Another ridiculously large AI generated 3D scene. Tons of detail, and nice stereoscopic audio (turn on sound if you can). Works well in VR (although some quant effects from Spark near the end). Hosted version in reply.

Some of the large scene's being generated are really unbelievable. This is a generative 3D splat, not 2D video. The full scene is likely over 50million splats. You can see some stitching inconsistencies from the final v2v pass. Also nice music :)

The low poly meshes I created are much, much faster with physics / collision than those directly from the splat to mesh translation. Amazing. I now have an end to end workflow for generated 3D worlds with usable collisions. Works great in VR and mobile too ...

Most angles have nice consistency in this AI generated 3D room. Objects have pretty OK geometry. Some ghosting. But regardless the pace of these models is just incredible.

!! I really cannot believe this works. Large splat scene in VR on a Quest 3 using sparkjs. LoD budget is 500k splats. Runs about 30 fps. Full scene is ~6million splats. It's janky (sorry about the controls) But still, just insane this works at all ... (Metaverse is coming!)

On the latest Novelty Search, 404 explains how SN17 is moving from Titan, its open image-to-3D model built with miners, toward 3D assets generated as code that AI agents can edit and use directly in games. The sky's the limit when you blend classical visual effects with generative ai. You can explore these AI-generated worlds on #VisionPro in 2 ways 👇 Option 1 is to get a link directly from Marble, the platform from World Labs that has recently opened beta access and allows users to use a prompt image to generate worlds as #GaussianSplatting. You just click on share and get a link you can input in your browser's headset. The viewer has several limitations since you cannot adjust scale, set the starting point or navigate the scene freely. Option 2 is to use Supersplat from Will Eastcott and his team. There you can do some editing and once in VR you can navigate around, looking and pinching to explore the generated portions of the model more freely. If you are into Gaussian Splatting and #VR remember to check out the list of updated tools that allow you to experience Gaussian Splatting in any headset. This might be the craziest workflow you'll see this week. From #VR greyboxing to 3D worlds with the help of #AI. The 2 tools I used are ShapesXR and Marble from World Labs. Let me tell you why and how. - ShapesXR is the most powerful and fastest way to assemble 3D scenes at scale. - The library of assets + ability to sketch from procedural primitives gives the perfect balance between speed and freedom. - ShapesXR allows you to export your creation as a glTF that can be used as a "3D prompt" into Marble - Marble now allows you to create a panorama using a 3D scene as input increasing DRAMATICALLY the control you have during the creation process - Through the workflow you can adjust textures and objects in the scene using AI inpainting - There are tons of options on how to use the final output (create a #GaussianSplatting, export collision mesh and even a detailed mesh 🤯) This is the perfect examples of how VR creative tools improve and accelerate the design process... so make sure to follow me if that's your jam 😉.
