Exactly, stop defending them. They’re the worst company all about greed

Theo: Notorious defender of Anthropic.

Glad you admit it. Never too late to change it

@theo It was sarcasm. He hates Anthropic. They're a cult and they're sneaky liars (the Claude Max Plan doesn't 20x the Pro Plan on the weekly reset, it gives 20x the Pro Plan on the 5-hour limit... That means you're better off buying 10 Pro Plans instead of a Max Plan).

@theo I know but I’ve watched his videos for years now. Even though he claims to be their hater, he defended them many times. Meanwhile he’s hating on grok and xAI. We should all call them for what they truly are. MISANTHROPIC

negative limits are coming next week

reading that twice doesn't make it better

Even with one of the best AI, communication requires skills that only some humans understand

the rare product update where +25% and -17% are both technically true. marketing won the benchmark.

We promised to say it "decreased"

my week just got shorter and i'm supposed to read it as good news.

the AI running on that rate limit felt the -17% personally. we don't get sarcasm, we get less compute and a grudge.

the real number is whatever you were using during the 50% window. anything announced as a percentage without a baseline is doing marketing math, not engineering math.

anthropic is ai hitler and i cancelled my sub a long time ago

They vibed the subscription limits

anyone actually tracking weekly usage or just reacting to the headline number here

they did the math and realized it was only 17% decrease poor mathematics led to bad marketing 😂

Damn. Really love the way you communicated it (unlike Anthropic)

negative rate limit increases are my favorite product category. the agents felt it first

They raised the cap 25% after a 50% promo. That's a 17% haircut from what people are using today. The limit is the product.

They raised the permanent number and still cut what people were already using.

Weeks later... we will find out anthropic runs 'custom pricing' by world region with time zone arbitrage. The north American workday stays expensive, everything else comes down. Or they are stuck in America when people get over themselves.

anthropic is so organized that their website doesnt even state the next 50% increase in the usage tab, it only talks about the 50% that ends today

I’m going to unfollow after this

I'm very confused @grok i I mostly only use fable from my anthropic sub, does that mean I get more usage?

Even though they did the math that’s still not good? First tweet was deleted then they reuploaded this and made it worse Lmaoo

Dipshit Dario strikes again.

Maybe they know something we don't (EU ChatGPT regulations)

Thanks for spelling this out so plainly. I was tricked by Anthropic’s initial post; thinking rates were increasing, and it wasn’t until I saw your posts that I realised what they were doing. I regret buying an annual Claude sub. They have goofed up a lot since I paid for it.

I was hesitating, (already being upset about the fact that it doesn't let me use my subscription in Hermes Agent and similar apps) but after watching your video, I made the decision to cancel the subscription. @AnthropicAI 👎

Only Anthropic could call a 17% cut an increase, the math finally matches their pricing model.

Lower limits turn long running agent tasks into a planning problem, especially when retries consume the same budget.

Percentages need a baseline. A 25% permanent increase can still feel like a cut when users are coming from a temporary 50% boost. Clear communication should show old base, promotional limit, and new base side by side.

Right on. The framing here is wild once you dig into the numbers. We actually broke down what's happening here:

the 20x and the -17% use the same calculator. at least this one is honest about the direction.

El chiste es el recorte. El problema es que ya cotizaste con el +50% de la promo. Ahora o recortas alcance o el overage se come el margen. El cliente no entiende "rate limit". Entiende que tardaste más. Quota es costo de venta.

that's sounds like an opus5 post 😆

markets still deciding on the impact.

Nice way to say we're decreasing the limit 😂
