When Politics Denies Water: How the PTI-Initiated Chapri (Mianwali) Dam Water Supply Project Remains Stalled While 143,000 People Continue to Suffer: For generations, the people of the Khattak Belt in Tehsil Isa Khel, District Mianwali, have lived under the shadow of a severe and persistent drinking water crisis. The core Khattak Belt comprises the Union Councils of Tabi Sar, Tola Bangi Khel, Chapri, Kot Chandana, Sultan Khel and Wanjari. However, the wider area affected by this crisis and intended to benefit from Chapri Dam Water Supply Project extends across 87 villages&8 Union Councils, encompassing a population of approximately 143,752 people. Despite decades of promises, surveys, announcements&official acknowledgements of the problem, thousands of families continue to be deprived of reliable access to clean and safe drinking water. In many villages, residents remain dependent upon stagnant rainwater ponds& natural depressions, often shared by both humans&livestock. Women, children&elderly citizens are frequently forced to travel long distances under harsh weather conditions simply to collect water for their households. The same contaminated ponds serve as the only source of water for both people and animals. Situation is further aggravated by fact that groundwater lies at a depth of 800 feet and is often contaminated by harmful mineral deposits, rendering it unsuitable for human consumption. For countless families, access to safe drinking water remains a daily struggle rather than a basic right. What should be readily available in any modern society has become a constant source of hardship, anxiety and suffering. The consequences of this deprivation extend far beyond inconvenience. Unsafe water sources expose entire communities to waterborne diseases and serious health complications, undermine human dignity and place an enormous burden on already vulnerable households. Children grow up in conditions where access to clean water cannot be taken for granted, while women bear the disproportionate burden of securing water for their families. In a country where access to safe drinking water should be guaranteed, thousands of citizens continue to live in circumstances that no community should be forced to endure. Recognizing the gravity of this longstanding humanitarian crisis, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Chapri Dam Water Supply Project in 2020 as a comprehensive and permanent solution to the chronic water shortage affecting the Khattak Belt and adjoining areas. The project was designed to deliver clean and safe drinking water to more than 143,000 residents through the construction of reservoirs, filtration facilities, transmission lines and an extensive distribution network supported by gravity-fed systems and solar-powered pumping stations. For the people of Isa Khel, this was far more than a development project. It represented hope, dignity and the prospect of finally ending a crisis that had persisted for generations. It was the first serious large-scale governmental initiative aimed at permanently resolving one of the most pressing humanitarian challenges facing the region. Following its launch, substantial progress was achieved and approximately Rs. 3.5 billion of public funds were invested in the project's execution. Significant portions of the infrastructure were completed, bringing the project within reach of transforming the lives of tens of thousands of residents. However, following the change in government, progress slowed dramatically and the project remains incomplete due to the non-release of the remaining funds required for its completion. Current PMLN Government in Punjab led by Maryam Nawaz wants to maintain status quo, they feel the project was introduced by Imran Khan and its completion will help PTI. Without realizing its 143,000 people suffering from non-availability of drinking water. This is pure political victimization.

FG Flags Off Benin–Asaba Expressway: A Landmark in Private-Financed Infrastructure Development The Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with Africa Plus Partners, has officially flagged off the 125km Benin–Asaba Expressway Project in Edo State—an ambitious, dual-carriage, solar-lit superhighway that is fully financed by the private sector under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. Speaking at the event, the Honourable Minister of Finance & Coordinating Minister of the Economy Mr. Wale Edun described the project as a milestone in infrastructure financing. “What you see on the front page of the pamphlet will be delivered—because the cash is there,” he affirmed. “This is not reliant on direct federal funding. Africa Plus Consortium, backed by credible investors, has put forward the full capital commitment under the enabling policies of President Bola Tinubu.” This flagship initiative is part of the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, demonstrating how strategic partnerships can unlock long-term value for the economy. Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi described the project as a cashless model. Governor of Edo State Senator Monday Okpebholo, standing in for Mr. President, lauded the financing structure. “This is a legacy project. We received leaflets from the IDF, telling everyone in North Gaza to evacuate. We are supposed to go to Khan Yunis, but neither the journey nor the destination is safe. We are all terrified as they have been violently and constantly been bombing in all of North Gaza. We're terrified, and we also don't know what to do. Where do people go when nowhere is safe? There are no safe spaces in Gaza. Meanwhile the situation here is getting worse. The bombing will remain constant, and the army will be approaching on the ground. Tanks will be nearer, there will be more snipers. On top of this, as you already know my dear friends, we're all starving or malnourished. We are exhausted from the lack of sleep, some families haven't had food in weeks, some people are so desperate, they try to get food at the drop offs where they shoot you, and we hear more and more accounts of people who either know they have eaten drugged food or suspect they have. It's all so grim, I barely feel you can understand how this is real what I'm telling you. But you can see for yourself my friends. The reports from Gaza are just incomprehensible. I never thought I'd see and live surrounded by this kind of evil, terror and despair. Will you please donate or spread my messages to help me prepare for the newest shade of the worst? 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 — 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀. Most robot learning systems assume failure is the end of learning. In our new work, we study whether robots can improve after deployment by learning from their own failures, without any human intervention, teleoperation, or corrective labels. The key idea is simple: human videos contain structure about how the world works. We use them to learn cross-embodiment representations of action, dynamics, and value, enabling a shared predictive space between human behavior and robot experience. This allows a new learning loop: 👉 pretrain on human videos 👉 deploy robot policy 👉 observe failures 👉 reinterpret failures using human priors 👉 improve autonomously We evaluate this across 7 real-world manipulation tasks, showing: 📈 40% → 81% success rate 🏆 Strong improvements over π0.6 RECAP and RISE ✔️ Zero human intervention during post-deployment improvement 🧬 Generalizes across robot embodiments and policy backbones A key finding is that explicit failure repair significantly outperforms failure reweighting, yielding substantially larger gains under identical data conditions (+25 pts vs +5 pts on the same π0.5 base policy). Overall, the results suggest a shift in how we think about robot learning: Human videos are not only for pretraining policies. I went a little overboard with Codex last week and burned through my entire weekly allowance in two days. Luckily, my quota reset today. Otherwise, I’m not sure what I would’ve done. It got me thinking: instead of asking one large model to handle everything from start to finish, why not let a stronger model plan the project and review the work, while a model built for execution handles the day-to-day implementation? So I tried it. The result was better than I expected. I used GPT-5.6 Sol in Codex as the decision-maker, then ran Ling-3.0-flash from Ant Ling inside OpenCode as the execution engine. Together, they built a small 3D farming game. Before writing any code, I had Codex create four documents: SPEC.md defined the product scope and the lines we couldn’t cross. ARCHITECTURE.md laid out the isometric coordinate system, state machine, and module boundaries. TASKS.md broke the project into small jobs Ling could tackle one at a time. ACCEPTANCE.md explained how each step would be tested and what “done” actually meant. Then I gave Ling a very straightforward role: You are the execution model for this project. Read all four documents before you begin. Work only on the task assigned for this round. When you’re done, run typecheck, test, and build. If anything fails, read the error, fix it, and run the checks again. Do not move on to the next task early. Ling handled dependency installation, project structure, strict TypeScript configuration, test setup, and a production build in 6 minutes and 3 seconds. It ran into issues with the Vite test config, a TS6310 error, and a missing jsdom dependency along the way. Instead of stopping at the first error, it kept reading the logs and fixing the problems until all three checks passed. The speed was honestly hard to believe. If you exclude the time spent waiting on tools, it was producing more than 100 tokens per second. That made the whole development loop feel noticeably faster. After this experiment, I’m planning to keep using the same workflow. If the task is small, there’s no reason to call an expensive planning model for every single step. If the task is large, handing the entire project to a Flash model in one prompt isn’t a great idea either. The setup that makes more sense to me is: Use a more capable model such as Codex to explore the project, make architectural decisions, and break the work down. Put the constraints into specs, schemas, types, and tests instead of leaving them buried in chat history. Give Ling-3.0-flash a steady stream of clear, verifiable implementation tasks. Report bugs with structured context and actual error logs, rather than saying, “It still doesn’t work.” Bring Codex back in for architecture reviews, visual checks, and changes that affect multiple parts of the project. The point of this setup isn’t to give AI a big “build the whole project” button. It’s to turn software development into a pipeline with a much more sensible cost structure: Codex figures out the plan, sets the boundaries, and catches problems. Ling-3.0-flash moves quickly, calls tools reliably, and works through well-defined tasks at scale. For agent workflows that involve lots of repetitive edits, production tasks, and tool calls, this may be a more practical answer than simply using the biggest model for everything.

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. The ATG School One-Pager I’m not trying to reinvent schooling. There are just a handful of things I believe in which I haven’t seen in any school I’ve been around as a student or parent. Policy #1: Each student gets to be responsible for growing some of their own food, no matter how small, and THROUGHOUT schooling (not just a quickie project here or there). Policy #2: Minimum 1:1 ratio of time NOT SITTING IN THE CLASSROOM. What you do with this is up to you. There are so many real world skills, sports, gardening, music, etc. The strict ratio in the school day is the key for me. Common sense and personal interests can take it from there. Policy #3: Daily time to read whatever you want to read about. The biggest barrier for my reading was INTEREST. Be there to ensure the book is at their level, and to help them if they don’t understand something. Other than that, LET THEM ENJOY READING, ALL THE WAY THROUGH SCHOOL, not just in early years. Policy #4: (This is the most unusual yet the biggest reason I’m in education.) High school is a 50/50 bridge to winning in real life. Mornings are for actual work, making and SAVING UP MONEY. Afternoons are for learning finances and professional skills of YOUR INTEREST. With average work, you’ll finish school with $50,000-$100,000 in the bank, more skills than the norm, and a greater chance of creating your life and work from there on out, rather than conforming to make a paycheck. Policy #5: As part of the high school 50/50 system, ensure each student learns the adult financial red tape in your state/country before you’ve got bills, kids, etc.

Let's talk about agentic product design. Every company has its own design process. What has always worked for me is spending long studio hours with our product team, dissecting things into pieces and putting them back together. In those sessions we look at value, usability, simplicity, aesthetics, behavior, storytelling, generics, and emotional mapping. I've been crafting products this way for as long as I can remember. Product work at Lemonade isn't for the faint of heart. This obsession over every detail is hard work, but I believe it yields better results and builds stronger talent. One of the things I love about our design and product team is how this process became a second nature to them. Feedback is fast, professional, and tension free. But in our latest session, something was different. One of our designers used Figma and Cursor to build a mockup that was so advanced, it was almost ready to be shipped. It was an incredible glimpse into a world where a single designer working on top of modern low code infrastructure will be able to launch production grade experiences for products with millions of customers, and with LoCo, I expect this to become a reality at Lemonade in just a few quarters. But there's a problem to watch out for. An interesting phenomenon I've noticed over the years is that the higher the fidelity of the work being reviewed, the more defensive people become. When someone shows up with something polished, they tend to resist feedback. They've already fallen in love with what they built, and it's hard for them to accept rejection. Radical candor feedback works best at an early stage of the project, before people get attached and feel the need to defend their work. This session was no exception. Because the work was so advanced, the review became binary, and its maker became defensive. Happily, we all caught ourselves in time to acknowledge this new dynamic and started figuring out how to go back to obsessing about every corner radius, shade of white, and word. When reviewing agentically coded designs, we'll try having our designers bring in more than one option, as well as the open Cursor project so we can make changes in real time if needed. We'll see how it goes, and if this is of interest, I'll update what we learn.

Been building this little brand for almost three years now with Grant Eastey and Ejay ODonnell. That’s my wife and I packing our first orders in our tiny garage that couldn’t even fit a car. But in the end the garage found its purpose. There’s something special about just going for it. We just wanted to make some hats for dads that we didn’t see out there for ourselves. Everything else was dad bod humor, mowing the lawn, ugly sneakers, etc. Being a dad is so much more than that. Being a dad really isn’t any of that funny stuff. That’s just the weird brand social media has given us. We’re about to cross half a million hats sold soon and still see ourselves in that tiny garage. Just trying things. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. Looking back at my time in that tiny garage I miss it. The excitement of a new idea forming. Hand packing every order and writing notes. Not caring if it works but trying and having fun. Seeing what happens and doubling down if it works. The brand has become so much more than we ever imagined. I don’t enjoy the notion of becoming a “DTC brand”, just become a brand. Become a community and movement. You should see the notes we get from customers saying our hat helped them become better parents, our hat helped them keep trying to have children, our hat brought their kids joy when their dad passed away, our hat showed up and changed the life of someone deciding if they wanted to go on. I don’t care about the metrics. Obsession over CAC and ROAS won’t create this. Building something with meaning is so beyond any of the acronyms we see here on a regular basis. At the end of the day it’s all about trying. You just need to try. It’s as simple as that. I used to think there’s so much to risk by trying. At the end of the day it’s usually ego or fear. And two things are true. Ego decisions are solely based on your perception of what you’ll look like to others, which will never matter in the end. The second thing is fear. Fear usually only lives within YOU. Nowhere else. You make it up and decide how to act from it. Greatness is on the other side of fear. There’s no pressure over here. I was born into project buildings in Poland. “Making it” happened long before the brand started. Making it was getting out of Poland and into the US at the age of 7. On our pod yesterday Nate Lagos📈 asked me why I even stay on X when having a successful brand. The answer is simple. I personally want to give away as much free game as possible. I don’t know it all, not even close. But I want to help others break through and get their ideas into motion. Everyone is charging for courses and slack access. I get it, but it’s not how I care to move. There’s plenty to go around for everyone and if I can help then I’d love to. Gate keeping is weird. Pass it on. Help others win. 🐾😸I'm happy to tell you that today I was able to buy more tinned tuna for the cats, and the cost was the lowest it's been in months. This is thanks to the wonderful friends who have continued their support for us, and I want to sincerely thank you all. I can't explain enough how wonderful it feels when I can feed more of the hungry cats I see around. Since the war stopped, many animals have wandered back into our streets, and they are starving and urgently need our help. They are constantly on my mind, especially at night in the cold. They barely have any body fat to keep them warm, and the nights are starting to become unbearably cold. This also makes me think of all the poor people living outside, some in tents and some without, freezing and hungry. We want to help them, my friends, please do not hesitate to donate towards our cause so we can help them and the animals too.
