The image you've chosen to represent Nigeria does not reflect the country fairly. With so many beautiful landmarks and modern cityscapes, this choice sends the wrong message. Please update it to one that truly represents Nigeria. A Nigerian and Concerned Google Maps User

This is the kind of AI upgrade that can make everyday life easier. Combining real-time information with more personalized, context-aware assistance could turn maps from a navigation tool into a true travel and planning companion.

Use AI to fix your ridiculously inaccurate road closure process. Does anyone at Google understand how badly you're getting beaten by legacy TomTom and HERE when it comes to the accuracy of road closures?

Here’s how AI Mode and Google Maps’ Ask Maps can help you find and book the right table at the right restaurant right when you want it. Here’s how: 1️⃣ Describe all your needs — including details about your group size, ideal vibe and time and dietary preferences — in AI Mode in Search or Google Maps’ Ask Maps. 2️⃣ We’ll search across multiple reservation platforms and websites to find real-time availability for options that match your criteria. 3️⃣ From there, Ask Maps and AI Mode will present a curated list of restaurants to choose from with direct links to finalize your bookings through partners like OpenTable or Resy.

We’re bringing new capabilities powered by Gemini models to Google Maps. With Ask Maps, get answers to complex questions about any place you want. For example it can help with complex requests like "Find me the best 3-hour family hikes in the Grand Tetons and a spot for a packed lunch”. Will try this next time I'm there:) Rolling out now in the US and India.
