating the robustness of Midnight’s landing gear which is capable of performing both vertical and conventional take-off and landing operations. Through our design and certification process, our team, government regulators and our customers, both civil and defense, have identified the importance of being able to conduct both vertical and conventional take-off and landing as part of normal operation of the aircraft as having CTOL capabilities in addition to VTOL provides operational flexibility and enhanced safety. Crews continue snow clearing operations on runways, taxiways, and apron areas. We are working with our airline partners to support operations and advise passengers to check their flight status directly with their airline before travelling to the airport.
