Another praised technical marvel by the AM2 team, it helped to introduce 3D polygon graphics to a wider audience - a technology that was, up to that point, still restricted to the home computer niche and flight simulation industry. It's a bit short since it only contains 3 tracks, but its smoothness and responsive controls make up for that.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse for the Mega Drive (Sega/1990). Another excellent Disney game on this system, featuring great graphics, responsive controls and creative level design. Though designed to be accessible, it offers a satisfying challenge and remains a benchmark for platformers in that generation.

Metal Slug 6 was released during the series’ 10th anniversary year. It was also the first Metal Slug game to move beyond the Neo Geo platform and launch on the Atomiswave system. Since it came out during a period when the arcade market was already in decline, not many people seem to remember this title today. While the graphics did improve with the platform change, it doesn’t quite capture the finely crafted pixel art style that made Metal Slug 2 and 3 so memorable. In particular, the high-resolution backgrounds can feel a bit awkward because they don’t always blend naturally with the lower-resolution character sprites. The game also introduced Clark and Ralf as playable characters, along with unique special abilities for each character. A new weapon switching system was added as well, allowing players to carry and swap between two weapons. Another feature I thought was a good idea was Easy Mode, where you start with a Heavy Machine Gun by default, although you can’t access the Final Mission. It felt like a nice addition for more casual players.

Oficially licensing the 1993 F1 season, except for pilot Ayrton Senna, excluded because he was already signed exclusivity by Sega for Super Monaco GP II. The game was critically praised for its fluid framerate and speed, and was released on the Sega systems as well.
