The key factor is our partners’ ability to ensure Russia’s readiness not to deceive but to genuinely end the war. Because right now, Russian strikes have not stopped. Around a hundred “Shahed” drones attack Ukraine each night. Missile strikes are regular. Some of our civilian infrastructure and ports have been hit, unfortunately, including in Odesa. We have done a lot to transition the Ukrainian Air Force to a new aviation standard – Western combat aviation. From the beginning of this war, we have been talking with our partners about the need to close the Ukrainian sky from Russian missiles and aircraft. We have held hundreds of meetings and negotiations to strengthen the capabilities of our aviation, air defense, and Defense Forces. We often heard the word "impossible" in response, but we made possible what was our ambition, our defense need, and now – it is a reality in our sky. F-16s in Ukraine. We ensured this. I am proud of all our guys who are skillfully mastering these aircraft and have already started using them for our country. I thank our team for this result. After the talks in Jeddah and the American proposal for a ceasefire on the frontline, Russia stole almost another week – a week of war that only Russia wants. We will do everything to further intensify diplomacy. We will do everything to make diplomacy effective. But every day now is about defending our independence, our state, and our people. We must remember – it is the support of our army, all our defense and security forces, and our state that determines everything. Russian losses just since the start of this counter-offensive – in the Pokrovsk area alone, in these past weeks – are already more than 2,500, of which over 1,300 have been killed. Ukraine is rightfully defending its positions and its land. This is a heroic defense. I am proud of our warriors. I am proud of our people. Even Hamas shows deal-making acumen, but not Putin. For now. Together with our partners, we are creating the conditions to compel Russia to peace. And it will happen. As a result of negotiations and meetings in France, we now have new decisions from France and the United States regarding Ukrainian defense. I thank our friends. There is progress in artillery, including the manufacture of 155-calibre artillery ammunition in Ukraine. A new production platform is being prepared. We will also have greater combat aviation and electronic warfare capabilities. I am grateful to France and President Macron for taking the initiative and supporting our proposals for soldier training and brigade provision. Together, we are laying a new, systemic foundation for the training of Ukrainian army units. We maintain active communication with all of our partners at all levels. The first Peace Summit will take place in just a week. There will also be important meetings and talks with European leaders to strengthen our resilience and protection against Russian terror. We have already reached agreements with partners on additional air defense systems for Ukraine. Some will come to fruition sooner, while others will materialize closer to the autumn. I am grateful to every leader and state that practically supports us. New security agreements for Ukraine are also almost prepared. These are the months for making strategic decisions. In May, our battlefield capabilities were expanded, including long-range ones. In June, our diplomacy and strategic perspectives should be strengthened, and everything possible should be done to bring a just peace closer and to strengthen Ukrainian society.
